What are your thoughts on the first form of Rodan from Godzilla Singular Point

This version of Rodan is to the character as GINO is to Godzilla. Making him resemble a generic Pterosaur ruins it for me IMHO. Goes to show that Rodan is a difficult character to redesign, even more so than Godzilla arguably.

So far, it's my least favorite incarnation of the character.
However, I am very intrigued by the mysterious context behind the Black Rodan/"Rodan Ultima" in Episode 10. I wanna know more about that guy, and I hope we see it again in Season 2—and I hope he gets a chance to really shine and kick some serious ass.
