K.W.C. Official Continuity Thread

Post by Greyshot151 »

Hello new user, or long time fan of the K.W.C. section, and welcome to the Official Continuity Thread. Essentially, you may have noticed certain storylines or plot threads carried over from one match to another. Well, the answer to how far a certain storyline reaches can be answered in this thread. If you are a writer, you can leave a post below as to which matches are connected and I shall update the main listing to meet said criteria.

Listing Rules:
- Number numerically from first to your current match.
- If you incorporate a match that you did not write, place it between the two corresponding matches in your list and add .5
Example - 4, 4.5, 5
- If you incorporate a match that is a spiritual successor yet the original writer continues and ignores it, the spiritual successor will be labelled .5 and italicized.
Example - 4. 4.5, 5
- If multiple sequels occur then a "-" will be placed underneath the corresponding sequence.
Example - 4, 4.5, -, -, 5
- List by Match Number then name
- Create continuity title that reflects series. Keep it appropriate.

Wasn't Kiryu vs. Hedorah also part of the Godzilla X Hedorah continuity?

(God, saying Godzilla X Hedorah makes it sound like it's some bizarre shipping someone made because reasons)

Wasn't there

Match 18: Gigan vs. King Ghidorah
Match 129: Gigan vs. Godzilla vs. Mecha-King Ghidorah

There might be a part three I'm unaware of.
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

Okay, fixed the Hedorah mix up. Added JVMs and that should be it!

Huh... This is an interesting topic. Never knew one or two of those matches linked with certain storylines like that (notably the ZFvsG&MX fight). But with that said, I think one of Tom's earlier matches (Battra vs. Kumasogami) is connected to the Bagan storyline, as I do recall a bit of text referencing a rematch between the two in Match 56. Correct me if I am wrong on that part.

Just remembered about family man Kong and his wacky neighbor Gorosaurus:

Kong & Gorosaurus Duology:
1 - Match 43: King Kong vs. Gorosaurus, Titanosaurus and Baragon (Showa)
2 - Match 80: Kumasogami vs. King Kong and Gorosaurus

Now, this next one's a little tricky. I'm not entirely certain if this would count as a series, per se. None of these matches are actually connected to each other, but they all have one thing in common: They all take place "within" actual Toho movies (King Kong vs. Godzilla, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, War of the Gargantuas, and Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, respectively) and aren't completely new story universes, like every other K.W.C. match. I guess you could say it's a thematic series...?

Movie Continuation Series:
1 - Match 1: King Kong vs. SpaceGodzilla
2 - Match 18: Gigan vs. King Ghidorah / Match 129: Gigan vs. Godzilla vs. Mecha-King Ghidorah
3 - Match 55: Frankenstein vs. Gaira (Showa)
4 - Match 120: Gomora vs. Destoroyah

Lastly, Match 79: SpaceGodzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah is another continuation / vague sequel of the Bagan trilogy. Match 125: Grand King Ghidorah vs. Ultraman makes mention of Zone Fighter vs. Godzilla and Monster X, which would also connect it to the Bagan arc.

...

'Helpfully' points out that "The Gabara Series" isn't bolded like the other titles. >_>

Hmm, what about Match 79: SpaceGodzilla vs. Grand King Ghidorah? It's a story that's connected with the same Ghidorah and SpaceGodzilla from the Bagan trilogy.

It'd be a trilogy. There's the one with Kiryu and Orga, there's the one with Kong, Hedorah, etc., and there's the one with the Gyaos, Gaira, and Jet Jaguar.

I could, but for reasons which should be apparent very soon, I would rather not. ;)

See, your close. First 2 are Tom's matches. The last one is actually mine but I'll take it as a compliment!

OK, fixed. Thought for a while on a new complex way to add them in before I said F*** it and decided to go with a far easier method.

Also I did update Tomzilla's section to reflect his series of matches that are related.

As a quick update; Match 133 (the Mechani-Kong match) should fall under the Tomzilla series category. I believe he made a post that he would make one more KWC match that was going to connect to Mechani-Kong.

Only problem is I don't know where it fall ATM. So I am holding off until it is incorporated.

Hopefully one day I'll see my Destoroyah vs Devonians Quadrilogy here. Hopefully.

How does Match 137 connect to Match 135?

I've recently noticed that Jet Jaguar vs. Kamacuras mentions Jet Jaguar's victory over Monster X. Thing is, Ultraman and Jet Jaguar vs. Monster X was written by Tom and Jet Jaguar vs. Kamacuras by Christian. So would it go like this?...

Jet Jaguar Series:
1 - Match 25: Ultraman & Jet Jaguar vs. Monster X
1.5 - Match 32: Jet Jaguar vs. Kamacuras (Millennium)

UPDATE:

Kumasogami Series:
1 - Match 13: Anguirus (Showa) vs. Kumasogami
2 - Match 27: Kumasogami vs. Battra

Monster X trilogy:
1- Match 64: Monster X vs Gorosaurus
2- Match 128: Grand King Ghidorah vs Monster X, Orga, Gigan, Megalon, and Cyber-Godzilla
3- Match 154: Monster X vs Gabara
