Land of Giants: End Times discussion thread

Post by Corzak The Mighty »

Earth. It had once been the kingdom of mankind. Since the end of the Stone Age, humanity had been the dominant force on this planet, an unstoppable tide that bent nature to its will. We were proud of our dominance, subjugating the natural order and perverting ut to suit our endless wants and needs.

But not anymore.

It's been 5 years since the Final War raged between the nations of mankind - since the bombs dropped. Much of Earth has been ravaged by war, with much of North America and East Asia left inhospitable from the fallout. The survivors have been forced into mega cities, country-spanning urban complexes, to pick up the scraps of civilization.

But then, they came. The monsters.

Born from our sins, awakened from primeval tombs, or called from the stars above - the result is the same. Giants, titans, monstrosities of unspeakable size and power have come to our world. No longer are we the apex species, the masters of Earth. They are.

We're just trying our best to survive in this Land of Giants.

Greetings everyone! I'm excited to introduce you all to a new RPG I've thought about - a kaiju RPG! This RPG is going to be story-driven, but I will leave the arcs, goals, and players in this story to you. I want to see what you guys come up with!

Every RPG has its rules, however, so let me establish a few of them.

1. All monsters must be at least somewhat original. No mothras and godzillas from specific eras, or king ghidorahs from the godzilla x evangelion ride or something.

You can, however, have modified versions of existing kaiju - if you want a lightning Godzilla expy or a space faring Mothra, go for it!

2. No maiming or killing of other player's monsters without their express consent. We're all here to have fun, and maiming dudes without warning other players is a huge no no.

3. Try to keep your monster sizes and weights reasonable. This also goes for human scale characters. If you think your guy might be too big or powerful, just ask for feedback. There is no hard size limit.

4. All monsters must have some sort of tangible weakness that can adversely effect them in a fight. This can be an element, an environmental condition, or even something goofy like that they get drunk easily.

5. When a fight breaks out between characters and monsters, there is no "strict" rules on how often attacks must land or how many attacks there must be - narrative flow trumps rules in this regard. But I strongly encourage players to make fights engaging and cooperative, allowing each player to land blows as would make sense narratively. Discussing this with your fellow roleplayers is key, so please use your best judgment qnd if you're unsure how well it'd sit with them, please ask first.

You don't have to, but i recommend players follow this template for making monsters and characters:

Name:
Height:
Weight:
Length (if applicable):
Wingspan (if applicable):
Appearance:
Personality:
Backstory:
Powers:
Weaknesses:
Equipment (if any):

And with that... let's begin!

Mokushi
Spoiler:
Name: Mokushi

Height: 100 meters

Weight: 90,000 tons

Gender: Male

Wingspan: Main wings-300 meters
Secondary wings-190 meters

Physical Description: Mokushi is, for a lack of a better term, beautiful, yet oddly so. His body is formed by gentle and sloping curves that makes it appear as though it was formed by wind. Mokushi is a dragon from the depths of space, and because of that, his entire being mimics his exotic home. Angular seams in his flesh glow warmly in a pale, milky blue coloration, and trace down to the very tips of his three, spiked tails. Mokushi's skin itself sparkles and twinkles as if miniature stars were stuck to him, allowing for an iridescence that can be seen even when there isn't a ton of visible light around. The veins in his four, leathery wings radiate with an intense, purple glow, and leave a trail of energy in their wake as Mokushi flies through the air. In fact, his entire body does, for that matter. To the human eye, Mokushi takes the appearance of a comet, cascading across the sky. Four heads, each with three eyes on both sides of their cranium, dominate the front of this exotic dragon's large body. Twin horns of different shapes and sizes, adorn the tops of each head, with a distinctive bumpy ridge sitting on the snout of the central head. Razor sharp teeth line glowing red maws, said maws having the ability to split in half at the lower jaw, and a three pronged tongue allows Mokushi to fully enjoy whatever unfortunate prey item he is feasting on.

Four, muscular, and clawed legs jut out from Mokushi's underside, allowing him to pounce and chase down prey like an over sized big cat. Razor sharp, glowing white talons rip, tear, and disembowel any who dare pick a fight with this predatory dragon. Four additional, three fingered talons adorn the tips of each of Mokushi's expansive wings. In the center of his chest, lies a distinctive, triangular, and blue crystal of unexplained origin.

Emergence: As stated, Mokushi was born within the cold depths of space, but it is unknown where nor when his inception was, exactly.

Personality: Mokushi wants nothing more in his mysterious and bizarre life, than to destroy anything and everything that he comes into contact with. His entire existence is based on the annihilation of different civilizations on different worlds, so that he may then go on to slowly drain the life force from said planet. Mokushi is also dangerously intelligent, and has on numerous occasions, shown signs of both sadism, and deeper thinking than the average kaiju.

Powers/Abilities:

Nova rays- Mokushi is able to unleash up to three, multi colored streams of radioactive, and burning hot energy from his split maws. These beams are hotter than the surface of the sun, and can turn cities in seas of flame within a matter of minutes. The biggest drawback, however, is that the Nova rays eat up a significant amount of energy, and can only be used in short bursts at a time.

Gamma Radiation- Because of Mokushi's space origin, he is incredibly radioactive, with the toxic energy practically seeping off of him at all times.

Shining Neutron Wave- That triangular crystal that is embedded into Mokushi's chest isn't just there for decoration; it can be used as a devastating torrent of destruction. Said attack can, if charged up enough, erase large portions of an area at one time, essentially glassing it, and even tear through an entire planet. The drawback to this is, is that a Shining Neutron wave takes up to three hours to fully charge, and Mokushi is rendered immobile during the process. It also completely drains the dragon of his energy, and makes him completely vulnerable for 24 hours. This is only when and if Mokushi decides to use it within the atmosphere of a planet; in the depths of space, Mokushi has significantly more energy to expel and can utilize a Shining Neutron wave to its fullest capacity without worry.

Supersonic speed
- For quicker traversal, Mokushi can expel some of his energy stores and reach supersonic speeds. He is relegated to traveling at said velocity once he is within a planet's domain, but inside the vacuum of space, Mokushi can travel even faster.

EMP Burst
- Mokushi is able to release powerful EMP waves that are large enough to shut down an entire city, and fry the whole grid.

Solar Flares
- Using stored energy from a system's star, Mokushi can unleash enormous solar flares from his great wings. They reach temperatures that are hot enough to envelop several city blocks in walls of fire, and melt solid concrete.

Psychic Control
- Mokushi is able to take control of the minds of weak minded beings, and use them for his own twisted motives.

Weaknesses: Cold - Mokushi is extremely vulnerable to freezing temperatures, and can freeze to death within three hours if he is exposed to such for long enough. As also stated earlier, Mokushi's attacks use up a ton of energy, and the process of him regaining said energy back can take anywhere from three, to twenty four hours.

Backstory: In the late 1860s, Mokushi set his ravenous sights on Earth as his next conquest. However, on the way to the little blue marble, an unknown event rendered Mokushi completely immobile, and essentially shut his entire body down. As such, the dragon crash landed deep into the wilderness in D.C. , where he remains to this day. The world's governments formed a secret, underground agency that studies his movements 24/7, and uses the opportunity to study and gain knowledge on the endless expanse of space, while Mokushi is dormant. However, recent energy readings have shown a large spike in the dragon's energy levels, and the leading world figures believe that it is only a matter of time before Mokushi rises again.
Hanjiru
Spoiler:
Name: Hanjiru
Height: 80 meters
Weight: 60,000 tons
Gender: Female
Wingspan:160 meters

Physical Description: Another specimen from space, like her distant cousin, Mokushi, Hanjiru basically takes the same overall shape of the former, and adds sharp and abrupt angles to it. With skin made from diamond and ice, Hanjiru glistens and sparkles elegantly in the sunlight. Only one, long and slender head dominates the front of her, with two, glowing yellow eyes. Two, rocky wings envelop Hanjiru's flanks, and two clubbed tails hang from her backside. Three, ruby red, and crystalline horns stretch into the shape of a crest atop the dragon's cranium. Hanjiru's rock hard flesh is also semi-transparent, allowing for one to see the complex inner workings of her iridescent nervous system. Two, muscular and clawed legs stretch out on both of Hanjiru's sides, and four-fingered claws on the tips of her wings allow her to walk on all fours.

Personality: Unlike the sadistic, power hungry, and chaotic Mokushi, Hanjiru is a calm and peaceful giant. She wants nothing more than to bring about prosperity and tranquility on every world she visits. Hanjiru is a healing monster, rather than a destructive one. Her intelligence is also quite impressive, able to understand human language to an extent, and learn the different cultures of societies.

Powers/Abilities: Tranquil harmony- Hanjiru is able to unleash an emerald green wave of energy from her maw, and the flaps of her wings, that heals the land around her. While a rather slow process, taking up to 48 hours to fully take effect, said ability essentially restores whatever vegetation or land mass that has been destroyed, to its normal state.

Frigid Storm: Hanjiru can freeze enemies with built up energy from her body, to temperatures reaching two degrees below absolute zero. Said ability is dangerous to use however, as it makes Hanjiru vulnerable to the slightest increase in heat, and drains her body to extremely low levels.

Weaknesses: Hanjiru can't be out in sunlight for more than two hours, less she wants to melt. In fact, any large amounts of heat in a short time can overheat Hanjiru's body, and take her to the brink of death. Hanjiru is also quite a delicate kaiju, physically as well; she can't take too much physical abuse from another kaiju, or she'll shatter to pieces.

Backstory: Arriving on Earth shortly after Mokushi, Hanjiru came to the rocky planet in order to defend it from his inevitable reign of destruction. However, Hanjiru re-entered Earth's atmosphere too quickly, and as such, overheated her body. Luckily, she had enough energy to keep her body sufficiently cool in order to safely crash land at the bottom of a massive glacier. After almost two decades past,
Hanjiru gained enough energy back from the force of her crash to escape from her icy tomb.

Today, Hanjiru has made a home on the outskirts of Antarctica, due to the harsh temperatures. She only ever travels away from her home to secretly keep Earth same from whatever kaiju that knocks on its door. However, the looming threat of the space devil, Mokushi always remains on Hanjiru's mind. She cannot, and will not allow for another world to be taken by the king of chaos.
Ryōmen no Hebi
Spoiler:
Name: Ryōmen no Hebi
Length: 530 feet from tip to tip
Weight: 80,000 tons
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ryōmen no Hebi is, as his name applies, a double sided serpent, only there is more to him than that. One side of this great serpent is the head and forepaws of a white tiger, only said tiger has the piercing yellow eyes of a reptilian, and two separate heads, one of which has the teeth of a constrictor. The other side of Ryōmen is that of a red, spotted King Cobra, of which has a jaw that splits apart in four ways, revealing a second set of crocodilian-like jaws. The cobra's hood is serrated by thorny protrusions, and its eyes are that of a tiger's, only orange. The body of this serpent is a mixture of burgundy reds, pale whites, and a lava orange stripe that separates both ends.
Personality: Ryōmen no Hebi is both an opportunist, and excellent hunter. His diet normally consists of smaller Kaiju, blue whales, and people, but this is extremely rare. He is also an adept fighter, using both ends to their individual strengths, and a lot of times working together towards a common goal. Make no mistake, both ends of Ryōmen have their own brain, and with that comes different motivations, emotions, and personalities that will a lot of times clash.
Powers/Abilities: Neurotoxic and hemotoxic venom- Both the Tiger and Cobra ends of Ryōmen possess venom, and of both kinds as well. Said concoction is extremely toxic, able to take down a healthy blue whale in a matter of five minutes, and Kaiju on an average of two hours, depending on the size. Said venomous combination can also melt flesh.
Lightning- Ryōmen's cobra head can split apart, and shoot a stream of lightning from its inner crocodile mouth, of which is hotter than the lightning in the sky above. He can also deliver an electric bite by conducting the built up electricity.
Excellent digger- Ryōmen is excellent at burrowing underground, using the forepaws of the tiger to dig through solid land, and pulverize what rocks are in his way.
Adept swimmer- Ryōmen can cross bodies of water in record times, and is able to hold his breath for more than five hours at a time.
Gaseous Spark- Using the two heads of the tiger end, Ryōmen can emit a cloud of toxic gas, that can then be ignited into a wave of fire. One tiger head will breathe the choking gas, while the other then sets it ablaze from coughing forth a large spark.
Constriction- On occasion, Ryōmen will choke the life out of his prey by constricting it, while the respective heads each proceed to tear the unfortunate prey item apart.
Weakness: Ryōmen's eyesight is is rather poor on both... Ends. Despite having the genetic makeup of two animals who, separately, have incredible vision, something within the snake must have gotten tangled and mixed together in an odd manner... Leading to Ryōmen relying more on his incredible senses of smell and taste, than purely his eyes.
Backstory: Ryōmen was first seen emerging from an underwater volcano system in the Atlantic, where he soon came ashore upon a small island a few miles nearby. There, the great serpent slept for seven days to build his energy stores. While Ryōmen was slumbering, a group of villagers that were native to the island came across his body. Word soon spread of Ryōmen's presence, and because he bared a slight resemblance to the native people's two headed serpent god, they soon went on to worship Ryōmen as their living god. After the massive kaiju finally awoke, he was understandably curious about the tiny beings, but he didn't devour them. Now, every new year, Ryōmen will return to the small island and allow for the natives to worship like the god that he is.

Emperor Jettro:
Spoiler:
Name: Jettro Severus (The Holy Knight Emperor)
Height:10ft
Weight: 1,000 lbs
Age: 54 years old
Appearance: The imposing, draconian ruler of the Holy Knights, the Holy Emperor Jettro towers above all of his contemporaries. He wears flush purple robes and garments of the finest silk and fur, and a golden wreath adorns his head. His hair is short and grey, and his eyes a murky brown. Across his arms are scars and wounds from days long past. His body is a temple of strength, muscular and toned...
Personality: Jettro is a calculating, brash, and pompous individual who craves power for himself first and foremost. He loves to rule over people, and to ensure they know the true meaning of power. Everything that isn't himself is a tool to be exploited, or for his own amusement. He keeps his plans and interests close to his heart, rarely revealing what he's truly after until it's too late.
Backstory: From the ashes of World War 3, a kingdom emerged from the ruins of Europe: The Holy Knights. Its leader is the middle aged Jettro, who claims to have carved a name for himself through blood and war, usurping those who had been in power to become the one in power. He claims to be the peak of humanity, the greatest a human can possibly be. His rise and the rise of the Holy Knight Empire has been swift and nearly instantaneous, as if they had simply wandered in from the aether and settled in...
Powers:
-World's Strongest Man: Jettro, either because of his Holy Knight training or from some other dark means, has strength unequaled even for his size. He can grab and throw things eight times his weight with little effort, and rip metal apart with his bare hands. There are few, if any, as strong as him.
-Tough Skin: The muscles beneath Jettro's skin are not just there for strength, but defense as well. Knives bounce off and shatter , if he even lets them connect...
-Piloting skills: As the pilot of the Grandeus, Jettro operates the most powerful Enforcer ever built, a monolith of a machine as mighty as he is, and fitting for a ruler. He knows how other pilots think, and can easily spot a mecha's weakpoints just from observing it...
Weaknesses: Despite all of his prowess and grandeur, Jettro is still human. While he can dominate any ordinary man in a fight and even tear human sized creatures up to the size of a hippo or small elephant apart, he has no means of protecting himself from truly monstrous entities or from high caliber bullets from a range.
Prateria:
Spoiler:
Name: Prateria
Height: 7ft 5
Weight: 310 lbs
Age: 28
Appearance: "The Fairest in all the land, the most elegant and beautiful Lady Prateria" is what she is known and feared by many. She is a tall, elegant woman with deathly pale white skin and raven hair that reaches down to her waist. Her eyes are a deep crimson, and her nails, over two inches in length, are colored the same. Her preferred attire is a sleeveless red and green shirt and short skirt. With her carries the scent of strawberries, as it is the scent of the perfume and deodorant she exclusively uses, as otherwise, her body odor is both overwhelming and repugnant, a side effect from her scarce showers.
Personality: The primary things aside from size that passed from father to daughter were cruelty and craftiness. Prateria is devilishly smart, but she likes to hide it behind a more welcoming, gentle air than her old man. She seems like a sweet, honest, yet naive woman to be around, but the truth is that of a depraved sociopath who understands the concept of what's right and wrong intellectually, but not emotionally. She has friends, but only those she views are of greatest possible gain for her, and she's quick to dispose of them if either they wrong her in some way, like forgetting to attend her birthday, or on her father's orders. Ultimately, what Jettro commands of her, she does, for his word is law.
Backstory: The sole child of the Emperor, Prateria is the face of the building Holy Knight Empire, a prodigious pilot of her Enforcer, and has carved her name in infamy. She stands as the second greatest Enforcer pilot within the Empire, second only to her father, and has crushed, slandered, and murdered anyone who has dared to challenge her or her father's rule. If the ordinary folks live in fear of the pilots, then the pilots as well live in fear of Prateria.

Powers:
-World's Greatest Mind: Behind the warm, gentle facade is the mind of a monster, a monster with a photographic memory. Prateria can remember even the smallest of details when needed, and not only recite them, but apply them in the proper situations.
-Fit physique: Similar to her unknown rival Chalodna, Prateria is at the limit of ordinary human capabilities in terms of strength, speed, and endurance. Many suspect this is from whatever harsh regiment Jettro has put her through, or perhaps from genetic modification he and his scientists have at their disposal.
-Master of Disguise: Prateria's greatest attribute, aside from her piloting skills, is her ability to change into almost anyone she wants to. With the proper clothing attire, forcibly altering her voice, and masking her signature scent as best she can and with a proper latex mask, she can change her appearance and even height to become almost unrecognizable. This makes her exceptionally deadly if she wants to be.

Weakness: Those with a strong sense of smell can pick up the powerful odor of strawberries even though Prateria's best disguises, foiling her plans. Likewise, she's highly allergic to the chitin that makes up an arthropod's exoskeleton, and caffine has an intoxicating effect on her.
Ziko:
Spoiler:
Name: Ziko Viel
Height: 5ft 3
Weight: 110 lbs
Age: 81
Appearance: Ziko is a man who age has not been kind to. His head is balding with greyed thin hair, and he is a shriveled husk of a man at first glance who supports himself with a simple wooden cane. His eyes tell a different story, as they are sharp and focused despite his advanced years, and emerald in hue. He dresses in a black robe, and the few teeth left in his mouth are rotted and blackened.
Personality: Ziko might appear to be a helpless old man who is only good at giving advice to those younger than him and leading the next generation, in truth he is a selfish cold hearted man who cares only to gain more power and influence. He is a master of half truths and technicalities, twisting his words and those of others to hide his true meanings to manipulate others into doing what he wants. He holds little tolerance for Jettro or his daughter or for many who currently rule the Holy Knights, for he wishes to take their place.
Backstory: The Holy Knights are no strangers to slavery. The people of Europe who had been displaced and ruined by World War 3 were among those the Holy Knights swept up into their ranks as slaves, some for tending to land, others to tend for their Enforcers, and other still for pleasure and fun. Ziko was once a pilot, but age has been his enemy, and so now he resides as the head of the Slave Registry for the Holy Knights, branding and warping each and every new slave obtained into a perfect working machine.
Powers:
~Fungi Friends: Ziko harvests a special kind of fungi called the Cordyceps, which ordinarily hijack the brains of insects for breeding. Ziko however has found a way to manipulate this fungi to instead take control over human bodies, stripping control away from the mind and forcing them to do as he wishes. This is how he ensures that those who are slaves of the Holy Knights remain firmly under their control, though prolonged exposure to heat can kill off the fungi within someone's body.
Weaknesses: Age has robbed Ziko of his strength, and aside from his superior intellect and power over Cordyceps controlled slaves, he is helpless against anyone who can properly fight.

Wulvar
Spoiler:
Image
(Idk why picture is smol. Right-click it and open it in a new tab lol)

Name: Wulvar ("WOOL-varr")
Alias: Wulvar the Warrior

Height: 70 meters at the shoulder
Weight: 150,000 tons

Description: Wulvar is a ferocious, wolverine-like Beast of vicious claws and fangs. Although he is unusually short for a Beast, he is every bit as powerful and durable as his larger brethren.

Personality: Wulvar embodies the warrior’s spirit; fierce, fearless, and unrelenting no matter the foe. He is smart on top of being strong, easily making up for his smaller size with his disproportionate strength and quick thinking. Wulvar is a creature that should never be underestimated in any way.

Powers and Abilities:
- Disproportionate Strength: While Wulvar himself is small, his strength is enormous. He can easily wrestle and throw foes much bigger than himself, savagely pummeling them with heavy, powerful paws and muscling them into submission with brutal strength that completely belies his stature.
- Wily Wulvar: Wulvar's wits are as quick as his feet, enabling him to outwit his enemies and avoid their attacks.
- Tooth and Claw: Wulvar’s jaws are extremely powerful, handily capable of shattering bone into dust; it is also extremely difficult to pry him off once latched onto a foe. Minerals from the materials he consumes are used to fortify his fangs, claws and bones; a metallic coating that increases the durability of his bones and the sharpness of his claws. The metallic sheen of his claws trails through the air as he slices his foes into ribbons, the glittering gleam of his claws emitting off a faint metallic ringing like the echoes of swinging swords on the battlefield. His foes’ suffering does not end because his attack does - small, sharp shards of his metallic coating are shed into the wounds with every swipe, further shredding the flesh with every movement and disrupting the healing of the wound. Because they shed like so when attacking, he will have to reapply the coating by ingesting minerals.
- Furry Lead Weight: Wulvar is very dense and durable, allowing him to completely shrug off damage that should utterly destroy him. His furry flesh is hard to pierce, and his bones even harder to break.
- Thick-Skulled: Wulvar's bones are extremely durable in general, but his skull is especially so, enabling him to headbutt opponents with tremendous force without suffering any ill effects himself.
- Warrior Spirit: Perhaps harder to break than Wulvar’s body is his spirit. It is impossible to break, be it by mind control or by increasingly difficult odds of victory. He fights bravely no matter how badly injured he may become; he is truly an unyielding fighter. Empowered by the adrenaline of fierce combat, he can keep fighting tirelessly, long outlasting exhausted foes.
- Glutton: Beasts do not require food, but they may occasionally consume it to temporarily increase their power. Wulvar, for himself, is capable of digesting a great many things; most notably, his body benefits from ingesting minerals from the earth. His stomach acid is perfectly fitted for this habit, capable of rapidly dissolving solid rock and metal. He can spit back whatever he swallows at high speeds - firing back acid-covered objects represents his only form of ranged attack.
- Bacterial Bite: A cultivation of bacteria lives in symbiosis with Wulvar; chiefly found within his saliva, he allows them to eat off scraps of food in return for providing him with a deadly, bacterial bite. His bite not only flays flesh and breaks bones, but also spreads a virus disrupting his foes' nervous system. The effects include confusion, anxiety, and a sense of weakness in the muscles, and with repeated exposure come vicious, painful muscle spasms and partial paralysis of the affected areas. The affliction subsides within a few hours, but more serious infections can last days.
- Pounce: To the dismay of flying opponents, Wulvar is capable of pouncing quite high to catch them.
- Insulation: Wulvar is immune to the cold, and his fur insulates him against flames.

Weaknesses:
- Though it is mostly mitigated by his inherent toughness, Wulvar’s shorter size makes him vulnerable to being kicked and tossed around by larger foes.
- Wulvar stubbornly keeps fighting even after suffering severe injuries, when it would be wiser to retreat - he simply cannot give up.

Cetanus
Spoiler:
Name: Cetanus
Height: 84 meters when fully reared
Weight: 437,203 tonnes
Length: 419 meters

Appearance : The ancient sea creature known as Cetanus resembles a cross between cetacean and saurian. In his native element, the ocean, the beast can easily be mistaken for a great serpent or whale, a vast, undulating form with flippers and a fluked tail, but his true form become more clear on land; while tremendously long, he is no sea serpent, possessing four distinct limbs. He does not have true flippers, but gangly arms webbed to the elbows and tipped by a trio of spur-like claws. His legs are comparatively tiny, just able to bear his weight, so it is actually his tail, over three-quarters of his length and almost a third of his total weight, that holds him upright above the waves. The sea monster’s long, bulky neck leads seamlessly into a stout, rounded head with pale, unseeing eyes and blunt, peg-like teeth. It is this distinct cranial structure, as well as the presence of a blowhole on his brow and a small, curved dorsal fin between his hips, that reveals his true nature; despite all this blustering of godhood and dragon blood, Cetanus is essentially an ancient, highly deprived form of dolphin. The cetaceaus titan is a mottled blue-gray across his crown and back, and a less blemished, slightly pinkish gray along his chin and belly. His skin, smoothy and rubbery rather than pebbly or scaled, is covered by faint scars from countless past battles.

Personality : Cetanus is a vain, vicious creature, and he believes that Earth’s oceans, and thereby the whole of the planet, are rightfully his. Those who believe otherwise are subject to his wrath, especially if they disrespect him in expressing it. While this means he is menace to those in or near the sea who do not pamper to his whims, it also means he is firmly among the planet’s defenders. He will not allow Earth to be overtaken or harmed because it is already his. Despite his violence and egotism, Cetanus is not heartless. Though wrapped in anger and pride, there is a cavity in the sea beast’s being, a loneliness that stems from an eon’s long solitude. If another creature was to worm its way into the giant’s heart, through circumstance or sheer stubbornness, it would be protected fiercely, with all the ocean’s might and dragon wrath Cetanus can muster. Not that he would ever admit to as much.

Backstory : If Cetanus is to be believed, he originates not just before the Final War, but before humanity itself. According to his sprawling, self-aggrandizing tales, there were once many creatures like him, dragons and serpents that ruled the seas as humans once ruled the land, and he is now the last, his race a victim of the ages.

Powers
- Cetanus has a form of limited telepathy that allows him to quickly decipher and learn languages. As such, he can freely communicate with any culture that has a spoken language or languages.
- Cetanus is the master of water. Not only can he move surprisingly quickly through it, roaring through the seas at a peak of 185 mile per hour, he can control it with but a thought. The sea beast is hydrokinetic, able to manipulate water remotely. He can move enough water to create tidal waves and devastate coastal areas, but also exert fine enough control to form blades and other specific shapes. Not only that, but all forms of water fall under his power, as he can both freeze it into ice or heat it into steam. In a sense, even the atmosphere is his realm.
- Though Cetanus is most at home underwater, rising above the waves gives him a chance to show off his impressive strength. Most obviously, his tail is the world’s biggest bludgeon, able to sweep in huge arcs and strike foes with the might of a warhead. His long, fluke-like forelimbs are formidable weapons as well. With a strong grip and a natural counterweight in his tail, Cetanus excels as a grappler.
- Although blind or near blind, his pale eyes long dead, Cetanus is hardly slowed. His other senses are numerous and keen. He has excellent hearing, especially underwater, where almost no loud sound can escape his notice, even on a global scale. He can also sense changes in both air and water pressure due to a series of gel-filed pits in his muzzle. Finally, and perhaps most impressively, he can ‘see’ the electricity in both earthy organisms and machinery. Functionally, he is fully sighted against anything with a nervous system or electrical circuits.
- Cetanus, for all his vain boasting, has an undeniable strength of will. The sea monster does not know surrender and can fight through even severe injury. He is also highly resistant, though hardly immune, to mental attacks.

Weaknesses
- Cetanus is powerful both under and above the waves, but his speed lies only underwater. On land, he is slow and lumbering, and particularly struggles with rapid turns due to his monstrous tail.
- While precise, Cetanus’s senses have a blind spot; his ability to sense air pressure changes is not nearly as strong as his power to detect changes in water pressure. A creature with both great stealth and the power of flight would prove difficult for him to anticipate.
- Though arguably his greatest strength, Cetanus’s stubborn pride is also a major weakness. He is easily goaded into unfavorable conditions.
Igfinis
Spoiler:
Name: Igfinis
Weight: 15,813 tonnes
Length: 306 meters
Wingspan: 321 meters

Appearance : A visitor from the stars, Igfinis, at first glance, resembles a flying serpent, not unlike those featured in the myths of many ancient cultures, but the truth of the creature is far stranger. Upon closer inspection, it is not a tetrapod like the animals that slither or fly on Earth, but is hexapodal, possessing six limbs. Two are highly reduced, forming, respectively, an expressively frill around its head and a set of fish-like fins that mark the last half or so of its body. The third pair of limbs, while also great modified, are not reduced. If anything, they are enlarged, forming a huge pair of wings or sails about a quarter of the way down its body. Its wings most closely resemble those of bats, but the digits that support it are flexile and blade-like instead of jointed, and its membranes are usually thick. They are heavy, almost club-like wings. The alien’s head is perhaps where it is most unusual; rather than being composed of a skull and mandible, it is actually made up of three beak-like segments, each heavily ossified and possessing three simple eyes protected in deep sockets. Igfinis cannot fully open its odd jaws, as they are joined together by flexible connective tissue. The best it can manage is a quick, gasp-like action. The visitor’s body is covered by large, diamond-shaped scales of beautiful iridescent green, and ivory, hair-like filaments sprout from its neck and tail, forming a pale mane and tuft.

Personality : Though not native to Earth, Igfinis defends it fiercely, as his nature is that of a protector. The benevolent visitor holds life- all life, big and small- in high esteem, and will only snuff it out when a creature has proved to be beyond all honor. The alien is cool-headed normally, calm and silently supportive of its allies, but grow hot-blooded in battle, thrashing wildly and violently beating against his foes. This fiery temper can also come out when it is disrespected. While supremely good-natured, Igfinis is used to be treated very well, often worshiped as a god or guardian spirit, and this has nurtured a somewhat sensitive ego in the creature. When viciously insulted or cruelly disfigured- as it seems taken with its own appearance- it will lash out in hatred, potentially forgetting its kindness in rage.

Backstory : Though Igfinis arrived to Earth after the Final War, it, or at least another member of its species, may have visited the planet before, as its existence is quite close to those of mythological figures such as Quetzalcoatl and the Rainbow Serpent.

Powers
- Igfinis is a flighted creature, but its manner of flying is wildly different than any creature on Earth; it is instead closer to the way solid state planes take flight. Its biology is so distant from ours that might better be described as biomechanical or even bioelectric. Instead of organs, its chest cavity is inhabited by a miniature star that maintains a strong electric field and permanent zone of ionized air. The ions moving through this energized area collide with air molecules and create airflow that can be directed back out by a series of siphons under its sails, generating lift on command. In Earth’s atmosphere, this ‘electric wind’ can carry Igfinis close to Mach 3.5 or be directed outwards to whip up storms equal to or greater than a Category 5 hurricane. In space, it is propelled by the discharge of ions themselves, moving at a much slower speed of just over thirty miles per hour. This is why Igfinis has such an odd skull structure. Its gasping respiration quickly introduce to and accelerate air in its chest cavity. At high enough speeds, its jaws are forced open, essentially turning the creature into a living wind sock.
- Igfinis has no muscles or tendons. Instead, its body is operated by a series of expanding and contracting tubes filled with superheated gas, actually quite similar to the pressurized liquids in hydraulic devices. This system is simple, but robust, so the visitor from space is supremely hardy. It has no blood to spill or organs to damage, so it can be severely brutalized without a significant decrease in performance. Igfinis has no qualms about throwing his body against enemies. They are more likely to be harmed than he he is. This biomechanical structure also leaves the alien without need of food or water. All of its needs are met by the output of its star-like core.

Weaknesses
- Igfinis’s star-like heart is highly resistant to physical trauma, but extreme lows in temperature can lower or even stop its activity, hindering the serpent.
- Worship as a god has spoiled Igfinis, making him temperamental to attacks on its dignity. With the proper taunting, the visitor can forget himself and go into an uncontrollable range, potentially doing more damage than he prevents.
Quaker
Spoiler:
Name: Quaker
Height: 98 meters when standing upright
Weight: 227,545 tonnes
Length: 196 meters

Appearance : The Quaker is a gargantuan, mutant star-nosed mole. She has completely lost her eyes, and her nasal star has mutated into a bundle of trunk-like tentacles that can search for and deliver food- usually thrashing herd animals- straight to her constantly gnashing jaws. Quaker’s hindlimbs have changed to be almost as powerful as her huge, burrowing forelimbs, allowing her to shovel away earth and rock just as swiftly as she can push it past her. Though she has no real reason to move aboveground, as home in the bowels of the planet as a fish is in the sea, she is just as capable of moving on all fours as on just two legs, partially due to a longer, heavier tail covered in long, wispy, whisker-like patches of hair. This unevenly tufted tail is about of the abominable mole’s length. The Quaker’s thin fur is a deep, velvety brown with broad blotches of inky black across her spine, and the naked skin of her snout, around her claws, and around her tail are a leathery tan. Her nasal tendrils are pinker and softer than the rest of her skin, especially on the tips.

Personality : The Quaker is, despite her massive size and vast potential for destruction, essentially just an animal. She is fundamentally concerned with feeding herself and preserving her life, and cares for little else. This means she is something of a wildcard of the stage of the world after the Final War. To those small creatures she conceptualizes as food, she is a menace. Other giants can, to her nonexistent eyes, be either rivals, competitors that must be eliminated for her long-term survival, or predators, a living threat to her life, and those identifications can swap on the fly. Quaker is a reactive creature, a stimulus-response machine, and may fall on any side of a battle or even avoid combat entirely.

Backstory : The Quaker is one of the many North American mutants that arose in the fallout of the Final War. She has a much larger range than most, however, as she can move freely across the Atlantic and thus has access to essentially the entire globe.

Powers
- In addition to possessing powerful burrowing paws, the Quaker can use rapid sonic vibrations to liquify the soil immediately round her. Between these two factors, she can essentially swim through the earth, burrowing around fourteen miles per hour in most soil types. While she is quicker on both land and in water, actually quite a competent swimmer, nothing can match her underground, so that is her preferred habitat.
- While completely sightless, the Quaker has such precise senses that she wouldn’t benefit from the addition of eyes. Her tentacled nose can detect and decipher even very complex smells or textures in a fraction of a second, and her hearing is so precise that even the movement of air above her is not lost on her. The whiskers on her snout and tail also help her detect the movement of fluids. It is difficult, perhaps impossible, to sneak up on the earth swimmer. Quaker’s senses are equally as useful underwater, and she can sometimes be found tracking pods of dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean.
- The Quaker’s mighty voice is primarily used to aid in her earth swimming, but it can also be weaponized against her enemies. She can unleash a scream that pains any nearby hearing creature, potentially causing temporary deafness, focus her sound waves into a drill or spear that can be hurled into her enemies, and anything between.
- Thanks to her mutant nature, the Quaker heals unusually fast, able to shrug off minor wounds in minutes and even potentially fatal injures in a few days.

Weaknesses
- The Quaker is built to accurate receive sensory information, not endure attack. She does not have the armored skin or hardy body of many other giants, far easier to injure, even for particularly powerful conventional weapons.
- Quaker’s senses are supreme, but also exploitable. Tremendously loud sounds or pungent odors can overwhelm her, sending her into a writhing frenzy.
... yeah, I'm a little late, okay? IM SORRY
