Amber Collection Pteranodon is a big ol hmmmm.
Good: wings look incredible, very nice head sculpt (though it has the same problem of the raptors where when you open the mouth, the more child friendly teeth kind of break the illusion), stand is no longer piss, she's a BIG figure, there's a JP3 logo on the box and it made me insanely nostalgic.
Bad: legs SUCK as they're stiff to pose and just kind of dangle no matter what you do, the hand walking is next to impossible to do not because of the bendy wire (it can get close to completely folding in, surprisingly) but the hands, which are on tiny pegs and as plastic in the middle of rubber basically stop any attempts to go all the way in, minor nitpick but there's no hinge at the toes to initiate carrying sadly.
Still, not bad for the first articulated pterosaur. Now where's my quilled bois, Mattel?
(Also excuse photos background, had to do it quickly between classes lol)

Yeah, I'll be honest, he's way too big for that spot and is a bitch to pose lol.
Trying to find a better place to put him.
Edit: further fiddling has let me figure out the legs (for some reason Mattel has it come out with all the joints facing backwards?????) and the wings, so I can get a good flying pose and can whole heartedly endorse this figure.

I just ordered in the 'Mountains' environment pack. I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who crosses my dinosaur toys and my kaiju toys. I can use the trees and rocks for dinosaurs and Kong both. Still looking forwards to seeing the actual Kong critter pack.

I knew 1/18th scale was gonna be big, I even measured it out with a yardstick just to be sure, but my gosh.

I got an Atrociraptor for my birthday a while back, and then added the Mountain and Forest environments.

"Oh, there he is"
Wow, those look REALLY good with Kong. Now, I have to grab them for another reason besides the Raptors.
Also, got this happy family a couple of weeks ago.
I was hesitant about the Balaurbecause of the inaccuracies but I'm glad I nabbed her, she is GORGEOUS in hand, and the nestlings are utterly adorable.

I readily admit I mix and match stuff all the time, I plan next to get the glow-in-the-dark Zuniceratops for both 'dinosaur' and 'weird Skull Island thing' as it could easily pull double duty. But the trees in these two environment packs are perfect, and the forest and mountain sets come with a perfectly sized log and rock, respectively, too.

That's a classic toy that's long since overdue for a modern day re-release in this day and age. Lots of kids would love it.

Aside from the V. Rexes I mentioned on the King Kong thread, Nanmu also teased a Baryonyx for the Jurassic Series.

Still waiting on my Lex figure. Even a Pop would be nice.

At this point, all Mattel has left to do for human characters from the first movie are Ray Arnold and Lex. Lex could be in a "Raptors in the kitchen" playset, Arnold...not sure, but they'll probably happen soon anyway.Tyrant_Lizard_King wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:19 pm Still waiting on my Lex figure. Edit: Oh shoot and Gennaro, though I'd say the odds of a destroyable bathroom playset are low.

Ray Arnold is already confirmed isn't he? Pretty sure pics were leaked a couple weeks ago.
