Deep down in the Atlantic Ocean, a giant creature had just opened its eyes. To the world, it was dead, but now here it was, alive. It was the very first Godzilla that attacked Tokyo back in 1954.
Godzilla had gotten up and looked at his oceanic surroundings. The original monster king didn't know how, but he was still alive. The last thing Godzilla remembered was that he was resting in Tokyo Bay, until suddenly he was consumed by bubbles liquefying the oxygen, suffocating and dissolving him in the process. Something tried to kill him; he tried to swim away, but couldn’t escape from whatever was disintegrating him. The last thing he recalled was a vessel on the surface before the world turned black on him.
But now here he was, alive and rejuvenated. However, Godzilla didn't know where he was. This wasn't the same place where he had died. Just then, Godzilla sensed a trail of radiation in the water. It was weak, but was strong enough for him to follow. For Godzilla, radiation was food, a fuel source he was in short supply of. Godzilla instinctually followed the trail and soon came to learn what was giving off the radiation.
The sun shined down on London as people ran in terror along the streets. The city was under attack by a different monster. Like Godzilla, this creature was a dinosaur that was exposed to radiation, a Paleosaurus. However, unlike Godzilla, the Paleosaurus was in pain and was slowing dying from its own radiation. The Giant Behemoth was in so much pain that he was blinded by his own fury and rage, taking his anger out on anyone and anything he saw.
Tanks rolled on the street and opened fire on the Paleosaurus. However, the only thing the man-made weapons did was making the Paleosaurus furious. The Paleosaurus snatched a tank with his maw and threw it into a nearby building as he proceeded to crush the subsequent tanks with his girth. The rest of the tank battalion backed away and kept firing at the paleosaur. The Paleosaurus unleashed radioactive waves from his body onto the tanks, melting the outer shell and the soldiers within them. The survivors that were in the vicinity cried in anguish as they reduced into a pile of melted gore.
Meanwhile, Godzilla had emerged from the River Thames. The King of the Monsters could sense the radiation was strong here. After Godzilla walked onto the land, he noticed destruction wrought upon this cityscape. Just then, Godzilla heard a distant roar. Something else was here. Whatever made the roar was also where the source of the radiation was coming from. Godzilla made his way through the ruined London to find what was generating the radiation.
With thundering footfalls echoing the distraught city, the Paleosaurus turned around and saw something was marching through this hellish land.
Godzilla stopped when he saw the Paleosaurus. The Paleosaurus’s senses were telling him that this other monster was a threat to him. But with the rage building up from his cancerous pain, the Giant Behemoth wasn't going to back down, and would take his frustration out on this foe. The Paleosaurus let out an angry bellow, only for the King of the Monsters to bark in response and made his way towards the behemoth.
The Paleosaurus ran towards Godzilla and used his head to hit the Monster King in the chest. After Godzilla fell to the ground, the Paleosaurus stood upon his hind legs, ready to crush the monster king with his two heavyset forelimbs. Godzilla rolled away, just in time as the behemoth’s front legs crunched the ground instead. Godzilla’s tail promptly slapped the Paleosaurus across the face, eliciting a yelp from the dinosaur.
Godzilla got up and gripped the Paleosaurus by the neck. The Paleosaurus tried to shake his neck free, but the King of the Monsters opened his toothy maw and viciously dug into the Paleosaurus's neck. The Paleosaurus screeched as blood gushed out from the wound.
The Paleosaurus struggled, using his body to push against Godzilla. He rammed the monster king into a nearby building, forcing Godzilla to release his grip when his weight destroyed the building. Even though the Paleosaurus broke free, he was still feeling sharp pain in his neck from Godzilla’s bite. So the Giant Behemoth decided to return the favor by biting down on Godzilla's neck. Godzilla screeched as he used his dagger-like nails on his left claw to slash on the right side of the leviathan’s face. The Paleosaurus unhinged his jaws from Godzilla's neck and screamed in pain, blood pouring out from the cuts on his face.
Godzilla rose to his feet and pushed the long-necked dinosaur down to the ground. The Paleosaurus let out an angry roar, but Godzilla used his right foot to stomp away at the left side of the Behemoth. Next, Godzilla used the talons on his right foot to cut open the Paleosaurus's side, drawing blood.
The Paleosaurus let loose an agonizing shrill for all within hearing distance to hear. Promptly, the primitive mutant moved his head to Godzilla's left leg and bit into the limb, pulling Godzilla's leg and forcing the bipedal mutation lose his balance, falling backwards to the ground.
The Paleosaurus used this chance to get back on his fours, but Godzilla likewise was rising to his feet. The Paleosaurus swiftly went to sink his teeth into Godzilla's barky right shoulder, but the ancient deity grabbed the Paleosaurus's neck, trying to pry the Giant Behemoth off him. The Paleosaurus pulled, ripping out a huge portion of flesh from Godzilla's shoulder and freed himself from the monster king’s grip. Blood gushed out of Godzilla’s open wound as the Paleosaurus backed away and spat the chunk of flesh out of his mouth.
Godzilla let out an angry bellow as his dorsal fins ignited in fiery rage. The Paleosaurus was going to attack Godzilla again, not until the monster king opened wide and fired a stream of misty heat. The Paleosaurus screeched in scorching misery as the infamous Atomic Ray torched his face. The Paleosaurus backpedaled and got himself out of Godzilla’s firing range.
Godzilla ceased his fiery steam, allowing himself to cool down. The Paleosaurus took notice that the wounds he had inflicted on Godzilla were undergoing repair. The Giant Behemoth knew that he needed to kill Godzilla quickly before he became too tired to fight anymore.
Godzilla lumbered towards his enemy and proceeded to fire his white stream once more. The Paleosaurus shrieked as the Atomic Ray found itself torching his chest. The Giant Behemoth spun around and used his tail to strike Godzilla at the left side of his neck, knocking the monster king off his feet and forced him to stop firing his breath weapon.
With the legendary Godzilla down, the Paleosaurus began whipping his thin tail on the monster king’s charred scales. Before the Paleosaurus could land another hit, Godzilla turned over onto his back, and used his hands to grab the behemoth’s tail, pressing his claws into the aquatic beast’s skin and drew blood.
Even while echoing pained shrills, the Paleosaurus approached the downed monstrosity, rearing up on his hinds to prepare a lethal blow. He brought his two front legs down onto Godzilla's chest, with the King of the Monsters eliciting a horrific cry that rattled the souls of those who heard it as his ribs were shattered. The Paleosaurus repeated the same motion, this time causing the monster king to cough up blood.
The Paleosaurus could see Godzilla was badly hurt, but knew it was only a matter of time before his enemy would return to full strength. He had to end this now, and he knew just how to do it.
The Paleosaurus concentrated, focusing all his atomic energy to a fixed point. Unlike Godzilla’s atomic breath, the Paleosaurus’s weapon was vastly different. His Radioactive Waves could be unleashed from nearly any point of his body, with differing amounts of intensity. The waves could inflict radiation sickness if he released them throughout his entire body. But the more concentrated the attack was, the more explosive damage it could do. So when the Giant Behemoth craned his head towards the victim beneath his feet, he was more than ready to return the favor.
The Paleosaurus shot his Radioactive Waves, the atomic vibrations striking the downed Godzilla with a series of superheated concussive explosions. A guttural roar bellowed from Godzilla’s fallen form as he felt the full fury of his enemy. Although Godzilla was unaffected by the radioactive residue, the concentrated attack certainly hurt like hell. Every second he was exposed to the bombardment, the original Godzilla continually puked boiling blood from his mouth.
Unfortunately, all good things could only last for so long. Even though the Radioactive Waves were doing more than a fine job, there was one massive drawback; one that ironically stemmed from the nature of his weapon. The more he used this weapon, the faster the Paleosaurus’s radiation sickness accelerated. The large marine animal felt nauseous after prolonged use of his greatest weapon, vomiting his own blood as the Radioactive Waves died down. From nausea came dizziness, prompting the massive creature to collapse into a seizure beside his fallen foe.
Neither of them could move. Godzilla’s charred face and broken chest took significant time to adjust and heal; the Paleosaurus no longer had control over his bodily functions as his neck, body, and tail continued having spasms.
Time crawled. Had they remained in this unconscious state for mere seconds? Minutes? Hours? It was uncertain. The only real certainty was that of the two, the Paleosaurus was the first to return to his feet, but didn’t know what to do. His Radioactive Waves couldn't help him. He was weak and severely injured, while Godzilla was in the process of regenerating. There was always the chance he could crush him again, only for a sudden spurt of blood to answer that for him. He was dying, and there was no way he could delay the inevitable any longer. Only one thing to do.
He needed to run away.
It was against his pride, but given the shape he was in. He knew it was impossible to win like this; best to run and live to see another day. The Paleosaurus turned away from Godzilla and began to stumble his way to River Thames.
However, the King of the Monsters would not let him off the hook that easily. Even though he hadn’t fully healed, it was more than enough to deal with this fool. Rising to his feet, Godzilla’s dorsal plates ignited with white-hot rage. Misty steam torched the fumbling prehistoric creature, eliciting shrills from the dying dinosaur. The Paleosaurus couldn’t put up a fight anymore and collapsed onto his belly. Godzilla exhausted the radiation supply he had, cooking the poor creature alive. Perhaps it had not mattered in the end, but it was clear its choice led him to a painful death. But if it’s any consolation, he would find some kind of peace in death.
With the Paleosaurus now slain, Godzilla let out a victory roar for all of London to hear. Now that the battle was over, Godzilla could now enjoy his radioactive meal. During the fight, a group of survivors had witnessed the brutal battle between Godzilla and the Paleosaurus. They only watched in horror as Godzilla tore into the burnt Paleosaurus, devouring his cancer-ridden body and siphoning the radiation the corpse was letting out.
Hours went by before Godzilla was finished eating the Paleosaurus. All that remained were its bones. Godzilla felt rejuvenated after such a feast, with fresh new power coursing through his veins. Satisfied, Godzilla made his way back to River Thames and swam far away from England, returning to the deep of the Atlantic Ocean, ready to live another day with his new life as the absolute King of the Monsters.
