Verdict:
King Kong is in for a rough fight since Ebirah will try to keep him in the water. Not being able to adapt to the fight the way Godzilla can, Kong could likely perish. If he can keep him out of the water long enough or at least stay where he still has footing, he should be able to hold his own better. How likely it'll stay that way, however, is rather debatable since we're already at Ebirah's home turf. I think it's more likely for Ebirah to win.

Yeah Ebirah will try to drag Kong in the water, but will it succeed? Ebirah doesn't strike me as a particular physical powerhouse. Kong was able to decisively overpower Gorosaurus and has experience fighting in the water as its scuffle with the Sea Serpent showed. Kong is also gonna be less likely to be willing to go into the water to meet Ebirah than Godzilla was so may hang by the coast and force Ebirah to come to him.

Think the fight depends on who can get the other in their environment, and I think Kong is gonna be harder to wrangle in the water than vice versa so give him the slight edge.
