Lmao I cant wait for people to start trying to retcon KotM and pushing for Legendary and WB to exclude it from the Monsterverse like what the Snyder stans are doing with Whedon Justice League

I’m so tempted to watch this on HBOMax but I must hold off until I see it in IMAX tonight

Very fast-past movie, but I enjoyed the shit outta this movie. Godzilla was an absolute beast and I actually felt real emotions for Kong. I need a Hollow Earth movie featuring Kong now.

Re: Godzilla vs Kong General Discussion (No Spoilers)
I WAS in a bit of a theater/Max dilemma with Regal theaters reopening in a couple days, but then I looked up the reopening schedule and mine isn't reopening until May 14, so my decision is easy, especially with me having the day off of work. HBO Max it is.

Dad made me a custom Godzilla vs Kong shirt. Im off to the theaters in roughly two hours, so until then, this is good bye lmao. Not going to risk anything by staying on this site any longer.
See yall after I watch the movie. Peace!

I'm jealous of your Godzilla and Kong collection. Mine is amateurish compared to yours.Executive Hamster wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:11 pm Dad made me a custom Godzilla vs Kong shirt. So I think it’s pretty safe to say KoTM was the 1 fluke. 3/4 of the Monsterverse have been critical successes

True that. And the critics do matter just as much as financial gain I'd argue.
It's crazy that I know everything that happens in this film from start to finish. But am still hyped to see it with my friends tonight. I guess it's the theater energy.

There’s still a few things I’m in the dark about but I haven’t been to the movies since August. Plus this will be my first IMAX Monsterverese experience so I’m excitedernesth100 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 1:44 pmTrue that. And the critics do matter just as much as financial gain I'd argue.

Thank you very much. Ironically I consider myself an amateur collector. Its only been two years since I started and I am constantly learning new things.GodzillaFan1990's wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:12 pmI'm jealous of your Godzilla and Kong collection. So, I must first say that 1. I think Godzilla 2014 is still my favorite Monsterverse film and 2. I STILL like the original Godzilla vs Kong better. Both those films will forever be in my top five.
With that out of the way though, THIS MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. My family made fun of my hobby for years now and even they loved it and wanna watch more movies.

I was going to treat myself and stream this flick but I'm not paying $25.99 to watch a movie on my shitty computer. I'll wait until the summer when it hits my local Drive-in.

Debatable. I see a lot of people hate on that movie, more than I see actually enjoy it. Odd, cause it really reminded me a lot of old Showa Godzilla films with a modern coat of paint. Same with GvK, now that I think of it.

That's exactly why I think its the best. I'm a huge Showa fanboy and KotM scratched every itch.Executive Hamster wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 6:10 pmDebatable. Oh definitely, I've said forever that KOTM was like an early 60s G film, and now GvK feels like the latter half of the Showa era, with the wacky futuristic tech, I love it.SG-17 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 6:13 pmThat's exactly why I think its the best.
