I'll confirm that this works. I (mostly) cut out pop for a year or so, a while back, and I both lost weight and overall felt much better, had more energy, that kind of thing. Then I started working nights, and the misery of the first few months provided an excuse for me to fall off the wagon, and the weight and lethargy crept back. I'll have to crack down again pretty soon, here.

Thanks man! How much weight you trying to lose? An yeah I def agree with the drinks part, I had to cut sweet tea too because of the sugar intake but it saves you from a mushroom-top or beer belly.

Yeah, I spent most of my life as a hard-core soda addict, and when I gave it up I dropped a lot of weight pretty quickly.

I just received a fantastic postcard from a friend of my from NYC. She's a well known artist that's a few years older than me, and when I was a college student we'd drink whiskey in Central Park and she's read me poetry. She sent me a really nice letter telling me how she's sure my exploits and are great and told me she misses me. It just felt really good to feel appreciated, especially by someone you really really respect. Wiped away some of the disdain that I felt towards humanity after the recent debacle on the forums.

Went out to see if I could find some neighborhood birds to observe, and saw a group of black-capped chickadees behind the nearby school. They weren't interested in the food I tried to offer them, but they were still pretty close to me so I could watch them for a while. Filmed them and tried to take some photos, but they aren't of very good quality. I gotta go out and look for birbs and other animals more often.
