Pain flared in every nerve, his entire body feeling as if he were on fire. He roared into the heavens as the black void swallowed him whole before causing a shockwave throughout the city of Tokyo before disappearing. White light blinded him as he began to fall further and further into the void. His roars slowly being muted by the sound of his heartbeat. Where was he going? Where would this endless void bring him? Wherever it was, he knew one thing; He would one day return to Japan and burn the country to nothing but ashes.

His eyes snapped open and Godzilla found himself in an unfamiliar ocean. Cubic fish swam by, the ground which surrounded him were made out of blocks. The whole environment looked to be made out of these blocky substances. The water felt different, there was no nuclear waste or garbage in this sea. It was untainted and pure. That thing that swallowed him whole, it must have brought him here, to this world of odd cubes. Godzilla began to swim north, following his instincts to try and find land to gauge his new surroundings.

***

Today was like any other day for Steve. The builder cleared out his farm before tending to his animals, feeding them with the crops that were freshly picked. He smiled and pet a few of the baby sheep that had recently arrived at his farm. Steve pulled out a stone sword, ready to harvest some of the older animals for food when he heard screams. The builder turned towards the direction of the screams, seeing what caused such an alarm.

Villager, Minecraftian & various other mobs ran in horror as the land became a pitch-black, chunks of land & building began to be ripped from the ground, floating before being absorbed into the pitch-black mob. Purple light scanned the ground, picking up mobs one by one, absorbing them into their being. Becoming all with it.

Steve had heard rumors of this “Wither Storm” but hadn't believed them to be real, but here was the proof before him. The storm had three gigantic heads, purple light glowed from their singular eyes with malice. Tendrils appeared throughout its body, which swiped at the nearby trees, swatting them from off the ground and throwing them across the village. Wither skulls were launched from the eyes, impacting the ground and sending the terrified villagers scattering in the air thanks to the explosions. Steve quickly ran into his house to grab gear, searching through his large chests for the only thing he knew would protect him.

The beach behind Steve’s house began to overflow, water splashed against the building, dorsal spins cut through the water before it surged forward. Godzilla had finally found land. The nuclear leviathan rose up onto the beach, seeing odd creatures running from a massie black storm. He looked at the storm, before opening his mouth and bellowing out a challenge towards it. No matter what world he found himself in, he wasn't going to back down from a potential threat.

Steve ran out of his house now wearing a full set of diamond armor, a diamond sword in his right hand & an iron shield in his left hand. He didn't know what good it would do against the storm, but he had to try. The man stared in awe and fear as he looked upon the monster that stood before him. Was this another mob of legend? He had found old texts in his adventures, hidden books deep within the earth that spoke of a powerful creature, spoken of only in rushed and fearful tones. Was this Mobzilla? No, he had never seen a creature that hadn't resembled a cube like the rest of his world did. Whatever this creature was, it wasn't Mobzilla.

This may be the first true monster this world has witnessed. Steve could only stare up in awe as he tried to think of a suitable name to call this creature.

The Wither Storm turned it's three disgusting heads towards Godzilla when it heard the challenge from the monster. They hissed before shooting out Wither Skulls at Godzilla. The monster king flexed his claws, eyes narrowed and his spines illuminated a bright orangish-red, flame and smoke erupted from the sides of his maw before unleashing an atomic blast. The red beam detonated the Wither Skulls before they even reached Godzilla and slammed into the Wither Storm, pushing the mob back from power of the attack. Parts of the storm's body disappeared, only to regenerate the damage as quickly as it was made. So this creature had regenerative powers also? He would have to remember that.

Tendrils launched at Godzilla, wrapping around his shoulders amd neck. Godzilla grabbed the tendrils and began yanking them, only to grunt in surprise as he felt himself be lifted by the Wither Storm before being thrown into a nearby mountain. Godzilla cried out in pain as he crashed into the blocky structure, frightened animals and mobs fleeing for their lives as debris rained down on them from the impact.

Godzilla rose to his feet and shook himself a little to wash the debris off of him. Wither Skulls screamed at Godzilla but flexing his legs, he used the crumbled mountain as leverage and leaped over them, slamming down onto the storm. The monster king slashed at the storm's blocks, ripping apart the mob until the middle had finally been revealed. It looked mechanical and stood out, lights flashed rapidly on the block. Godzilla’s dorsal spines illuminated with radiation, heat built up around the two.

Tendrils wrapped around Godzilla’s body before once again throwing him, the atomic blast going wild as he was tossed around like a ragdoll again. The Wither Storm rose back to the sky, more blocks were absorbed into their being, making them increase in size. Blood began to seep from Godzilla's snout as he watched the creature floating before him. Rage built from inside of the leviathan and he fired his atomic ray at one of the approaching tendrils, blasting off a tentacle off of the storm. The monster of the Nether hissed in pain before purple lights emerged from the air and began to pull Godzilla towards the Storm. Godzilla struggled to free himself from the tractor beams. Nuclear energy began to surge through his body, his whole body illuminated a bright shining red before Godzilla unleashed his nuclear pulse, pushing the Wither Storm back. The Storm made a cry of pain and was shoved back by the blast, blocks falling from it's body. Before his opponent could recover, Godzilla began feverishly burrowing into the blocky ground. He had a plan...

Steve climbed up a mountain, aiming his bow at the Wither Storm before shooting arrow after arrow at the beast. He watched as the ranged attacks did absolutely nothing, merely being absorbed into the being's void. Perhaps a new approach was needed. Steve scrolled through his inventory before hurling a few potions at the Wither Storm and watched in dismay as again, nothing happened. He would have to think of something fast, assuming that the other creature didn't return.

Steve ran from the cliff before jumping onto the Wither Storm, stabbing his sword into the mob to make a makeshift platform. The builder got onto his feet and began to climb the Storm, aware of how insane his plan was. But it was the only thing he could think of to stop the abomination from taking everything he knew. Steve began to see the darkness creeping into his vision, and he realized that maybe his plan hadn't worked as he was absorbed into the blackness.

The Wither Storm’s tentacle had finally regenerated and they began feeling aroundd the ground, wanting to locate it's opponent. The ground below collapsed in a violent explosion before the Storm felt itself being grabbed and pulled into the hole. The three disgusting heads turned toward the hole, seeing Godzilla yanking it down and roaring. Wither Skulls were launched, crashing into the monster king's eye, shoulder, and chest, detonated with energy.

Godzilla roared in pain, letting go of his opponent as he pressed his hand on his wounded eye. The Wither Storm floated high into the sky and out of the hole, shooting a massive volley of Wither Skulls at Godzilla, each one colliding with his body. The nuclear leviathan began to dig once again, taking blows as he escaped the line of fire. The ground churned and rumbled as the Storm watched Godzilla erupt from the ground again just north of it. Smoke curled from his body, his wounds slowly healing for the attack. One eye now was forced closed from the Wither Skull's assault for the time being. The nuclear leviathan charged forward and bent down, forcing his dorsal spines into the chest of the Wither Storm. Heat built up in his spikes, slowly burning the storm's flesh and exposed blocks. The Wither Storm’s blocks caught fire but despite the pain it didn't care. Tendrils slowly wrapped around Godzilla and pulled him off of the burning Storm. Before he could be thrown around again, Godzilla lashed out with his tail and slammed it against the Wither, forcing it back and breaking its hold on him.

A tendril was launched at Godzilla only for the monster king to wrapped his jaws around it and began to spin, building momentum before throwing the Wither Storms. Their body flew but did not fall.

Three tendrils were launched at the strange leviathan but Godzilla batted the first one aside, charging forward as the other two missed and sailed past him. Finally back in front of the Wither Storm before he reached out to grab on the storms left and right heads before their jaws wrapped his arms and clamped down harshly. Godzilla groaned, blood seeping down his arms. Godzilla began channeling is power before the storm yanked him downwards, slamming his face into the blocky ground over and over again.

Nuclear radiation coursed through his veins before unleashing another nuclear pulse, pushing back his attacker. Godzilla got back to his feet slowly, glaring with hatred at his opponent.

Godzilla's crippled vision began to blur, and he staggered slightly, swaying drunkenly in place. He felt his strength being sapped by some unknown force. Despite feeling sluggish and drained, he wasn't going to give up that easily. Focusing his vision as best he could, Godzilla watched as the Storm began coming closer, eager to finish the battle.

Godzilla shrieked in rage before smacking the Wither Storm’s heads with his tail, using the momentum to do a full 360 and rake his claws down the Wither's body before unleashing a quick burst of atomic energy from his mouth, sending the flaming debris from the Storm falling down around them like meteors.

The Wither Storm lazily smacked Godzilla with his tendrils, sending the weakened behemoth to the ground. Godzilla struggled to return to his feet as the Wither Sickness ran through his veins, wheezing slightly. The Wither Storm hovered above Godzilla, ready to finish the fight.

His dorsal spines flickered with atomic energy, Godzilla felt his vision growing every darker. Despite this, he could see something at the creature's chest. Something that was flashing in the darkness. He didn't know what it was, but Godzilla knew that if he didn't his mark, he would die.

He fired his atomic ray one last time at the Wither Storm as it approached him slowly.

The world seemed to still as the Storm stopped dead in it's tracks as the atomic breath finally died down.

Godzilla had hit his mark. The command block was destroyed, the Wither Storm began to crumble away. Godzilla let out a triumphant roar before collapsing down on the ground.

From the black blocks, those that were trapped inside were released from their dark prison. Steve took deep breaths of fresh and clean air before he began running around, trying to help the survivors of the brutality as they slowly collected themselves.

Regaining consciousness, Godzilla sluggishly got to his feet. Grunting as the little block creature scattered and squealed in fear. No matter, he pulled himself towards the water and gave one final roar before he crashed down into the waves once more, ready to find a temporary shelter to rest from his fight.

The Monster King's blood laid across the land, Steve grabbed the bottles from his inventory and started to collect the blood samples. Just like Godzilla himself, his blood was an anomaly. Instead of adhering to the same blocky principle as the rest of his world, this blood seemed to be more fluid, almost like the liquid in potions.

Interesting...

-1 Week Later-

Steve sat in his house, coughing violently and spitting out some blood as he continued his research. He had no idea that the radiation Godzilla had naturally emitted had been slowly poisoning himself and the biome around him. What's more, despite the Storm's defeat, he still felt the Wither sickness eating at the back of his mind, slowly taking away his memories and his life.

The builder had been researching portals. He wanted to know how the Storm broke through from the End and the Nether. Perhaps if he finally unlocked their secret, he could even prepare to deal with the creature that had defeated the storm. He wondered if this "Godzilla", as the others began calling it, could survive in the Nether. Wiping some blood from his mouth, Steve felt pain wrack through his body as another coughing fit started.

A roar cut through Steve’s thoughts, the sick man ran out of his home, looking onwards in awe as Godzilla rose from the ocean, making landfall and stared to head north looking for new territory, with no trace of the Wither Sickness on it's body. Going back inside, Steve feverishly began to work, ignoring the ground rumbling with each of Godzilla's mighty steps.

-Tundra Biome-

They found it. They finally found it.

Alex and her team of miners had been searching for The End Portal for years and had finally found the ancient artifact.

Alex grinned and looked up at the portal. "I can't wait until Steve hears about this." She said out loud.

This is an older match by this writer, and it does show imo. Goes by too quickly for my personal taste, but that’s the only proper negative thing I can say.

Spoiler:
You'll need to wait for him to respawn, lady... then you'll need to respawn after finding out why. Radiation poisoning, yay! :huge:
This was a decent match

and it's neat to have Minecraft in a match.

And the Big G finally meets Minecraft!

A very entertaining match. Always wanted to see something along the lines of this in the KWCE.

Side note: is this based on the actual video game Minecraft, Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode, or both?

Side side note: the Mobzilla reference was hilarious.

Despite the fact this has been sitting on the shelf since when KaijuX was still in charge, this is still a solid match. Bacon's writing has only improved tenfold since then and the only complaint I really have is that there's not more of it! Solid match we got here homie.

Thank yah, homie. It means alot. As my first KWCE (the second one I ever wrote) it's not a bad debut. My writing as far improved from the KWCE and KWC so I look forward to showing everyone the evolution of my writing.

It's definitely rough around the edges and pretty short, but not a bad debut for FatBaconUnicorn, still a solid match. Interested to see where this goes in the future.

I'm not really familiar with the Wither Storm (I haven't played Minecraft in years), but it looks and sounds like an interesting creature and made for a good foe for Godzilla 2000, who already spent his two movies fighting flying opponents (the Millennian UFO and Megaguirus). A little rough around the edges, as has been said, but still a fun, fairly solid match. I liked the idea of Godzilla getting to the world of Minecraft via the Dimension Tide, and I got a good chuckle out of the darkly humorous moment of "Then Steve grabbed his diamond sword and leapt into action, ready to-- oh, no, wait, he died."
"Name me one fight where Anguirus didn't get his dick kicked in."

As someone who has been playing Minecraft for quite a while, this match was pretty cool for me. I like the realistic elements added to the world of Minecraft, and the mention of Mobzilla from the Orespawn Mod (who is basically a parody of Godzilla 2000) is an awesome shoutout. I do agree certain parts were a bit too fast, but other than that, decent match.

The teaser at the end has me excited for a sequel with the Ender Dragon fighting.

Definitely an earlier match, but nice to see it finally here and posted. A strange mental image of detailed Goji in the blocky world of Minecraft, but one I find enjoyable. It's all right for what it is, and goes by a little quick (though others have pretty much pointed out everything else). The only real nitpick I have is just the usage of "&" over "and". Just kinda distracting when used in serious prose form, though that could just be me.
