That design looks like complete and utter ass. They just stuck a bunch of dumb looking shit all over a standard Godzilla look.

As some grotesque mutant/clone/whatever variation, then I'd be game. But as "THE" Godzilla? Fuck off.

Well, if you think about it, this design would have looked better walking around to the heavy metal in some of the fight scenes in Final Wars.

I personally love the original concept designs. Especially the crazy-looking demon/gorgo/spiky skele-zilla design. What's not to like?

Of course, thinking realistically, the design we have now is the smart way to go.

We're celebrating the fiftieth anniversary, so I would've gone with a recreation of the original 1954 design.

To correct what I said earlier, I do like the design, but not for Godzilla. It would make a cool opponent, or whatever, but not Godzilla. I'm glad they didn't decide on it.
