Battle for Erebor

Post by HillyHulk »

Celestial Dragon vs. King Ghidorah (Heisei) vs. Smaug (1977) vs. Vermithrax Perjorative

Location: Erebor, the Lonely Mountain

Celestial Dragon (Dragon Wars):
Flight; Constricting Body; Fire Breath

Smaug (1977):
Flight; Highly durable scales; Fire Breath

Reference for this version of Smaug:

Verdicts:
Any version of Smaug would be a goner since an arrow was all it took to take him down (yes it needed to be shot in a specific spot, but its enemies are bound to be strong enough to bypass that limitation). The fire would be useful against the Celestial Dragon, but not for long.

Vermithrax does have high durability since magic was necessary to kill her (the first a spear, the second a spell). However, the others are just as durable or fast enough in the air to not just avoid its fire, but also catch up to her. On the ground, she's dead for sure since that means being in Ghidorah's clutches.

The Celestial Dragon is fast enough to avoid the gravity beams and its fighting style should overwhelm the brute force of Ghidorah. Its fire is a deadly weapon, able to incinerate Buraki with a single shot, and while Ghidorah's durability and endurance is bound make it last longer I doubt it could take many of these. However, that's the problem; the Celestial Dragon likes to go in close quarters and that won't be enough for something that had been beheaded and still tried to flee. While Ghidorah will be hard pressed to catch the dragon, all it takes is once and it's a goner. My vote is for King Ghidorah.

Heisei Ghidorah could solo all three of them, if Godzilla’s Atomic Ray barely does shit to him, than fire is useless. Melee also won’t do much considering Ghidorah got slammed into the ground repeatedly by Godzilla and then tossed, then was back up no issue. His own Gravity Beams shred through buildings and make Godzilla back away in pain, which is much more than any of these guys can say for their own fire and more than anything their scales could handle. And if any of them wind up knocked to the ground, they’ll get crushed by being used like a trampoline.
