I love that shot of Rodan right as he swoops in out of nowhere and ruins our short lived Godzilla/Mothra tag team. Such a cool moment.

I think that second pic highlights my problem with the Boston fight, there's such a lack of environment due to almost 0 actual buildings in the distance. Just looks like an old Godzilla: Unleashed map.

But that first pic? That's the wallpaper shot for sure.

These photos, are okay, but I think they highlight my problems with the film.

In the first photo, Godzilla feels really really really small. There`s nothing tangible to relate his size to.

The second one is better, with the addition of buildings and helicopters, but just look how many there are. They couldn`t have a few, nah they gotta clutter everything and insert like 20. God forbid you have a shot with Godzilla and King Ghidorah and maybe two helicopters for perspective.

Additionally, all of these photos in the thread, show how much of a dull color and CGI mess the film is. A page or two ago, there was some really nice colorful artwork. The film has colors for sure, but it`s always these yellows, blues and reds, severely muted by a dull somber grey.

As a MA resident, I can tell you Boston is a fairly flat landscape, there are some notable skyscrapers but I don't consider it the type of city to fill out a background like say New York or Chicago, especially around Fenway and depending which direction you look in. I'm curious to know the real driving reason behind choosing Boston of all cities as your stage for the fight, I'm glad they did, but it's certainly not the most picturesque city for giant monsters fighting.

I know everyone loves seeing buildings crumble and all, but I hope GvK has some fights in natural settings like KSI had.

I like the little cross in the background, real subtle juxtaposition of the last crowning :lol:

I actually had to look for it, it's not in your face like the one in front of King Ghidorah.

In-between Scylla and the MUTO in the front beside the battleship, might have to zoom in if you're not on mobile

Oh, ok, that’s the foreground, I was looking to the back. It’s mind blowing the small details that are thought out in films like this.

Wonder if the crosses have anything to do with Dougherty doodling Godzilla in his Bible.

Cross = God
Godzilla = GODzilla

No way... could it be...?

Holy shit the bad symbolism of Godzilla being isolated to a cave, only to come back a little later and be resurrected is really obvious and dumb now.

The Rebirth implications are actually quite subtle and well done thematically.
