Yeah this. People say they want a sequel of Shin Godzilla but trust me, you don't. He's turning into John Carpenter's The Thing. At that point you can't even call him Godzilla anymore, he's dead. Not in the literal sense but in the meta sense of it just stops being what makes Godzilla who he is.
This exactly. A sequel would either explore the 5th form or it would find some way to keep the 4th form intact and now they need to explain why the hyper evolution monster cant evolve anymore.
Mothra vs Godzilla> Gojira

It would for all intents and purposes become a new character all together. Shin already divided the fanbase, for a lot of fans it was too different and stopped being Godzilla already.

Doesn't it say somewhere that if he wasn't frozen, he would make an energy generator inside him (thus rendering the mouth useless for eating always was), take over the planet and go for others? It would look like Biollante with shut mouth or Hedorah at best.

Plot twist: one of Planetary Godzilla's spores end up in Shin Ultraman universe :D

What are the chances that Shin Ultraman is showcased in this year's TsubarayaCon?

Is Japan even having conventions considering the ongoing global pandemic?
I unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and without a doubt hate Godzilla vs Kong.

If I remember correctly, lockdown's been over for a while.

Lockdowns being over is not the same as not doing big events. There's still guidelines in many places on how many people can be in a store or theater at a time, or the space between people at concerts. A convention might be hard to pull off.

Even then, there's always the chance of a digital convention.

True. But it could be cancelled too. I'd take a wait and see approach about it.

There was never in a lockdown in the traditional sense of the word.

Everything is pretty normal here, but large scale events, like conventions aren’t happening, which makes sense. A lot of this is also voluntary, the government actually can’t really enforce the rules, but unlike America people are pretty good at obeying to public health issues.

The Ultraman Taiga movie came out in theaters here, and I saw it. I have a feeling that there will be little impact on the Shin Ultraman movie especially if it’s released next fall.

If they keep it based on strictly the original show, i feel like we could just have Bemular and no one else. If they decide to mix and match things from the original show however, we could have more than one. Who knows?

Took keep Ultraman discussions localized.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

They are only listed as Kaiju A and Kaiju B, like Form 2 and 3 for Shin were before the movie was released.
