Yes and no.

It's not directly connected but I believe there's some references to It in later books in the series.

As far as the movies go? Not connected at all.

Uh, Who is the Crimson King?
I've read a few Stephen King books back in High School and I remember that guy being important in some way.

Someone else will have to answer that, I never read any of the Dark Tower books.

He's supposedly the same species as IT. Different individual but same godly race.

If you want to hear Pennywise sing just a line on the score ''yes this is official and off the soundtrack for Chapter 2'' click the link below. It's funny as hell and in theaters it's gonna be even more awesome when you see where this takes place at.

I know your secret your dirty little secret! haha

Most all King's novels are set in the same universe (or multiverse) yes. The movies not too sure about though. There have been rumors of a King shared universe but I don't think there's any direct evidence to support that. For example Randall Flagg from The Stand is a recurring character through many of his novels. For example he's believed to be the same character as the Man in Black from the Dark Tower books.

I'm just talking about the movies.
I know the whole Stephen King Multiverse thing from a forum a few years ago.

Like I said there were rumors of them being connected but I don't know if there's any truth behind it.

Speaking of the Dark Tower, say what you want about the film but did anyone else pick up the on the foreshadowing during the description of how King's Multiverse Works?

Spoiler:
A spider is used to depict the forces of darkness and consumption, the final physical shape IT is locked into during the final confutation.

On that note it's a shame that film didn't do so well, while I know vertually nothing about the Dark Tower series, I really liked the concept of the Beam Guardians and wanted to see more of them.

I just got out of seeing Chapter 2 again... The movie is great, doesn't even feel like 3 hours and I was engaged start to finish. I actually like it better then Chapter 1. Will be seeing it again soon.

Without spoiling me with how it looks.

Spoiler:
Is the giant spider shown in this version?

Not sure why you're adding a spoiler tag, you can't exactly adapt IT without giving him his true physical form

You never know sometimes there might be change like how the new Pet Sematary had Ellie die instead of Gage.

Somewhat like that, don't want to spoiler it for you though with all the details but I will say you shouldn't be disappointed.

Apparently the director is considering melding both films together to create one giant, juggernaut of a movie, along with a Chapter 2 director’s cut.

If already known, my apologies, but I’m seriously bloody hyped for this.

I was really hoping they'd up the scary factor for the sequel, but from what I'm hearing, the film seems to be more of a "fun film", which I don't really know what that means when "scary" could = fun.
