Goddamnit. The existence of bandai movie monster is a blessing and a curse. Gamera, Gyaos, Legion, Kong, , and especially Jet Jaguar are so damn enticing.

You can see here:

It has some nice detailing. I hope it's rotatable on the base.
I don't think spoilingis a big issue anymore. I think everyone knows. Be kind with SP related stuff though.

The Bandai movie monster line is the bane of my wallet at this point. So many must-haves, so little time!

Wow. That’s fantastic. A custom paint job could really elevate it, too.

That Megalon is a welcome surprise, I just wish the paintjob was better.

Re: Official Bandai (Japan) Thread 2.0
I was initially thinking about the lack of paint as well, but upon looking it over, its not as bad as it might seem at first glance. The original vinyl from the 80's had too much paint, lol. My only major complaint is that it could use a bit more orange paint at the sides/shoulders, but otherwise it looks good. Compare to the X-Plus for reference -
One thing is for sure, I do believe this will be an improvement over the awkwardly bowlegged Y-MSF figure.

Is that MG a total brick?
Megalon looks fantastic though, but just like the last 5 SP figures, looks like the states are going to have an issue getting them for a good price.

Re: Official Bandai (Japan) Thread 2.0
Nice, finally a 6" Megalon! And it looks way better than I anticipated, too. The only gripe I have with it is that the arms can seemingly only rotate to the sides, but not much upwards, like I hoped it would, to put him in cool battle poses with JJ... but, well...
AND I hope they didn't measure him at 6 inches at the tip of his horn and thus making him under-scaled like MMS Biollante or Destoroyah, but instead going in the direction of the old Titanosaurus, which stood a tad taller than 6" due to the longer neck... guess, we'll see ~

Damn man, less than a year after I got a YMSF Megalon because I was sure we'd never get a MMS one. Oh well. Looking good. Glad to see Megalon getting a lot of love this year. With the MMS releasing a variety of Showa kaiju the past few years, it does make me wonder if Bandai is testing the water and seeing what sales look like for them to see if doing Showa SHMA is an option now.

Same thing happened with Kong a lil bit ago. No need to worry. I actually expect that HLJ jumped the gun and put it up before they were suppose to. Megalon isn't listed yet either.Godzillakuj94 wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 3:19 pm And Mechagodzilla is already sold out and discontinued on HLJ

Re: Official Bandai (Japan) Thread 2.0
Do not worry. They exist and everything is fine. I feel like I am beating a dead horse, but stop assuming that just because the pre-orders run out that the figures are suddenly completely out of stock everywhere-HLJ probably reserves a bunch from a direct supplier like Bandai and then rebuys more. The situation in Japan is fine.Godzillakuj94 wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 3:19 pm And Mechagodzilla is already sold out and discontinued on HLJ
Megalon looks great. He goes on sale July 30th, which is a while away. I'm really happy by the amount of MMS we have been getting, even if it breaks my wallet. Oh well.

Re: Official Bandai (Japan) Thread 2.0
Is HLJ the best place to get these things in the US? I don't know what their shipping prices look like. All these figures coming out, I still don't know the best/cheapest place to get them!
IKR? I think this puts us at 13 totally new Godzilla figures this year alone, plus 2 Gamera figures, plus the Ultraman figures... Insanity. Not to mention Singular Point isn't even over yet and I'm sure there's more yet to be revealed. And we should be getting poll-winner Gorosaurus at some point, too...Thegarbagemonster wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 2:46 pm bruhhhhh why are they releasing SO MANY FIGURES this year

Bandai hasn't seemed all-too invested in this line for a while to me, ever since they came back in 2014; the 2019 releases in particular were a low-point. I welcome this long-overdue resurgence with open arms!
