since Toho made him i guess/ there's anatomy pictures that show him being made out of rocks and batteries, so he's more of a mythical construct if anything._JNavs_ wrote:Wait since when was King Caesar a robot?tyrantgoji wrote:

He’s a golem with mammalian features and fur so I think Toho and literally everyone else in the fandom would label him a “mammal” kaiju…_JNavs_ wrote:Wait since when was King Caesar a robot?tyrantgoji wrote:

Yeah he's certainly a mammalian kaiju, I don't see any robot-esque features.

Re: The “OTHER” Monsters (Spoilers Ahead)
I think the Gigan Analysis names two sources that contradict each other, one saying his claws have venom and the other saying they use electric shock and vibrations. Also some sources saying his saw rotates all the way while others say it just moves back and forth.Stump Feet wrote:Shame there’s no source given to cross check, would love to know where this came from.Living Corpse wrote:Welcome to the world of officially licensed Toho products contradict each other._JNavs_ wrote:Yeah he's certainly a mammalian kaiju, I don't see any robot-esque features.

It's been a while since I read the Artbook for the 2014 movie but I remember someone saying that it says that the Mutos are actually mammals. This could be totally wrong and I don't have the artbook on hand to check.

Technically, the MUTOs are not even tetrapods.
I'd change my username if I had the chance. It's a typo. It's supposed to be "66," and it's a very unfortunate thing to have on my account. Please help.

This maybe correct, it’s been a while since I’ve thumbed through it too but I certainly recall them flat out proclaiming they’re not insects, especially since the female has a visible spine when she’s decapitated.B34sT wrote:It's been a while since I read the Artbook for the 2014 movie but I remember someone saying that it says that the Mutos are actually mammals. I still believe they're ancient extraterrestrial mites.

Re: The “OTHER” Monsters (Spoilers Ahead)
I'm honestly fully on board with them being highly derived Placoderms. This would both explain them as earth-born organisms, and provide a reason for them looking so different from any other terrestrial animal. Although I do find the idea that some Extraterrestrial influence was at hand pretty peculiar.

Re: The “OTHER” Monsters (Spoilers Ahead)
There's no way to say that they are or not, unless there's something within official sources that specifically states they do not branch off the tetrapod lineMegaEvilSaurus666 wrote:Technically, the MUTOs are not even tetrapods.
I don't really get the 'distal Placoderm' thing either-- is it because they have the staple remover mouths?
