Mechagodzilla (Heisei) and Garuda VS Desghidorah
Arena: Large forest
Rules: Mechagodzilla and Garuda can combine to form Super Mechagodzilla at any point.
Desghidorah starts as grounded form, 15 minutes after the battle begins he will grow wings.
Verdict: Leaning Desghidorah here, his durability will let him live long enough to eventually decide to close the distance and engage in melee, at which point he’ll tear Mechagodzilla apart.

Re: Mechagodzilla (Heisei) vs Desghidorah
Yeah, SMG just doesn't have the firepower needed to put down Desghidorah, while Desghidorah will eventually wear down and destroy the machine. SMG has the better firepower by far, but his frailty in regards to up close combat means that once Desghidorah starts flying, he's going to outspeed and ram into the machine, and things will quickly go downhill from there. The best bet SMG may have is the shock anchors... but Desghidorah can just pulse the energy back like Godzilla did in round 1, assuming MG hasn't been fixed to prevent that from happening.

Long range is useless as it'll be fuel for the Plasma Grenade. At the same time, though, Mechagodzilla won't be making much headway either with how tough he is. The plasma grenade will hurt, but what's more likely to happen is Desghidorah closing the gap and just stomping and throwing the mecha about until it breaks. Also, Fiery Pyre Road (should it hit before Garuda gets involved) spells doing for Mechagodzilla as it likely won't be able to handle the heat.

I’d say each has a 50/50 chance of beating the other. Both of them are absolute tanks.

Uh, yeah, no, Desghidorah isn't beating SMG. Literally the only hope he has is to send a Shock Pulse through MG's Shock Anchors and fry it from the inside, but the likelihood of that is low because two things need to happen in order for that to work. First, there's no guarantee that the attack would reverse flow through the cables like Godzilla's pulse did. Despite the name, the Shock Pulse doesn't really work the same way Godzilla's Nuclear Pulse does. If you watch closely, it's actually bolts that originate from the spikes on his wings and go around his body. So maybe it would flow back through the cables and maybe it wouldn't. But the second and more important thing is whether SMG will even bother using the cables in the first place. Remember, they weren't used on Godzilla until he was largely incapacitated.
In terms of ranged attacks, obviously everything Desghids has is just going to power the Plasma Grenade. Trying to get into melee probably won't work, considering the mobility increase MG gets once joined with the Garuda. And I seriously doubt Desghidorah will even attempt to take to the air, given he didn't do so against Leo after getting knocked down initially. Regarding Desghids' durability, yes he's an absolute tank, but remember that Leo's attacks WERE hurting him. And MG's standard arsenal is pretty on par with Leo's, with the Plasma Grenade being stronger than most of what Leo is packing. And there's gonna be a looooot of Plasma Grenades flying around given how much Desghids likes to spam his fireballs. It's still gonna take ages, but he's going to get worn down faster than MG will.
