A Cthulhu film

Post by LegendZilla »

Hi guys, LegendZilla here back from another day at work. Since Toho has made kaiju films about the Frankenstein's monster, a public domain character and Kong who is set to be full PD in 2029, that has got me pondering... Why not add another popular free-to-use monstrous entity into their catalogue of kaiju? In 2024, HP Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu will see the expiration of its copyright, so why not have Toho take advantage of it? Should Toho make their own rendition of Cthulhu? If you think it's a good idea, how would you do it? Perhaps one day they could even have Godzilla face off against him.

Feedback will be much appreciated as always. This is LegendZilla signing out. ;)

Moving forward please use this thread for your ideas:

Nothing against you, and this applies to everyone, but many of these threads are starting to seriously clog up the forums with endless what-ifs.
