Given how the military would have likely tried something similar to the Hammerdown Protocol in the six-day long assault on Trespasser, he probably takes this. As well, Clover’s destruction is out of pure confusion while Trespasser is designed to destroy, meaning Clover would be ill-equipped to defend itself against a creature of its own size aggressively attacking it.
