I'd rather see a sequel to the 94 script by Rossio and Elliott.
Still the best, 1955...

Jeez, imagine if they actually had gotten their hands on other Togo critters after they made the sequel...

Boy would this have bombed hard. And considering how many fans loved, and still do love, Godzilla: The Animated Series, this would have arguably been a slightly worse slap in the face.

Okay, I had never read this until just now and...wow that sounds bad. Like, really bad, and not even necessarily because of the monster stuff. The human element surrounding it sounds like complete nonsense.

It sounds like a slightly less awful film than the 1998 movie.

It honestly doesn't sound like a bad story overall, but the death of all of Godzilla's children and the Audrey subplot seem unnecessarily cruel.

I love it,although I gotta agree that the Audrey thing is a little too mean spirited.

Is it me or the mutated bugs seem similar to Megaguirus as they kept swarming around Godzilla and him destroying them one by one and the character of Godzilla seems to have alot of Minya's trait to me in being more peaceful and feeling the main protagonist was his father.

I mean that predates 98 with Destroyah`s smaller forms in Godzilla v. Destroyah. Having insects swarm is nothing new, and I highly doubt this unfinished script had any bearing on future incarnations.Freebleeper wrote:Is it me or the mutated bugs seem similar to Megaguirus as they kept swarming around Godzilla and him destroying them one by one and the character of Godzilla seems to have alot of Minya's trait to me in being more peaceful and feeling the main protagonist was his father.

Honestly this sounds like a good film, i probably would have liked it, but still why did they name the enemy kaiju something like Queen B***?
A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Re: Tristar Zilla Unmade Sequel (2000)
It’s interesting how Godzilla was supposed to have atomic breath in this planned sequel, just like in GTS. Between that and Audrey having only one scene in the movie before being written out, it almost seems like they were actually responding to the criticisms of the first movie.

Re: Tristar Zilla Unmade Sequel (2000)
If only this sequel was also a live action 'adaptation' of Godzilla: The Series, with Monique, Randy, Craven, Elsie, and NIGEL. I could see Randy getting frustrated and naming a kaiju "Queen B-itch."tyrantgoji wrote:why did they name the enemy kaiju something like Queen B***?
