2004, Mount Fuji

The final battle for the Earth’s invasion by the Vortaak had begun to end. The battlefield was covered in the embers of war, their long struggle coming to an end as the invader’s last weapon had lost the power to fight off the King of the Monsters.

Space Godzilla cried out in agony as Godzilla shot out an atomic blast, striking the crystal shoulders, breaking them, and leaving the clone without power. The void invader stumbled on the remains of Mechagodzilla as smoke rose from his form before a portal opened up from behind him. His eyes widened as the blue wormhole began to take him, a cry of fear excited his maw as another beam of blue radioactive energy struck his head, taking half of his face before disappearing into the void.

The monster king released a cry of victory as he watched the clone finally disappear. His home was finally safe from the invaders. Godzilla turned away from the portal, not sure what to do but to leave the battlefield and return home. Miles away those that remained in the invasion, cheering as the war had ended. The last of the Yamato Guardians nodded, giving a sign of respect before taking his leave. Anguirus turned towards the last of Humanity’s weapons, the ankylosaur was ready to jump in to help his friend and knew that Jet Jaguar felt the same but they stayed out of the way, listening to their friend’s command. He was just grateful that their strength was not needed.

The robot walked over to the corpse of Rodan, lifting the once-proud protector into his arms and walking towards a hole in the ground. The dead deserved to be buried, to have respect. That was the least he could do for them after their sacrifice against the invasion.

-Bowser’s Kingdom-

In a far distance reality, sat a king on his throne. The king of the Koopas began to ponder his next scheme, his last failing to capture Princess Peach for his own gain due to a pair of pesky plumbers. Every time he attempted to gain power they stood in his way, they needed to be dealt with once and for all, but how would he accomplish this?

The Koopa placed his fist underneath his chin, closing his eyes as he began to think of a plan...BOOM! The door to his chambers swung up, the king’s eyes opening as anger began to bubble up due to his train of thought being interrupted. “WHO DARES DISTURB ME!?”

“F-Forgive me, your grace!,” The Koopa scout kneed, sweat ran down his brow. “We discovered something in the Snow Kingdom. A corpse of a gigantic monster.” Bowser raised his eyebrow with curiosity as he walked towards the Koopa. Looking down at the turtle before offering him a hand. The Koopa took it, rising to his feet before his king walked past the door.

“Show me.”

“Yes, my lord!” The Koopa quickly began to run, making sure Bowser was close behind to investigate the corpse. Soldiers of his army prepared to make his airship ready to go, aiming to prepare for a possibility of battle. A squad of Koopas saluted him as he walked by, his presence giving them complete attention.

“Man your stations! We are off to see what this corpse has to offer.”

“Yes, your Koopaness!” The Koopa all ran to their respective stations, the airship lifting into the sky and towards their destination. From below the ship’s deck, sat a small Koopa with a bib and paintbrush. He had always wanted to see his father in action and maybe if it came to it, he could help the king in the upcoming battle.

“I’m going to make you proud Dad. Just you wait.” Bowser Jr smiled, eager to show his worth to his father.

Minutes turned to hours as the airship traveled from kingdom to kingdom before finally making it to their destination. Bowser stared down at the corpse of the slain beast. Crystals laid on its back, face, and tail. Half of its skull was missing, blood and brain matter dyeing the snow a dark crimson red. The one eye having no light in it anymore, only a dim orange center remained as life was drained from it. Bowser huffed as he stared at the corpse, this beast had fallen to something much more powerful than it, perhaps he could take whatever slew it and put it under his control. Perhaps that way he could end the lives of the Mario Brothers. The mighty king of the Koopas looked past the corpse, finding a blue and black wormhole.

What was this? He had never seen anything like it. Perhaps it was a gate to another galaxy or some sort of magic. Either way, they needed to go forth. “Full speed ahead! We need to find whatever killed this thing and show it the mighty of the great Koopa army!”

With his command, the airship went through the portal. The king smiled as he cracked his knuckles, he was ready. Ready to finally test his strength against something worthy.

-Earth, Mount Fuji-

Godzilla looked upon the graves of those that had been lost. His soldiers, his friends...his family. He would never forget their sacrifice. The rogue pteranodon, the god of Seatopia, the guardian of Okinawa, the peaceful dinosaur, the goddess of infant island & the mountain Baradagi. All lost in the effort to protect their home.

The monster king suddenly felt something, some signature emanating from the portal. He turned looking at the portal, snarling at the gate between worlds. Anguirus and Jet Jaguar looked towards the rift before the pair backed away, whatever would arrive through that portal they knew that their friend would want to face it alone, especially if it was the cosmic clone returning for a second round.

From the rift came an airship. Soldiers ran to their battle stations as they emerged from the rift, aiming their sights at Godzilla. Bowser smirked before slamming his fist into his open palm. He knew this was the beast that made that corpse back in the Snow Kingdom. The beast resembled the mangled body, only looking a bit more natural and dinosaur-like than the crystal behemoth they found. “So this is the alpha of this land. Hmph. Listen here you overgrown reptile! I am Bowser, King of The Koopas and you will face me in combat!’

Though Godzilla did not understand what the small turtle was saying, he knew a threat when he saw one. His dorsal spines, flashing blue before a beam of radiation shot forth, the airship dodging in just the nick of time. “So you want to play dirty huh? I like your style,” Bowser turned to look at his loyal subject Kamek. “You know what to do.” The king of the Koopas lept from the airship, breathing in as he prepared to strike the ground. Kamek rushed downward, putting magic on his lordship as he descended towards the earth, Bowser began to grow at a rapid rate in mid-air. As he slammed his fist into the land below, dirt erupted into the sky. His body reached the size needed to face the alpha titan. Bowser smirked as he got to his feet, his grand entrance should leave a lasting impression on his opponent.

Godzilla looked straight ahead at the approaching Koopa, snarling as he watched Bowser crack his neck before getting into a fighting stance. “Prepare to feel the might of the Koopa empire!”

The nuclear behemoth roared as he charged forward, nuclear energy rushing through his claws as he swung at Bowser, only for the Koopa to dodge the slash, grabbing the monster’s arm before striking him with his free fist. Godzilla stumbled back, blood falling from his nose as Bowser struck the monster king’s chin, forcing back further. The Koopa King reached his arm back, prepared to strike Godzilla once again, only for the alpha to slash upward, sparks flying as his claws crashed across the turtle’s hide. His conductive touch sending energy through Bowser’s body, earning a groan from the conqueror.

The mutated Godzillasaurus reached forward and grabbed the Koopa by his arm, pulling him before throwing the turtle into the ground. Bowser turned as he began to stand again, seeing his enemy charge forward. The Koopa King made a sinister grin as he retracted into his shell and spun, charging forward. Godzilla roared in pain as Bowser crashed into him, sparks flying the spikes grazed the skin. The monster king reached out, grabbing the spinning turtle, grunting in pain as the spikes cut open his hands as he finally stopped the attack before lifting the Koopa and tossing him into the air. Bowser cried out in confusion as the alpha titan’s dorsal spines once again illuminated blue, energy surging through the mutant before exiting his maw. The atomic blast quickly caught up to Bowser, landing a direct hit on the underbelly of the invader. Bowser groaned as he crashed into the ground, steam rising from his form as he made his way back to his feet.

The conqueror began to feel his anger bubbling up as he roared before charging. Bowser lifted his fist into the air as he approached, Godzilla readied himself for his opponent’s attack when suddenly he vanished. The monster king raised a brow as Bowser slammed his fist into his face from the side before disappearing once again and slamming his fist into his gut. Godzilla released a gasp for air as he hunched onto his opponent’s fist, Bowser standing above the hunched-over monster king, making a sinister grin as he chuckled. The titan released a growl of anger as he sank his teeth into Bowser’s hand, shaking his head violently as his razor-sharp fangs tore through his flesh. The Koopa king roared as he grabbed Godzilla by the back of the neck, pulling him away before kicking Godzilla, forcing the alpha back.

Bowser looked at his hand and saw that blood had been drawn. In all his days, no one had made him bleed. Not the plumber brothers, not his darker counterpart, not even the likes of Galeem. But this beast, the king of this world, had drawn first blood. He didn’t know if he should feel respect towards his opponent or pure rage at the sight of his own blood.

“Hmph. I would expect nothing less from the one who killed that crystal behemoth. I don’t know if you can understand me, monster but know this. You will pay with your life for this transgression.”

Godzilla stared at the Koopa. Though he did not understand what he was saying, he knew a self-absorbed Kaiju when he saw one. The guardian of Earth released a roar into the sky before charging forth, Bowser grinning as he followed in example. The two reached back before slamming their fists into each other. Shockwaves following suit as they continued the attack over and over until the pair of kings wrapped their hands around each other. The two staring with violent intent as they reared their heads back and slammed them together, the headbutted creating a shockwave that almost knocked the airship out of the sky.

The ship's crew cried out in fear as they attempted to not fall to the earth. Kamek laughed to himself as he watched the pathetic soldiers cower in fear before his eyes widening at the sight of Bowser Jr. “My prince!” Kamek rushed down to the stabling ship as the young Koopa walked out from below the deck, wanting to watch the fight his father was in. “How did you get aboard the ship!? Do you realize what kind of danger you are in!?”

“What does it matter? Dad will beat this sorry excuse for a king in no time. Just you watch. Oh and as to how I got onto the ship? I walked on. Who would dare challenge me?”

Kamek raised a finger before stopping in mid-thought. The prince had a point. Those that would oppose him would surely meet their end by his father. “They may be true my lord but I am not too sure that your father would like to see you here.”

“Maybe but I know I can make papa proud,” The young Koopa pulled out a paintbrush covered in black paint. “With this, he can reach a level of power that was once foretold in legends.” The young Koopa smiled, knowing that this time his Dad could be in control of the power that was held within the magic paint. The last time he had painted his father as a prank but now they could test it in a combat scenario that wasn’t against Mario.

The two kings backed away from each other, shaking their heads to try to make them focus once more. Bowser growled before once again teleporting, appearing above Godzilla. As the Koopa descended, he got into a slamming position, aiming to crush his opponent. As the monster king once again gained his vision, he looked all around him before looking up, his eyes widening as the turtle was gaining speed. Quickly Godzilla turned, swinging his tail into the air, slamming his tail across the invader’s face, making Bowser slam face-first into the ground. The mutant turned, looking down at Bowser as he approached.

The Koopa spit out a tooth as he turned before being pulled, his opponent wrapping his talons around his tail before slamming him into the ground repeatedly. The ground around them forming craters as Godzilla repeated the process before tossing him to the side and firing another atomic blast, earning a roar of anguish from the Koopa as he slammed into a rock wall. Small boulders falling onto him as a result.

Bowser looked up at the approaching saurian, he was looking for a worthy opponent in Godzilla but now he found himself literally against the wall. Bowser placed his hand on his knee as he rose from the earth before placing both hands into the air. A ball of lightning emerging from his hands as a storm suddenly rolled in. “Let’s see how you handle the elements!” The ball of electricity gained mass before the Koopa threw it forth, Godzilla’s eyes widening as the magic attack slammed into him. A blinding light engulfing the area as a roar echoed throughout the area. Not a single sound following the monster’s roar of pain. The Koopa began to chuckle before his hope was diminished by a growl in the thick smoke. Godzilla emerged from the fog, growling as he stared into Bowser’s eyes.

If it had damaged him, Bowser could not see it. He only saw the burning rage that laid within the beast. The Koopa king huffed under his breath as fire surrounded his maw before a volley of fireballs slammed into the monster king, not even flinching as the flames struck his hide. Only moving forward. Determination and rage fueling Godzilla to end this charade. If this intruder to his home was going to go all out, then so should he.

“Why can’t I hurt you!?” More flames surrounded Bowser’s maw before unleashing a stream of fire, coating Godzilla in flames. The monster king continued to march forward, reaching through the flames and wrapping his hands around Bowser’s throat as he stared into his eyes. The Koopa king looked into the soul of the beast that stood before him, only feeling the hatred of a burning sun. Bowser began to shake...was this fear? His thoughts interrupted as Godzilla sent energy through the Koopa, earning a scream of pain before Bowser raised his leg and kicked him away.

Godzilla stumped backward, looking down Bowser as he quickly approached once again. The Koopa raised his leg before slamming it into the ground. The earth beneath their feet shook, forcing a roar of confusion out of Godzilla as he marched forward. Only a slight inconvenience in this battle.

Bowser began to paint as sweat ran down his brow. He had to think of something and fast. “I’ve got it!” From a magic pocket, Bowser pulled forth a Cat Bell before putting it on his collar. The Koopa smiling as a golden light engulfed him, his form beginning to change. Fur was added to his reptilian body, tiger-like stripes covering the arms, legs, and tail. His tail resembling that of an ordinal cat, his hands and feet turning into white paws. Black whiskers laid on his face, the hair that sat on his head turning into a white that faded into a red.

Meowser stood before Godzilla. Ready to take back the fight.

Godzilla raised a brow in both confusion and curiosity at his opponent’s new form. Though it mattered little what the turtle changed in appearance. He would crush the intruder to his home, the home that they fought so hard for.

Meowser charged on all fours at the alpha before leaping into the air. Godzilla roared as the cat Koopa crashed into him, forcing them into the ground as he swiped his claws across his scared body. Sparks flying from every slash that Meowser made before blue flames erupted from his maw, firing fireballs directly into Godzilla’s face. The monster king roared with fury as he reached up, grabbing Meowser by the neck once again before slamming him into the earth. Mewoser shook his head as Kaiju Alpha got back to his feet, smoke rising from his maw as energy surged through his dorsal spines. Meowser’s eyes widened before he quickly jumped out of the way of the beam.

The atomic blast followed the retreating opponent, destroying the ground beneath their feet but missing the target by a mere hair. Meowser quickly jumped towards the side of a hill, running across it before leaping above the atomic blast and swiping his claws at Godzilla's eye. The monster king stopped his attack, screaming as the sensitive organ was damaged. Closing his eyes as he turned towards the landing Meowser.

Godzilla roared with fury as he charged at his attacker, Meowser quickly turned around, attempting to strike his opponent with his tail when the monster king reached out and grabbed the tail. Lifting him into the air before spinning and throwing him towards the portal. Meowser released a cry as he crashed into the ground, destroying small crystals that laid beside the rift.

As Meowser rose back to his feet, he laid his eyes on the crystals. He didn't notice them when he first arrived in this world. The Koopa King sensed power within the crystals, perhaps he could take this power and use it against this beast.

Meowser turned towards Godzilla, quickly jumping to the side as the monster king fired another atomic blast, the beam firing into the rift between worlds.

"You were trying to send me back. Pathetic."

Meowser reached into his pocket, grabbing a Clone Cherry before absorbing the power-up. Four clones stood by him before circling Godzilla like a pride on the hunt. The mutant snarled as he opened his new healed eye, spotting the multiple clones as they jumped forth. Atomic energy coursing through Godzilla's veins before emitting a roar and unleashing a nuclear pulse. Pushing the clones back in a single move. Meowser's eyes widened as he witnessed the power within the saurian.

The monster king grabbed one of the clones before slamming it into another, making the pair disappear. Godzilla turned, firing an atomic fireball at the third, destroying it in an instant. The last clone charged forth, jumping into the air before being caught by the alpha and slammed into the ground. The clones now being dispatched, Godzilla once again turned his attention towards the real threat.

"I guess it's now or never..." The Koopa king pulled out a Star power-up and grinned with malice before being smacked across the face with Godzilla's tail, forcing him back as the Star Power fell towards the monster king.

"NO! NO! NO!" The star absorbed into Godzilla, the mutant flashing rainbow as the newfound power rushed through his veins before charging. Godzilla quickly struck Meowser with his claws, swipe after swipe cutting into his flesh, drawing blood and splattering in on the land before he headbutted him in the chest, pushing him back before firing a stronger atomic blast, pushing Meowser into the earth as he screamed. Rubble fell onto the warlord as Godzilla charged forth, rage consuming his form as the monster king continued to slash into his flesh.

The energy of the star quickly began to disappear, the quick rush of power flashing rapidly before ceasing it exist but that mattered none to Godzilla for he continued to beat his opponent down until they dropped their transformation. Bowser continued to be beaten into the ground, blood covering his body, rage began to boil over as adrenaline rushed through. Bowser reached out, grabbing the incoming hands of Godzilla before using all of his strength and throwing the monster king into the sky before teleporting to strike the monster king back to the earth. The shockwave sending Godzilla plummeting to the land below, screaming in fear as he made contact. The earth breaking apart and swallowing him whole. Crystals following him as he plummeted into the hellish abyss, shattering upon impact. Energy rushed through Godzilla as he slammed into the magma, opening his eyes as a chain reaction began to occur.

Bowser teleported back to the ground, coughing up blood as he attempted to stand. “Take that, you bastard…” The Koopa king marched forth, only wanting to return to his realm. Then he suddenly stopped and looked back at the hellish abyss he had dropped his opponent in. The alpha had shown again and again that he was not something to be trifled with, he needed to make sure he was dead.

Bowser Jr watched from above, the young Koopa panicking knowing that his father was about to face the mutant once more. Only uttering a few words under his breath. “He’s coming…”

A spiral of atomic energy launched from the crater, hellfire turning the sky red as the rebirth of a god began. From the pillar, Bowser saw the shadow of the beast rising, his eyes a burning yellow filled with fury and hatred. The monster emerged from the hellscape, stepping forth from the pillar as it disappeared. His dorsal spines were blood-red, his body pulsing in atomic energy. Steam rising from his body, the heat from within burning to the surface. The monster king raised his head into the sky, unleashing a roar of divine power.

He had returned...the apex of strength...Burning Godzilla.

Bowser looked in fear, his body shaking at the realization that...he can’t win. Not against a god of fire and death. He had underestimated his opponent and for that, he would pay for his life.

“DAD!,” The Koopa king looked up, spotting his son in his clown car descending from the airship. “I know how to beat him!”

“What are you doing here!? Do you realize how much danger you are in right n-” Atomic energy climbed from within the nuclear saurian’s body before unleashing an atomic blast at the invader, Bowser quickly grabbed his son and jumped out the way. His eyes widening in fear as the land beside him erupted, the earth exploding on impact and turning the mountainside into a hellish blaze.

“Dad, listen! I have a way for you to beat him!,” The Koopa prince reached for his paintbrush, the black paint that he once used to prank his father covered the tip of the magic artifact. “With this, you can beat him!”

Bowser closed his eyes as he quickly thought of a decision. The last time he had been consumed by this magic he had lost control of himself, giving in to his rage. There was no conscience, no reason, only fury...Was he prepared to make that jump once more? If Mario could beat him in that form, then what chance did he have of beating the apex kaiju in it? Though the chances were slim, he still wanted to live. Not only for him but the family that drove him.

The Koopa king opened his eyes, looking down on his son. Filled with pride that he would risk his life for him...Bowser smiled at his son as he made his decision. “Junior...I want you to turn me into that thing but as soon as the transformation begins, I need you to promise me to leave. Take the airship and go into the rift.”

“But Da-”

“NO BUTS! I will hold him off and when I have beaten him, I will come home. I promise...son.”

Bowser Jr shook his head, determination filling him as he splashed his father with paint. The black magic quickly covered him. Bowser closed his eyes as he opened his palm, letting his son floating in the air. “Go…” Quickly the young prince flew off towards the airship, keeping his word to his father.

“Please...make it back Dad,” Junior landed on the airship, looking towards the ship crew before pointing at the rift. “Your king has ordered us to retreat! Full speed ahead towards the portal!” The airship turned back, disappearing with a trace as they made it back to their home.

Red flames erupted from the side of Bowser’s maw, his eyes turning a soulless white as his body turned to a pitch black. The spikes on his back, slowly turning red along with his hair. The Koopa king unleashed a roar of rage as he returned to the form of prophecy.

The God Slayer...Fury Bowser.

Fury Bowser quickly retracted into his shell and charged forth at full speed, aiming to slam into the burning god, only for Burning Godzilla to reach out, grabbing the approaching Koopa, lifting him above his head before slamming him into the earth, cracking the very land beneath their feet. Fury Bowser quickly spun in a circle, the spikes on his shell cutting into flesh as the god of incineration roared in agony. Atomic energy climbed up the monster king before releasing an atomic blast at the painted turtle landing a direct hit. Fury Bowser roared in pain as he was sent flying, landing on his back and paint flying across the arena.

Burning Godzilla looked around him, spotting the magic paint as he moved forward. His curiosity quickly disappearing as the paint began to steam, the heat from his body burning away the paint. Fury Bowser leaped to his feet, sending pillars from the sky towards the earth and his opponent. The Kaiju looked into the sky as energy was released from the radioactive saurian, the burning atomic pulse destroying the pillars in an instant.

Fury Bowser fired a series of bombs before leaping into the air, landing behind his opponent. The bombs slammed into Burning Godzilla, earning a groan of annoyance as the Koopa grabbed his tail and threw the beast further into the forest, lighting the forest ablaze. The god of fire looked towards the monster of prophecy, rage boiling over as he swung his tail free from his grasp and smacking it across the beast’s hide. The Koopa backed away, flames erupting from the side of his maw as he lifted his head.

Godzilla’s dorsal spines crackled with atomic energy as the burning monstrosity released a roar of fury, opening his maw, a bright orange light illuminating the area.

Then at once, they released their respective beams of power. The fire slammed into the atomic ray, pulsing as the energy bounced back and forth. The two locked eyes as the beam struggle came to an end, the Burning Atomic Blast slamming into Bowser’s face, a white light blinding the area, a roar of agony erupting from his jaws as he was slammed into the ground. Steam rising from his form as patches of the magic paint were burned away, revealing parts of Bowser’s face.

The Koopa king took in deep breaths as he jumped back to his feet. Fury Bowser unleashed a howl of rage as he quickly retracted into his shell and got onto his side, charging forth. Godzilla swiped at the approaching king, only to miss and be struck by the speeding turtle. Sparks flying as the spikes slashed his hide, almost forcing him to the ground. Bowser quickly turned around, repeating the attack over and over again, slicing into flesh. Burning Godzilla released a roar of pain as he fell to his side, his eyes widening as the god slayer approached once more.

Thinking quickly, Godzilla released a Burning Atomic Ray onto the ground, causing an explosion that sent his enemy soaring through the sky before crashing on his back. The monster king rose back to his feet, stumbling to keep balance as he approached. The mutant looked at his grounded opponent, spotting a big orange spot on his stomach. Godzilla slashed the illuminated stomach repeatedly, shockwaves sending out into the arena. Fury Bowser retracted from his shell, reaching out and grabbing Godzilla by the face and unleashing a beam of fire, engulfing his face with flames. The mutant smirked as he wrapped his hands around Bowser’s throat and slammed him into the ground, stopping the attack. Godzilla continued to slam the invader into the earth only for Fury Bowser to once again unleash spikes, sparks flying as they slammed into Godzilla’s hide, forcing him off. The Koopa king got back to his feet, charging at the alpha titan.

Bowser opened his maw before clamping his jaws onto Godzilla’s arm, ripping into flesh. Blood flowing into his mouth and onto the ground. Godzilla stared into the invader’s eyes, a boiling rage rising as he growled at the turtle. With his free hand, Godzilla grabbed one of the spikes and slammed it into Fury Bowser, sending him to the ground and freeing him from the Koopa’s grasp.

Burning Godzilla lifted the pillar above his head before slamming it repeatedly into Bowser’s head, forcing him further and further into the earth before stabbing his hand with the pillar. The Koopa released a scream as Godzilla kicked the pinned monster, his flesh ripping as he was freed from the pillar. The paint and blood flowing in the air as he slammed into the inferno. Energy once again was released from the king’s maw, the Burning Atomic Ray slamming into Fury Bowser’s stomach, the beam of radiation burning away all the magic paint as his weakness was struck. Bowser cried out in agony as he returned to his base form, falling to the ground, heavily breathing as his sight was disappearing.

“So this is my destiny? Dying in an alien world to an opponent I brought upon myself.” As Bowser looked to the burning god that stood before him, the Koopa spotted the crystals he saw earlier in the battle. Coursing with energy, calling to him. Perhaps he could use the energy to heal himself or gain just a little more strength to fight off Godzilla. Quickly Bowser pushed past the pain and ran towards the crystals, Burning Godzilla shot out another atomic blast, missing by pure luck, striking the land behind the running Koopa, destroying more of the battlefield.

Sweat ran down his brow as he reached the surging crystals, each pulsing with energy. Bowser slammed his fists into the crystals, the legacy of Space Godzilla surging through him as he continued to absorb the energy. Lightning surrounded his arms as his eyes became a glowing light, he smiled as Godzilla fired another atomic ray, only for Bowser to be engulfed by light. The blast not affecting him as his form began to change. The light disappeared as Bowser returned unwounded, his horns becoming like that of a bull, his face more fierce than before, his body becoming more muscular and dinosaur-like. The spikes on his shell becoming like needles surrounded by electricity.

A newcomer is approaching...the once slave of Galeem, Giga Bowser, stood tall and ready to resume the battle with Godzilla.

Once again he had changed his appearance, once again he delayed the inevitable. Burning Godzilla released a roar of fury as he charged forth, the atomic saurian hellbent on destroying the invader. Giga Bowser walked slowly towards the approaching fire monster, waiting for his chance to strike. The monster king swung downward, only for the Koopa to grab the approaching fist in mid-air. The nuclear leviathan raised a brow, surprised that the intruder to his world could stop a blow from one of his forms. Giga Bowser pulled his free arm back, black magic surrounding it before the fist slammed into Godzilla’s chest. The monster king released a cry as they were sent flying back, crashing into the earth below. Godzilla shook his head as he began to rise, feeling blood fall down his maw before it evaporated from the heat.

This beast did not show this kind of strength in any of his previous forms, perhaps he had underestimated the turtle. As Godzilla rose back to his feet, Bowser leaped into the air, putting his body into a ball as they slammed their body into Godzilla’s back, forcing him back to the ground. A cry of pain emerged from the monster king as the impact created a crater, blood being spit out of his maw. Giga Bowser cried out as the heat burned his legs, jumping back as steam rose.

The flame behemoth struggled to rise to his feet, his bones broken and his energy running low. This state was powerful but if he did not destroy this new form of the invader, he feared that he would perish and this world would be taken once more.

Giga Bowser slowly approached a sinister grin laid on his face, aiming to kill the monster that had made him feel fear. The beast that had made him bleed and face the dirt like a simple commoner, he would pay with his life. The Koopa king jumped into the air, dark magic once again surrounding his land, aiming to strike the hydrogen bomb giant, only for Godzilla to reach up and grab the arm in mid-air. Rage boiled over as nuclear radiation shot out, the burning atomic pulse sending Giga Bowser flying, burning the turtle as they landed on the ground.

Now, this was interesting. No opponent he had met made his Giga form even flinch but here he stood after being sent flying. Even in his strongest form, this monster was still a threat. Giga Bowser roared as he charged forth, heat surrounding his skull as he prepared to smash the behemoth forward, only for Godzilla to grab his horns, lift him into the air and slam the Koopa into the ground. Atomic energy surrounded Godzilla’s maw as he prepared to fire an atomic blast, only for Giga Bowser to quickly spin, freezing parts of the flame behemoth in an instant.

Burning Godzilla released a howl of pain as the freezing temperature covered his body, making him back away as he sent out an atomic blast, causing the attack to stop. Bowser cried out in pain as he was forced into the ground, smoke rising from his form.

The monster king stared down at the downed beast as atomic energy once again was released in all directions, the ice shattering into shards and once again sending Bowser flying. Godzilla looked down at the limbs that were once covered in ice, seeing steam rise from his body as the cold turned the limbs into a white coloring. The flame behemoth growled as he turned his attention towards his opponent. He could feel his energy beginning to disappear, the cold only making the process quicken. Burning Godzilla fired an atomic blast, hitting the rising Giga Bowser straight in the face, sending him backward as he released a cry of pain before slamming into the mountainside.

As he made impact, an explosion engulfed what remained of the forest, sending the very earth into the sky. Godzilla released a roar as his burning state began to disappear, the power within returning to nothing but embers. But it mattered little, for he had finally ended the intruder that stood before him.

Godzilla continued to look through the dense fog, their eyes widening as Giga Bowser’s fist collided with the side of his jaw, sending the monster king soaring before crashing into the flame engulfed forest. A cry of pain echoing through the valley of death, blood falling from his maw as he stumbled to his feet. The atomic mutant growled under his breath as he watched Giga Bowser charge forth, the Koopa king aiming to finish the brawl.

The dark magician jumped into the air, quickly retracting into his shell and spinning. Slamming into the dinosaur’s hide, cutting into flesh as a volley of electricity surged through the wounds. Godzilla screamed in pain as his exposed flesh was shocked, the open cuts releasing steam as a result of its cooking. Adrenaline rushed through his body as reached out, wrapping his hands around the shell, cringing as it cut into his flesh. The monster king raised the turtle above his head before throwing him into the ground.

Atomic energy climbed up his body before unleashing an atomic blast, the beam of radiation crashing into Bowser’s underbelly. The warlord released a cry of pain as he once again crashed into the earth. Godzilla stepped forth, his regeneration making quick work of the damage done by the invader. Determination and rage pushing him forward, his strength returning to him before a surge of energy stopped him in his tracks.

A migraine rushed through his mind as he fell to his knee. His breathing became heavy as his vision became blurry. The energy that transformed him into his Burning state began to trigger a power hidden for years. Godzilla closed his eyes as a memory rushed to him.

The sky was crimson. The city's in ruins. A god of old has returned. The Xiliens had returned with a vengeance, altering time in their favor. They had grabbed the ruler of earth, sea & sky from ancient China and injected it with the cells of the world’s protector and the demon of the stars.

Godzilla stood in a heap of rubble, his knuckles bloodied as a result of his opponent’s hide being too strong for his blows. The wounds across his chest bleeding profusely onto the ground below.

He had never faced such a strong opponent. The god of darkness had made him fall from grace, both his warrior pride and body broken from the mountain’s blows. Each strike breaking bone and cutting flesh. Was this the end?

Suddenly he felt energy rush through him, the monster king turned spotting the Super X 2 firing energy into his body. His cells changing at the second, the foreign DNA of King Ghidorah rushing through him. White light engulfed him as his body began to change. Bagan roared as he charged forth, aiming to kill the monster king.

As the memory faded, Bowser lifted his arm before swinging, only to be stopped by Godzilla’s hand catching his fist. The dark magic disappearing in a flash. The alpha titan rose to his feet, the white light disappearing, revealing his evolved form. The scales turning into a dark purple, his underbelly and spines turning green. Spikes emerged on his shoulders, tail, and maw. A green crown laid upon his head.

As Godzilla opened his eyes, the blood-red color of rage pierced into the eyes of the invader. The monster king began to apply pressure, breaking the hand of the warlord in an instant. Giga Bowser let out a roar of anguish as the king reared his arm back, energy surrounding it before he slammed his fist into the beast’s stomach, sending him flying, cracks forming on his underbelly as blood sprayed from his maw.

The power of King Ghidorah’s cells was once again unleashed, the atomic energy from his Burning state triggering the transformation. Now stood the avatar of power, Super Godzilla.

Giga Bowser vomited blood onto the ground and his underbelly as he looked up, his vision blurry from the blow. He had gained the upper hand and still, this beast pushed on through every attack, every attempt to kill him. The warlord slammed his fist into the ground, furious at himself for putting himself at death’s door. He had brought this upon himself and he would pay the price.

The dorsal spines glowed orange, atomic energy dancing through each spine as lighting surrounded them. The god made a grin before opening his maw revealing an orange hue as he unleashed the super atomic breath. Bowser quickly without thinking got to his feet and jumped out of the way. The beam of immeasurable power caused the very earth to shake as it caused a massive explosion upon impact.

Bowser struggled to get onto his feet, blood falling from his maw as he stared at the behemoth before him. Why? Why did his body move on its own? He had accepted his demise and yet his own body fought against his will. A tear fell from his eye as he remembered his son, his kingdom. He had to fight to the very last stand.

Giga Bowser roared as adrenaline rushed through his veins as he leaped into the air, dark magic surrounding his fist as he descended to the ground. Quickly Super Godzilla swung his tail at the descending fallen king, electricity surrounding it as the limb struck the turtle from the sky, crashing into the ground next to him. Bowser groaned and attempted to rise once more, only for the incarnation of strength to slam his foot into the shell of the Koopa, breaking it an instant.

The destroyer of the Mushroom Kingdom roared in agony as Super Godzilla grabbed his tail and threw him across the battlefield as energy surrounded his belly before shooting forth. A beam of blue radiation rushed towards the flying Koopa, the face of his killer laying on the front of the beam.

Bowser closed his eyes, reminiscing on his life. Every duel between himself and Mario, the bonding he had with his children, the growth of his empire. He would die knowing that at the very least, his kingdom was in the hands of his son who he couldn’t feel more proud of. With a single tear rolling down his cheek, he was ready. He gave it his all. That’s all that mattered.

The Nova Beam opened its jaws as it consumed Bowser, a roar of agony and sorrow filling the air as the Koopa was stripped of flesh, leaving nothing but bone as the beam slammed into the ground. An explosion engulfing the area, the fire reflecting in the eyes of the mutant.

As the smoke cleared, Godzilla approached. Looking at the corpse, he could finally confirm that the intruder had been finally vanquished. The monster king reared his head up and let out a trumpeting roar into the valley of fire before turning away and beginning his journey home…but something felt off. In the corner of his eye, he saw a burning orange light.

Before the apex of strength could turn, his tail was grabbed and pulled before being tossed to the side. The dirt being pushed back as Godzilla slid across the ground, the monster turning his attention to the rising skeleton. How was this possible? He had stripped him of flesh and organs and yet the beast still stood.

The undead warlord turned his head, locking eyes with the mighty Super Godzilla. His magic returning him from the grave, Dry Bowser let out a declaration of war before unleashing a volley of fireballs. The flames striking against the invincible king of the monster’s hide, not having any effect as he approached. The revived Koopa quickly jumped forward, aiming to slash the monster’s scales only to the nuclear behemoth to grab the incoming attack and rip the arm off before slamming it across the bone turtle’s jaws, sending it flying.

Cracks formed across Dry Bowser’s body as he tumbled across the valley of death. Catching himself before he fell into the pit of magma he sent Godzilla in earlier in the conflict. The undead warlord knew he was only delaying the inevitable, his dark magic bringing him back to life after an attack that would have destroyed him normally but to his surprise, the spell worked.

The emperor of the Koopa kingdom only wanted to bring the mutant to the grave with him. Smoke rose from his body as he dragged his feet in the dirt like a bull before charging headfirst at his opponent. Orange energy surrounded Super Godzilla’s maw before unleashing a stream of atomic energy, the Koopa dodging the attack before wrapping his hand around his neck and throwing the mutant behind him, Super Godzilla dragging his feet as he was thrown closer to the pit.

The mutant howled as he prepared to charge, only for the warlord to slam into his hide, pushing him enough to fall in. Godzilla’s eyes widened as he began to plummet into the cavern, raging fueling him as he reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling the monster in with him. Dry Bowser released a cry as he was pulled into the fiery abyss, the pair slamming into lava. The monster king threw the Koopa off of him, slamming him into the cavern walls before the ground beneath him. The undead monster growled as flames surrounded his maw before Super Godzilla’s foot slammed through his rib cage, the bones breaking and sent flying from the force of the attack. Dry Bowser unleashed a stream of flames as orange light engulfed the monster’s king’s maw once more.

Firing the atomic blast at his head, killing him in an instant as the earth around him began to shake from the immense force before an explosion erupted from the crater. Engulfing the area in flames and death as the shockwave reached the top of the mountain. The earth swallowed Godzilla as he released a cry of surprise. Energy surrounded his stomach as the earth itself collapsed upon him. All was silent for a few moments before the Nova Beam ripped through the land, making it possible for Godzilla to reemerge. The apex of strength climbed out of the earth, shaking the dirt and magma off of his form as he returned to the surface.

Godzilla marched forward. Seeing Jet Jaguar & Anguirus cheer from afar, the monster king made a small grin. The fight was over and he could return home. All was well and those that invaded earth were once again shown the might of its defender.

Stay away or bow down to the king.

-Bowser’s Kingdom-

It had been only a few days but the loss of their king had brought quite the toll on the kingdom. Their prince sat alone on his father’s throne, pondering on what to do next. His father was gone and he was given the responsibility of a whole kingdom. Why not one of his siblings? Why him of all people?

Bowser Jr looked up at the painting of his father and him. Smiling at the fond memory before Kamek walked in the door.

“Why do you disturb me, magician?”

“I came to pay my respects, my lord. I knew your father my whole life. Raised him ever since he was dropped here by the stork. I miss him too.” Bowser Jr continued to stare at Kamek before responding to him.

“Thank you for the condolences. Is there anything else?” Kamek was taken back. He figured that the prince would want to talk about his father but it seemed that the young Koopa was not ready for such a discussion.

“No, my lord. I’ll be on my way.” Kamek turned around, walking out the door and closing it behind him as he looked back at Junior.

Bowser Jr slammed his fist on the arm of the throne as a tear began to swell. He missed his father. If he ever got the chance, he would kill that beast for what it did.

Spoiler:
I remember reading this on DA, and I was a blast from beginning to end. Bowser and Godzilla went through all their different forms while beating the life out of each other was great, as was Super Star Godzilla. The love between Bowser and Jr was in perfect character, and it was really tragic that Bowser couldn't live to fulfill his promise to his son.

10/10 match

I too remember reading this on Deviantart not long ago!
Spoiler:
In hindsight, having this be set after an alien invasion is kind of.. odd. There's a lot of tension built up with how every monster besides Anguirus and Jet Jaguar are dead, but it doesn't really go anywhere. Beyond that though, everything else is great! Both of their forms were utilized well, and the action is intense and heart pounding. Definitely a welcome debut for the Koopa King.

Poor Bowser, if he said "Showtime!" at the beginning he would've won.

Jokes aside, this was an awesome match! The use of all their different forms and abilities was great, as was the characterization, action, and overall dynamic. It's amazing how much stuff you fit into the fight. Part of me wishes it was a little longer, but I won't complain.

But man, this is the second KWCE Godzilla win in a row to be a tear-jerker for the opponent. :(
Guy who does stuff, also a KWC/KWCE writer! :D

This match had a lot of grammar issues, so it could use a good amount of editing on that part. On the other hand, though, both the premise and actual battle was awesome. It's like Super Smash Bros meets Godzilla: Unleashed,
Spoiler:
with Godzilla and Bowser going through all their forms as they beat the ever-loving sh*t out of one another. And even though he lost, Bowser fought to—and beyond—the literal last breath like a boss.
Overall, 3.5/5 match in my view. It's a really good one.

This one is a little rough around the edges. Some.grammer issues and repetitiveness with the names. Still proud of the actual fight itself but could have used some editing. Glad everyone is at least enjoying it still.

Yeah I’ll take the L on the lack of editing, my bad. I did edit it, but just a quick go through to fix glaring issues, not with a fine-toothed comb like I usually do. Won’t happen again.

Still a solid match, with a great premise and really fun action, and some pretty good character beats as well. Great debut for Bowser, and Heisei Godzilla is used very well also.

It's pretty amateur with the spelling errors
Spoiler:
and the whole war thing felt unnecessary,
but I won't judge that too harshly.
Spoiler:
Using the versatility of both Godzilla and Bowser to full effect was impressive. I think it did a good job of making you able to sympathize with Bowser too.
Overall, a well done fight.
