The climax of Godzilla vs Gigan is interrupted by some unwanted guests. The Showa crew has the better hand to hand skills by far and are going to be battering G2000 and Orga around, but it's the beams that I feel are the deciding factor here. Orga's beam packs a lot of kinetic force and is going to be sending whoever it hits flying, while G2000's is extremely explosive and is going to blast gouges out of whoever is unlucky enough to get targeted. Add in the UFO with its own beam as backup, and I find myself leaning Team G2000 here.

G2K's beam is deadly, yes, but Showa can definitely take it. Even by this point in the Showa Era, he was able to regenerate from Hedorah disintegrating his hand to the bone.

Team Godzilla 2000 has too much fire power. Once they spam their beams, and two of them like to spam.

No one on team Showa can handle G2000’s beam well, Gigan and Anguirus would just die while Godzilla and Ghidorah would be gravely injured. However, G2000 would get demolished in melee by pretty much any of his foes here, as would Orga. But, their regen would make actually beating them nigh-impossible and take way too long for the Millennium duo to not be able to counter melee and take the win. The presence of the UFO aids this, it should be able to survive any beams that come its way well enough to help out and ensure Showa Godzilla can’t just whale on G2000 until he’s unconscious.

Ghidorah isn't beating anyone in melee combat and Showa Godzilla by 72 didn't seem that much better than G2K.
