all my conversations about Gamera started with, "you mean that goofy turtle?"

something tells me that G3 would not appear "goofy" to them, but G1 and G2 would. there is only one definitive monstrous version of Gamera -- and G3 is that version.

I'm torn between G2 and G3. G3 has that sinister look, which I always adore for anything, but G2 has that more friendly style without it being overwhelming. A healthy balance. Perhaps G2 just because it seems more flexible for anything Gamera does whereas G3 can only fit within its film.

G2, for the reason people generally mention: that it's a perfect balance of cute and menace, right in-between the other two.

Though the other two are great, G3 is my favorite. Gotta love rough, badass looking Gamera.

GOTU by far. RegionGame just looks like he hasn't gotten the necessary amount of sleep while IrisuGame is actually my second least favorite Gamera design.

It's ironic that back in the Showa era, Godzilla had constantly changing designs, yet Gamera's remained consistent, while in the 90's, it was the other way around.

Ever since getting a few friends into the trilogy I have softened on the hands of G3. It really is a great design.
But I STILL got to maintain G2 as the best.

I really can't decide between G1 and G3. Each captures the personality of the monster in a way that's tonally and stylistically perfect for their respective movies.

As great as the G2 design is, it doesn't quite go far enough in either direction to satisfy me the way its brothers do.

The Gamera 3 design is sick! I love it.

All three are great and fit their movies well, but G3 is one of the greatest monster suits ever made.

I enjoy all three suits, but my favorite is the 1996 one. Feel like it's a great update of the Gamera design.

The 1999 suit is awesome, but feels a bit too... I guess aggressive looking for what I associate with Gamera's character. That said, I do find it the more appealing suit over the 1995 one.

This. This so much.

G3 feels too... monstrous I guess. G1 feels a bit bland, but G2 feels so good.

I'm definitely giving this to 1999 Gamera. That's pretty much what I think of every time I hear the word 'Gamera.'

I'm going with G2 Gamera here. I think it has the perfect balance between G1 and G3's designs.
