What I mean in a lot of creeps on the internet are gonna fetishize it. I personally think this show could've gone without actually showing the eggs come out of her.Omegamorph wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 3:17 pmLike what? In season 1, the duo fought mostly other prehistoric creatures, while in season 2, they fight primarily humans. Maybe in season 3, mythological beasts could join the fray?

Re: Primal (2019)
I was late to the party watching this show, but despite my usual reservations with heavy blood & gore I found myself surprised and impressed once I got around to the first season. I've definitely been excited for this 2nd season, even if I'm still behind everyone else due to watching the eps as they're unlocked on the AS website.
One of the things I've been liking about the series - and noticing more of in Season 2 - is actually the sequences of calm. Whether it's just a lapse between fights, or a moment of true serenity, this season is doing a good job at letting Spear, Fang, and the audience soak in the moments as we trek across a broader, unknown world. It's a mark of adventure stories I've come to value the most, and it helps give the violence more impact in contrast.
Episode 5 was odd, though - entertaining, but odd. I guess it made for a decent mid-season segway to elaborate on the broader themes of the show, free of the regular plot. *shrug*

Re: Primal (2019)
Just caught up and damn, the last three episodes have been fantastic. Can't wait for the finale.
"...A great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it, and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient, and you hold still, then maybe... Just maybe... It will come to you."

Re: Primal (2019)
You are not wrong, that ending had me disappointed, a better way would have been finish with episode 9, make another season with the Demon Viking as the big enemy.
EDIT: We also never learned if Kamau and the other giants are ok or if the demon Viking completely ignored their newfound ship.
