Official Warhammer 40k/Warhammer Fantasy thread

Post by Breakdown »

Since this was greenlit, I figured I'd go ahead and make a thread for it.

I main Tyranids with Imperial Guard as my second army. Im slowly auctioning off my IG to build a Chaos Space Marine army. So far I have 1 squad of Chaos Marines and a Terminator Lord. My Tyranid army is like ~70% complete with a couple of Termigaunts and Genestealers left to paint. I got all the big monsters out of the way first. I'm looking to buy a Tyrannofex and Exocrine as my next additions since I've heard they're excellent as anti-vehicle and anti-infantry respectively.

What armies do you play? Are you in it for the game? The lore? Collecting and painting? Share pics of your armies! Especially your P R I M A R I S L I E U T E N A N T S

Also bought an Imperial Fist Intercessor figure during the one week of ordering because it's the only loyalist legion I like, everyone else is.... Well I don't find them appealing. Been thinking of making an army of Iron Warriors (favorite traitor legion), Genestealers, or Tyranids (Hive Fleet Kraken for having the best color scheme).

Might as well go ahead and list my Tyranids:

1 Swarmlord

1 Hive Tyrant with Barbed Strangler

1 Tyranid Prime with Deathspitter

2 Carnifexes, one with quad Deathspitters and the second with Crushing Claws and dual Deathspitters

1 Maleceptor

2 Lictors

1 Broodlord

20 Genestealers

30 Termigants (10 with Devourers, 10 with Fleshborers and 10 with Spinefists)

3 Warriors (1 with Devourer, 1 with Deathspitters and 1 with Barbed Strangler)

3 Ripper squads

Too lazy to get point values lol

Take a look at the factions that are in the universe and consider buying their codex. There's tons of lore in them as well as the tabletop rules for the faction. Then from there you can branch into the novels. There's also a 40k Wiki for even more lore for various characters, factions, weapons, etc. It's a lot to take in at first, but that's how I got into it.
