I hate Godzilla Vs Mothra.
I like Godzilla Vs Megalon.
Dont ask why...its just better IMO.

Also:
I thought that Fake Godzilla's cry in Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla was actually the real Godzilla's cry when i first saw it...

Ya know...i agree with you, except with the GvKG part, that's my favorite in the Heisei.

As my first Godzilla film, I thought this too. Mainly because I didn't know any better. Then it turns out the real roar is way cooler. : D

I think Godzilla vs King Ghidorah is the worse Heisei film. *Is shot with 45.*

I like Mecha-King Ghidorah's design and wish he was the space monster made into a weapon instead of three merged furbys. *Is shot with 50.*
I'm not aware of anyone who'd disagree with this besides myself, and I don't use guns.
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

That would have sucked if that was the real cry lol What's strange is this my 7th or 8th Godzilla flick so I should have known that,"hey, that's not Godzilla"...I must have been really out of it that night cuz I also thought the ape guys were the scariest thing EVER!

- While the Showa King Ghidorah's design was innovative, I think its power is overrated. Take away the Gravity Bolts, and he is not as threatening.
- I actually like the 1998 TriStar remake.
- Mothra is a great film that I think has been duplicated too many times in later films.
- Varan the Unbelievable is a movie I regret buying. Sorry. :x
- Godzilla vs. Megalon is my third-favorite Godzilla movie of all time.
- I believe that if Godzilla were to battle Gamera, he'd lose.

Extra kudos for this. Hell, I know someone's who's been a fan of this stuff longer than I've been alive, and MEGALON is his favorite film ever.

I'll gladly eat crow if it doesn't turn out that way....but at this point it feels painfully obvious, as it has for months.

I like all of the Godzilla movies including '98 (except GRA American) just not how some of them ended. Like the two MG milleniums, vs mothra (hesei), the sorry English dubbing in Heisei, and of course the cheap GINO death. G vs MG2 was actually very enjoyable in the subtitled version.

Son of Godzilla is a damn good movie and Gabara is one of the best villians in the whole series

^ What's cool about Gabara is that he is comparible to the school bully who always picks on the little guy. The Kaiju that have personality behind them really are my favorites.

I don't think it's a good movie, but Megalon holds a special place in my heart for introducing me to MST3K and giving me a long-running in-joke with my friends (the flying kick).
I also enjoy GFW, though I have no illusions about it being a piece of shit and killing the franchise.
The Heisei series is my favorite (though I don't consider it the best - I consider entertainment value and quality to be vastly different things) for its blend of continuity and realism with the right amount of fantasy.
And I know this isn't Toho, but I find Fuji from Ultraman attractive.

-Since I first got into Godzilla, I've always wanted to write a Godzilla story. While I have written a few, I would still love to be able to publish one (I know, the chances of that happening is impossible before anyone says something). I know it's because all my stories are mostly crossovers. I guess I'm not much of an original writer I guess.
-I've had a hard time watching Godzilla movies since Dad died. I tried a month after he died and couldn't do it. A couple of months ago I tried to do a Godzilla-thon and watch them in order and I got as far as Gigan. I just don't have the interest and I hate it. I would love to watch some but I can't get the nerve up.
-I really enjoyed the MST3K treatment of Megalon and The Sea Monster and kind of wished they did more Godzilla movies.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

Peter Jackson's first movie was a cardboard remake of King Kong.

Just food for thought.
