Unpopular Godzilla Opinions

I didn’t say all the movies. I said a decent chunk (at least five). I don’t and can’t comprehend someone who invests hundreds (thousands?) of dollars but has no actual interest in the primary media. It’s not so pervasive in the Godzilla community, but I have seen behavior similar in Pokémon groups where suddenly people with zero interest in the anime/games or actual Pokémon games, become fixated on collecting as a means for financial benefit/hype. I was more lampooning those types.

I've seen this with my own eyes. People buying the cards in order to sale them, and it can get nasty.

On the good side of collecting, we all need a hobby, and Godzilla/kaiju is good way to go.

Not in every regard, but in many important ways, Shin Godzilla (both the film and the design + interpretation of the kaiju) is more traditional/deeply tied to the original than Godzilla Minus One/Zero.
