Except I wasn't referring to the potential winner or even the fight lol. We already have a Godzilla vs Kong thread to discuss this. This thread's existence just seems kinda pointless.

This is what I imagine will happen. Godzilla will clearly be the "victor" but it's not going to be a fight to the death and there will inevitably be another creature they team against.

Not saying I necessarily like that last part, but let's be realistic. It's Hollywood.

Back in the 60s, Kong was the bigger star and the "good" monster of the film so him winning was almost academic.

in 2020, both are "good" monsters in this universe, so that cancels out, but Godzilla feels like the bigger star now, especially in the last few years with his resurgence.

Also, Godzilla fans have complained for decades that Kong beat Godzilla the first time and some have gone as far to say that Kong didn't really win. I think the movie will be written in a way to make the Godzilla fans happy.

I fully expect them to team up at the end of the film against a big bad, but when they fight, I think Godzilla will decisively win without killing Kong. Hopefully they get to that point better than Batman V Superman did.

Serious answer, I expect Kong to win. But I am a Godzilla fan so I will still cheer on the big guy and expect him to give him Hell, Kong is gonna have to earn his win.

I expect Kong due to his status as underdog. Same was true for Civil War. Same was true for BvS. Same was true for the original KKvG.

Batman was not an underdog in bvS despite being the weaker LG the two. DC and WB have been up his ass since TDK.

This. As long as the fights are literally eye melting in their epic vision i'm cool with it. Not to start a DC debate or anything but i wanted more fighting between Superman and Batman in BVS. I hope Godzilla and Kong have two great fights in the film at least.
