Great stuff. Intense and action packed, definitely the most creative animated match so far.

I hope that Tom has plans for more of these, eventually.

Simply put,X tried to make a rule where we could get other monsters in like Baltan and Zetton. He was honestly expecting it to get shot down though so it's not that surprising. Still kinda sucks tho.

The rest of the rule sucks but makes sense but Skullcrawler should be fine. It's part of the same universe as a Godzilla.

KSI was never produced or distributed by Toho and is only in by merit of the MonsterVerse. While I had hoped this would pave the path for other Toho associated creatures that would classify in the same category, I think the consensus is the MonsterVerse is going to be the exception to the rule. Unless we get an update or a specific restriction imposed in the future, I think anything that appears in the MonsterVerse has a shot at getting into the KWC, Toho involved or not. That said, where the MV goes post-2020 is anyone's guess.

So no, we're not retiring the Skullcrawler.

Stepping in to give my final thoughts:

1) Pokemon will NOT be added to the K.W.C.
- To be honest, I had final decision on this and I don't think their right for the section. Simple as that.

2) The Associated Rule
- From the start, I have to say I was dubious of this. Yes the Skullcrawlers aren't in any way distributed by Godzilla, but they are IN a franchise associated with Toho. Kong is going to fight Godzilla. Characters from K:SI appear in KOTM. Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan & King Ghidorah appear IN K:SI as references. Like, you can't get more connected actual Toho if you tried. Battlesoccer IS NOT comparable and changing the argument to make it so defeats the purpose of the rule entirely. Changing the goalpost once sets the precedent to do so again, and I'm not going to do it.

I get that some people want their monsters or their matches to appear in the K.W.C. and for the most part I've been pretty lax on ALOT of characters, maybe too many. But I'm going to put my foot down hard this time.
