If a Grizzly Bear can break a Moose's back in a single swipe, the Cave Bear is gonna fuuuuck up the hell pig.

Pigs like Daeodon and Entelodont are scary as skreoonk, but they're not built to take on massive, powerful animals like bears. One swipe of the paws will cave in it's skull.
A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

These are myths. Bears aren't able to break the spines/necks/skulls of anything remotely close to their own size with their paws.Gigantis wrote:One swipe of the paws will cave in it's skull.
I can see this going either way, honestly. On the one hand, I find Arctodus' potential predatory capability questionable. Modern bears get massively overblown in this regard, as they're actually pretty terrible at killing things compared to most other mammalian carnivores, and Arctodus is arguably even less suited to hunting and fighting because of its limb proportions. On the other hand, Daeodon was probably not a proper hunter itself either. The hellpig certainly has the more dangerous business end than the bear, and could potentially end the fight with a single good chomp to even a semi-vital area. But the bear has the advantage of being able to effectively grapple, which is incredibly helpful in a fight.

If Entelodonts could regularly take on each other, they can handle other species of scales similar to themselves.Gigantis wrote:Pigs like Daeodon and Entelodont are scary as skreoonk, but they're not built to take on massive, powerful animals like bears.
