Official Godzilla: Final Wars original draft

This is not a fan-fiction story or something else, it's totally official.

Writted by Shogo Tomiyama and Wataru Mimura, the original draft of the film, was going to use characters that didn't make the final cut; Mechagodzilla, Gorosaurus and Mothra larvae, and even the Giant Octopus. A proofe for this is that there's a concept art for the Giant Octopus that appears with the other concept arts.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that Kiryu was supposed to have the role of the Gotengo. Sometimes I think Kiryu would have been a better choice, but for the sake of nostalgia I prefer the Gotengo.

The only reason this "theory" even exists is due to the rapid cuts of adult Junior between shots of 04' trapped in ice.

The concept doesn't even make sense considering the beginning Antarctica battle took place in the mid sixties, seventies.

What I DO recall from a supposed draft is a scene where Godzilla goes super Saiyan and begins flying around using martial arts techniques, not sure how true that is, but given the director, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

Plenty of interviews online with people involved in the production and nothing like this is ever mentioned. Pretty much just internet rumors with nothing to back them up.

You can't. Mechagodzilla at least was never considered. Gorosaurus was rumored (at least by Western fans) during production but I don't believe there's any official source that corroborates the rumor.

I kinda feel like Oodako would have most likely been in the place of Manda. The two would have basically done the same thing (constrict the Gotengo) and Oodako is more suited to be fodder.
