Good point... this is what I ended up doing. On my first try... I got the D-03 again. Eventually I got something I wanted, the Space Crystal, although I'm locked out on my mobile for 24 hours (I'm assuming because it happened right around midnight and the daily bonus kicked in which messed things up). Either way, glad it worked out in the end.
Using bluestack's backup and restore works wonders :D

Heads up, Mothra (1992) is available in the rare pack.

Lesson here: future monsters that require real money are also available in card packs. Spending real money only expedites obtaining them.

Not to be a pessimist, but anyone else thinking the updates for the title have come to an end?

I'm pretty close to creating an "unreleased content" section on the site to chronicle what could have been based on what's in the source files.

Granted, I still play the game daily, although not to the degree I used to (takes me weeks to do a time travel run rather than days).

I stopped playing early September I think. IOS has not received the most recent update that Android users have gotten as far as I know. I don’t think the Mothra costume works for us still.

I hope not, but Kaiju Collection kind of ended abruptly after just a year.

If the game does end support, I'd say it was due to the astronomical pricing. Most freemium games that succeed offer a lot of bonuses for little spending money. These guys are greedy, $50 for a pack of 3 top tier cards? Nope.

I'm hoping we get Baby Godzilla soon, but at this point it looks pretty grim. I'm doubtful that we'll get any additional dungeons and costumes for that anime lady. No way in hell we're getting another city. It's not too surprising. It doesn't take that long to unlock and max out the best cards in theme, and there's really only one winning strategy. At this point it's just a grind to unlock all the cards (still missing 9) and max everything out (I've got all of the Allies at level 7). Actual progress has been stagnant for months, and all I can do is, again, grind to unlock yet another Artifact, which might get me another Kaiju or two deep into each area if I'm lucky.

With the sub-par pacing of progression in this game, coupled with the fact that Legendary announced that they're working on a MonsterVerse title, it's no wonder that nothing's happening in Godzilla Defense Force.

Months after most people have probably stopped playing, I'm here with a huge dump of data. Essentially I finally unlocked the Tracer Bullet artifact. I've heard great things about it, so wanted to test it. I made these trials with the artifact from 0 (before) to level 12. I tested across five 3 card combos. My goal was to see how this artifacts influences the damage.

For these tests I reached Moon Level 18 - Armor Mothra with lv 3 Dimension Tide and lvl 22 VTOL (98% both). All cards max, DNA Computer level 25 ~30 seconds, FM Missile level 18 (18% critical chance). A maxed out Shobijin '04 was used with three cards placed immediately after the match started.

No boosts were used, although I discovered this was an oversight. When Armor Mothra knocked out the Dimension Tide or the VTOL it caused a huge drop in damage during that run. As a realized this, I started to collect more and more data. In hindsight I should have boosted twice to prevent this. As a result, my data is not clean. There is a lot of up and down. This would have happened anyway, though, due to the dynamic results of critical chance, but it was more pronounced due to this.

Combos tested were:

Godzilla 00 + Destoroyah Perfect + Godzilla 01
Godzilla 67 + Keizer Ghidorah + Godzilla 03
Godzilla 67 + Keizer Ghidorah + Destoroyah Perfect (started testing this at level 2 as realized too late it might be a good combo)
Godzilla 67 + Godzilla 00 + Destoroyah Perfect
Godzilla 67 + Godzilla 00 + Godzilla 01

Here are the results, averaged across all attempts:

Image

Y axis is % remaining from Armor Mothra when the timer ran out (sometimes Armor Mothra died and I had to time travel to do the whole thing over again... when I realized this was possible sometimes I stopped the match when it was clear he was going to die). X axis is the level of the Tracer Bullet.

So yeah, dynamic range on anything that relies strictly on luck with a critical chance to occur. A LOT more data would have evened that out... but I will be honest wasn't willing to commit the amount of time needed for thousands of tests. It's also clear that Destoroyah and the Tracer Bullet multiple together, while Godzilla 01 looks more like it's adding. This makes Destoroyah immensely more useful.

Given card stacking, this data might be slightly moot... but it does highlight that if you are doing a big card combo try to start with Destoroyah with the hopes that if your DNA Computer is long enough you might get to stack and have it in effect double for a few seconds which might score the win.

Strange, since Godzilla Kaiju Collection kind of petered out after the same amount of time.

Wow.. an update. Really thought we had seen the last from this game.

Anyone notice any additional changes? We have a new Rodan '93 card and Anguirus Showa in the codex, but both have issues (Rodan isn't displaying right and Anguirus has no name listed... not to mention it's unclear how one would get him).

Also, does anyone have the old 5 star King Ghidorah '64 card? In the shop it mentions it boosts all attack by 360%. If it was changed, that would make it the same as Mothra '92 and a much, much better card.

I have the previous limited KG. It is unchanged and still is city DPS X xx. So now there's two 5 tier showa ghidorahs?

If I'm remembering correctly, Mothra '92 was the last premium package in the shop. I can only assume they copy-pasted her format when re-adding KG '64 but forgot to update that little banner. Considering how Anguirus doesn't even have a title in the codex, and Rodan '93 isn't displaying correctly, this update's rife with errors :P

Iphone has the blacked out Rodan five star card and the Anguirus locked codex entry as well. The old King Ghidorah five star has the exact same image as the one in the new package but as already mentioned has the city dps. Hopefully they’ll get this sorted out, maybe it’s supposed to be a Rodan package, not another KG.

Good theory and I can believe this.

I'll email Nexon and see what they say.

Very possible as well. Super curious on that Rodan card too. Unless they messed up, it's only 2 G-cells. That's incredibly low for a five star card, although is nice to tie into the speed of Rodan. Hopefully it's not a skill attack card. My dream scenario is that's actually related to critical attack, which would make it superior to GMK Godzilla.

If it's critical chance or production speed, be hard to merit getting it although the increased duration of 30 seconds would be nice. If it's all attack, it would be better than Mothra '92 and one of the best cards in the game but would not reach into the top 6 best cards.

Someone left a very insightful message on one of my videos, giving a possible explanation for the lack of updates...
Spider Master wrote:I think I know why this game has not had any updates in a while. As I said before, I am a huge fan of both power rangers and Godzilla. This game was made by nexon, as was power rangers all stars. Nexon had a lot of employees let go as they are trying to merge thier console, PC, and Mobile game devolpemnt branches into a single company. Because of this, nexon had to pass ownership of power rangers all stars to move games last December. Just like how Godzilla Defense Force has not had a major update in while, power rangers all stars has not had any updates since July of last year.
