Attack on Titan Movies?
Has there been any word on when the two live action Attack on Titan films will get a U.S. home video release? I've been waiting for the BDs to watch them, but haven't heard anything one way or another since they finished their runs in theaters.

As far as I know, I haven't gotten any word of a US release (in terms of DVD/Blu-Ray). Not entirely sure if we could get it, either. Still, if you have a PS4, nothing a little importing can't handle. That said, I don't even know of the Japanese film is out in Japan yet. Let alone the 3-episode Attack On Titan: Counter Rockets/Whatever it's called. I'd love to get my hands on those.

The UK gets Part 1 on Blu-ray in June, but it's distributed by Manga Home Entertainment. I think Funimation is the distributor for the US. Not sure what's holding them back.

This. I still check from time to time. I am similarly puzzled by the lack of a US release for the LA Kenshin trilogy.Starsteam wrote:I think Funimation is the distributor for the US. Not sure what's holding them back.

The miniseries is called Hangeki no Noroshi, and it is out on DVD in Japan:KaijuX wrote:As far as I know, I haven't gotten any word of a US release (in terms of DVD/Blu-Ray). There was a subtitled stream for Australia/ New Zealand markets, but Funimation dropped the ball on this one. I'd say just keep demanding it.

Disappointing news, but hopefully we'll hear something soon. I'd assumed since it got a U.S. screening a DVD or Bluray would follow soon after, it's unfortunate that no word has come about any American home video release.

Sure that they'll get here eventually. FUNimation is likely aware of the demand in the US...

IIRC, Funimation brought Shinji Higuchi to their booth at last years' San Diego Comic Con. I'd guessimate that emailing them about it would be a good idea.

Re: Attack on Titan Movies?
If I recall, wasn't it mentioned at a convention a few weeks back that they were planning to "eventually" release it on DVD, with the suggestion that that meant probably next year?Lain Of The Wired wrote:Still no word on this?

'bout bleeding time! Ought to pick this up (as well as the animated series) when it comes. Now where's that Part 2?

There's a dub? Honestly, I don't know if that's going to be a thing.Lain Of The Wired wrote:My question is: How's the dub?

Funimation's site lists Japanese and English audio for it.KaijuX wrote:There's a dub? Honestly, I don't know if that's going to be a thing.Lain Of The Wired wrote:My question is: How's the dub?

Re: Attack on Titan Movies?
Huh. It'd be really bizarre if they used the anime-dub, as I recall Funimation dubbed AoT.

FINALLY! I can't wait!
Of course there's going to be a dub. Outside the Showa Gamera movies, I'm not sure I've ever seen a foreign language film of any sort that didn't include an English dub as an option on the DVD or BD.KaijuX wrote:There's a dub? Re: Attack on Titan Movies?
Although, it would be pretty funny if they used the anime dub cast for the live action movies.KaijuX wrote:Fair enough.Pkmatrix wrote:Of course there's going to be a dub.
