I used the google translate app’s augmented reality feature to read the instruction sheet for Gigan. A few interesting tidbits:

Image

So the length of the peg determine which side the mandibles go on

Image

His beam is called a Gigalum Cluster (or Gigarum…. The app kept alternating between L and R)

Image

Risk of unexpected injuries…. Made me laugh considering Gigan’s two defeats in GFW.

Huh, seeing as I really liked Singular Point I hope this indicates they're going all in on it and we get a Salunga and Anguirus down the line.

Rodan's up at BBTS, and it looks like my idea of having an alternate battle damaged head for JJ didn't happen, the only accessories are the little Rodans and the flight stand. Oh, well. But it does confirm that he's a bit under four inches high (didn't say on a stand or on all fours) with a wingspan of a bit over ten inches. So small, true, but almost perfect to go with the equally weird NECA Illustrated Kong.

Hi guys
I have a question: How much does a Godzilla 2000 Special Color Version goes for these days? He's been used just for exhibit and still has both boxes.
Here's my Instagram, I post photos of my figures, customs and sometimes other stuff:

$200-$300 seems like the average price rn.

Definitely more eye-catching than the original. Will be curious to see it with better lighting. In those photos it certainly looks “electrified”.

I'm looking forwards to this, my favorite MonsterVerse redesign, in my favorite 'Ghidorah' colors (I think metallic gold is better on him than clay). And big enough that my other centerpieces like Music Box Godzilla, NECA Kong, SCV Biollante, MMS Gamera, etc, won't dwarf him. It may not be 'movie accurate' but for my mixed-scale/line shelf it'll be perfect.

The designs of the kaiju in SP are one of the main reasons why I'm as of now still reluctant to watch it. Rodan looks like a generic pterosaur for crying out loud.

Please stop posting barely-related discussions in random topics. This has very little reason to be posted in the SHMA thread, you could easily have just posted this in the Singular Point thread.

I LOOOOOVE the wing articulation. But, with that could also come some fragile fragile, snappy, wings.

And a comparison: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZJslioppHq/

The new one really pops compared to the original release.

Even though the first one is more accurate I'm posing the new Ghidorah with my Monsterarts and the old one with the Necas.

IDK, I prefer the old one honestly. I still wish I bought it back then, same with KOTM Godzilla, but honestly idk where Id put it.

Watched a couple of early reviews on YouTube ND Ghidorah looking pretty solid overall. Not sure if it is because of the shine but it seems like in a lot of the videos Ghidorah almost has red eye shadow around his eyes. Looks great overall though and I am excited for mine to come in.

I saw a few too. I have noticed that no one has mentioned popping joints or loose wings yet. Maybe they improved the tolerances! That or the new paint also helped tighten things a bit. Either way, definitely looking forwards to this and it will brighten up the shelf a bit too, I hadn't intended it but I realized today that if I can get it ON the shelf (not sure about the wing height) that they will act like reflectors for anything in front of them.

Yeah for me too it had to be gold. The old one looks kind of beige. Always wanted to repaint it to be more like this, so happy that is coming already. Though I had mine ship through ems, dhl was asking 160 for shipping.
