Spoiler:
Manhattan, New York.

He couldn’t go on any longer.

Many battles Zilla had fought that pushed him to his limits, sometimes even far past them, but this was one where he could push no further. One of his legs was broken in three places, only barely able to hold him standing; his left arm was dislocated, his body covered in brutal bruises from a beatdown unlike any other. Even his right eye was swollen shut, his nostrils running with rivers of blood, and the great lizard could swear that at least two of his ribs were shattered. New York’s champion was entirely spent of nuclear energy, all his reserves depleted in battle with the foe he had failed to put down. And yet, while his body stood broken, his spirit shone brighter than ever and he tried to limp forward. Tried to reach the foe who he knew would spell doom for the city he protected if he fell here and now. A pale, beaten shadow of his former self, Zilla still tried to fight on.

But such heroic levels of relentlessness would prove to be in vain.

Glowing red eyes shining with mindless rage, the once-benevolent King of Okinawa swung his fists forward in a double-handed cross. The impact of his hands colliding with Zilla’s boxy skull echoed with a sickening CRACK! that told its story well enough. Three trickles of blood running from the wound cracked into the lizard’s forehead, even the might of Zilla could not withstand such a strike; with a final hissing cry, the mighty defender collapsed to the ground with a deafening quake.

Raising his arms into the air, the simian god known as King Caesar roared an earth-trembling cry of triumph--but unlike all other times past when he had achieved victory, those who had just witnessed the terrible sight reacted not with joy, but with horror.

“Zilla! NO!” cried Nick Tatopolous as he watched his adopted son fall in the streets of New York, his voice all but entirely drowned out by King Caesar’s thundering bellow. Alongside the leader of H.E.A.T., his fellow comrades Elsie and Mendel, as well as an entire crowd of soldiers and civilians alike, recoiled at the sight of the city’s beloved guardian in his defeated state, their spirits plummeting like a stone off a cliff. Even the normally stoic face of French Special Forces agent Phillipe Roache, who usually did his best to keep his visible emotions in check, bore a somber face as he put a hand on Nick’s shoulder.

But none of their expressions held a candle to the looks of horrified guilt that royal Azumi Princess Nami Kunigami and her grandfather Tengan.

This is wrong, Nami thought as she watched their beloved guardian lumber towards the fallen Zilla with malevolent intentions, this is all wrong! He shouldn’t be acting like this!

The look in King Caesar’s eyes was not the one of righteous justice that they knew so well; instead his eyes seemed to be nothing but characterless orbs that shone with a hellish intensity anything but befitting a guardian. The once noble warrior-king of Okinawa who had protected all that was good for so long, had been somehow transformed into a violent brute of unthinking wrath. Both Nami and her grandfather knew that this was not the guardian they knew; he would’ve never even thought of committing such violent acts willingly. Something was definitely wrong with him, there was zero question.

King Caesar, beloved guardian monarch of Okinawa, was not in his right mind.

His crimson eyes shining with demonic fury, King Caesar bellowed seismically and lashed out with a foot, kicking the fallen Zilla in the throat. A rough gag retched from the lizard’s jaws, only for the leonine monkey to kick him yet again.

“Caesar, STOP!” Tengan begged, but his pleas fell on deaf ears as the former defender kicked the wounded iguana in the stomach.

“GET UP, ZILLA!” cried Audrey Timmonds at the top of her lungs, trying to encourage the irradiated reptile to keep going. “GET UP!”

King Caesar roared once more and jabbed his leg forth yet again, this time kicking Zilla so hard he sent the great reptile skidding a full one hundred meters away.

Nick winced again as he felt the impact of the blow rush over him. He knew that if Zilla continued fighting, he’d be as good as dead; there was no use in encouraging him to fight on. It was time to come up with a Plan B, and they needed to come up with it fast. But first thing’s definitely first: Zilla needed to get the hell out of here, right now. There was no telling how long his body could hold together before King Caesar’s brutal assault eventually became too much for even him to handle… … …

“ZILLA!” Nick cried out to get the lizard’s attention, “TO THE WATER, ZILLA! GO TO THE WATER!”

“Don’t worry, I’m sending him a command!” Mendel said as his fingers flew at seemingly warp speeds on his laptop, and within moments a series of high-pitched ringing sounds emanated from the hand-held computer at ultrasonic frequencies. Sure enough, Zilla’s eyes snapped open upon hearing them, and with a strained groan he reached out with a clawed hand to begin dragging himself along, towards the water… … …

… … ...before two great fists smashed down upon his boxy skull, inflicting a powerful concussion upon his already damaged head.

King Caesar howled a frightful roar as he raised a clawed hand behind him, but before he could bring it down he felt something tiny and fast strike him repeatedly and harmlessly in the side of the head. Growling in surprise, the giant shisa slowly turned around in the direction of the unexpected projectiles, and his glowing eyes narrowed into a ferocious glare.

Phillipe Roache aimed his sniper at the simian golem’s eyes and fired again, his own eyes narrowed in a seemingly fearless scowl. King Caesar didn’t even flinch, he simply gazed a death stare at the tiny human who had been so foolish to attack him. All eyes fell to him, wide and fearful at what he had just done.

“Wha-WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOIN’ MAN?!” cried Victor “Animal” Pelotti.

“Is he goddamn crazy?!” shrieked his wife Lucy.

Phillipe didn’t even bat an eye as he issued a single warning to his fellow human companions:

“Running would be a good idea.”

King Caesar roared a cry so loud he shattered all glass in the vicinity, pure rage overtaking whatever was left of his once-noble mind. At this, the others turned and began to run as the French agent had instructed… … ...but as they did, Nick was the first to notice that Phillipe wasn’t moving. His old friend was staying put, sniper still hoisted and aimed at the leonine golem. And when Phillipe fired again, King Caesar bellowed and began to thunder towards the man with a killer look in his glowing eyes.

“PHILIPPE!” Nick screamed, but the old patriot didn’t pay him a glance. He simply fired another shot into King Caesar’s howling face, seemingly rooted to the spot he stood as the giant shisa lumbered towards him with earth-trembling footsteps. The former guardian monster was moving at a slow pace, and yet was still gaining quickly on Phillippe who still held his guard with sniper a-shooting… … ...until then, after one shot straight into the kaiju’s face, Phillipe heard the unmistakable click! that he knew could only mean one thing. That his mighty weapon had run entirely dry, as King Caesar loomed larger than ever above him and raised a foot to flatten him like a pancake… … …

“GET OUT OF THERE!” yelled Elsie Chapman.

“PHILIPPE! NO!” Nick wailed… … ...

WHOOSH!

… … ...a second before a lengthy form of colossal proportions suddenly exploded from the water with an ear-rattling roar that sounded akin to a giant tiger. A massive Japanese dragon clad in glimmering jade scales leaped bodily out of the Hudson Bay in a beautifully fluid arc, gaping jaws slamming shut on King Caesar’s neck as he tackled the howling King Caesar right off his feet. Philippe couldn’t stifle a shocked gasp as the dragon pushed the massive golem to the ground, several vehicles being crushed in their impact and exploding into roaring infernos that burned like giant bonfires. The moment the beast made his grand entrance, his identity was unquestionable.

“Manda?!” Elsie cried out.

“What the hell is he doing here?!” asked Mendel.

Across from the flabbergasted Philippe, who was still amazed to be alive, Manda growled as he pushed against the ground with his small paws, trying to shove King Caesar further back, but the Okinawan god wasn’t having it. Howling with mindless fury, the shisa flung his arms out and smacked the Japanese dragon in the horned head, forcing him to relinquish his grip and recoil away with a bellow of pain. The moment the Ryu let go, King Caesar was upon him; like a feral animal, the monkey-like golem leaped upon his serpentine adversary and clamped his claws around his lengthy body, holding him to the ground. Then, without hesitation, he lunged forward and chomped down upon the dragon’s body.

Manda bellowed out, but despite the pain he looked to the humans before him and made a few ‘forward’ motions with his head, growling commandingly. Telling them to get out of here.

“PHILIPPE, COME ON LET’S MOVE!” Nick roared.

Only upon hearing his friend’s voice did the secret service agent finally muster the strength to move, and from there on it wasn’t hard for him to obey Nick’s request. Only when Philippe was amongst them did Nick finally give the order to retreat that was needed.

“Everyone, deeper into the city! Go, go, go!”

While the group found themselves finally fleeing amidst a crowd of other individuals caught in the crossfire, Manda roared and thrashed about as King Caesar shook his head like a rabid dog, teeth still clamped upon the dragon’s lengthy physique. But despite the seemingly sticky situation he was in, Manda was nowhere near helpless--and a plan of attack had already entered his mind.
Rad as hell. Can't wait to read this and find up with our favorite shisa. Also, nice Singular Point nod

Spoiler:
Off the coast of Africa; 1978

The great, cautious eye’s continued to scour across the rocky waves. Dark blue and deep set into the sockets, they belonged to a man that stood at a massive 6’9 feet tall. Wavy hair followed him around whenever he went; once a dark brown, had become almost entirely silver with age. He was known as the most famous voyager of all time during his youth.

But now, having turned 55 years old, and knowing what he had just saw; he was beginning to wonder if he was biting off more than he could chew..

Roman Salvador isn’t what one would call the average man, even with his ever slowly yet surely advancing age. He had traveled across all seven continents, sailed across all seven seas, and had been the discoverer of tons of unknown species. However, he found himself slowing down in recent years. He couldn’t tell exactly if age was the biggest part, or maybe just the fact that he had pretty much seen everything across the globe already. Whatever the case was though, he decided that he needed to go on at least one more.. And he planned it to be his biggest adventure yet.

In his first trip to Africa, he had heard of a giant beast of legend from the natives of the congo. What it spoke of was that of what appeared to be a massive, dinosaur-like beast, skin color as blue as could be; complete with massive dorsal spines running down it’s back and a box shaped head. Apparently though, anyone who wound up getting too close to it had suffered a severe case of radiation poisoning. Some said it was some sort of “supernatural” dinosaur, the ghost of one of the many now extinct animals if you will. Others claimed maybe the “radiation poisoning” stemmed from it being a heavily mutated iguana, irradiated by the French and their atomic bombs. Whatever the case, Salvador claimed to see what it was for himself.

He could also say the monster that had just attacked it’s ship was not it.

At first, he thought it was just the blood of a normal sea creature, like a Sperm Whale that had come to the surface, chowing down on a Giant Squid in the process. Once he got closer though, he realized it couldn’t have been a whale; or any sea creature he knew for that matter. But it was definitely alive, and it had its eyes set right on his ship.

And it had certainly left an impact. A good chunk of the bottom of it had massive claw marks, and it had almost bitten into the entire left half of the hull, had a well-time rifle shot to it’s yellow, cat-like eye irritated it enough to retreat back into the depths. But with it being a rather dark and stormy night, it had almost every opportunity to come back.

“Keep an eye out, men!” Roman barked to his crew. “No telling when the beast may try to strike again!”. At the same time though, he also still kept his vision set for the Congo shore, seeing the lush tree’s wave their leaves around in the wind, but still too far away to truly make landfall. He still hoped the ship would be able to get there in one piece at least.

Like the universe was teasing him, that was about to be tested.

“CAPTAIN. IT’S BACK! THE MONSTER’S BACK!” He could hear the yelling from all of his crew members, along with the barks of the dog. With haste, he grabbed a rifle and harpoon with his left hand, and bolted out the door.. And was immediately filled with dread.

A massive, yellow sail formed a V shaped stroke in the water, followed by gigantic, red scaly skin as the beast began to show it’s entire form. It’s back was followed quickly by it’s giraffe-like neck, glued to a crocodilian head that screeched out what was perhaps the most ear-piercing sound anyone on board could’ve imagined. By the time it had done that, it stood up on it’s full 115 meter height, ocean water dripping from every inch of its body from above the waves, illuminated by the ever increasing lightning strikes, and roar only rivaled by the boom of thunder that followed.

“STAND YOUR GUARD MEN. DON’T LET THIS SEA MONSTER GET THE BEST OF YOU.” Roman had yelled out, both weapons still in hand. The crew members did as they were told.. Albeit, mostly out of fear than compliance. The sheer volume of his deep voice had actually managed to catch the great dinosaur's attention. It’s glowing, yellow eyes looked down at Salvador with nothing less but sheer annoyance and hatred; but Salvador had ended up shooting the same glare right back.

“That’s right, you blood skinned beast! I’m not afraid of you!” Salvador continued to boast, although it wasn’t much in the way of the truth. Still, with his team too frightened to stand up to this monster that threatened them; he had to. Putting the harpoon at his side, he closed his one eye, aiming his rifle up high as the red monster screeched it’s elephantine sound again. Gritting his teeth, the sound of the bullet shooting out from the gun rang out among the crowd, as it zoomed right towards the monster's chest..

And harmlessly bounced off and fell into the sea.

“Uh oh..” was all Roman was able to say before the inevitable happened.

The great animal turned around, trumpeting all the way as it’s fin-like tail waved around into the sky, and slammed into the ship like a baseball bat. The sheer force of it all had made almost everything look like a blur to people on board, sending them tumbling like tumbleweeds in the desert. Salvador had slammed right back into the cockpit, hitting his head on the wheel the moment he had gone in it. Trying his best to regain his vision, he grabbed onto it; trying to regain any control of it that he possibly could before the ship eventually found itself fully crashing into the beach. “HOLD ON TIGHTLY MEN!” was all he could manage to say, doubting that any of them could manage to even hear him over the chaos.

Salvador only had one plan left to use. If the ship rammed itself in the straight line that it already was, there was a higher chance that little, if anybody, on board would make it out alive. But if he could manage to turn the ship around, a good chunk of the momentum could be stopped. With that in mind, he turned the wheel to the right as fast as his reflexes would allow him to, allowing the ship in general to ever slowly lose some of it’s speed.

But it wasn’t enough to stop the crash that would follow.

The sound of sand slamming against the metal became clear as the ship began to reach its destination, finally stopping when it’s side crashed into a tree full force. The sheer impact of it all had sent Salvador slamming into the glass window, and the combined physical and mental stress was finally enough to make him fall into unconsciousness..

Spoiler:
Crimson orbs, set within gold.

That was what he saw as he looked up, witnessing everything else collapsing around him. The world corroded away, darkness taking its place as it crawled over all with countless hands. Screams echoed in the distance, a faint chorus of agony. But all he could focus on was them, on those shining spheres filled with the absence of all things good. They had a horrid beauty as they bore into his soul, despite how they wanted to crush and devour all that was beautiful in existence. All he thought was powerful was but a mere candle’s flame next to this raging inferno, as things he once thought invincible accomplished as much as a moth hurling itself into a flame.

He reached out, not sure why, thinking he could accomplish anything against that which was beyond him.

***

Eyes snapped open, a deep gasp filling his lungs with air. Sweat ran down his skin as the muscular adolescent sat up, getting out of bed. He placed his feet on the golden floor, his eyes adjusting abnormally quickly as lights turned on and illuminated walls of the same color.

“My Keizer, you must be in the command room as swiftly as possible. The enemy is making a move.” Came the neutral voice of a subordinate, dressed in all black, who just as soon as he entered was already turning and exiting the chamber.

“Yes…” He whispered to himself, standing up. He quickly checked the surroundings again, reassuring himself he had just been dreaming. He was not powerless before a grander entity. He made his way to a mirror, quickly dressing himself in the dark attire of his faction as he looked at himself. “Never again…” He affirmed.

His door opened again, but before he could reprimand someone for attempting to rush him, a figure dressed in white and purple robes stepped in. The pale-skinned, blonde man wore a kind smile. “Keizer, your followers are growing anxious. The worshippers of the supercomputer truly have begun a power play.”

This snapped the adolescent leader out of his stupor, sending him rushing past the figure. The priest followed casually, never changing his demeanor.

***

Dual doors slid open as the Keizer entered the room, the dozens of others present turning and acknowledging his presence. “Tell me what is happening now.” He wasted no time.

“Sir, a group of saucers were sighted approaching Earth several hours ago. Computer controlled saucers, to be more exact.”

All eyes were on the monitor depicting the two signals approaching the planet below. Two ships, with a giant lifeform under each.

“How many saucers reached Earth?”

“Seven.”

Their leader smirked at this. “They lost five, how pathetic.” He chuckled.

“What do we do about the two kaiju they have obtained?” The subordinate asked with a tinge of fear in his voice, the tension in the room growing as the gathered Xiliens awaited their leader’s reply.

He looked back at the screen, looking for a further clue at what Earth kaiju they could have obtained, but something in his gut had already told him. The Keizer sighed.

The priest’s voice entered the room, reaching the leader’s ears and saying what he had already been thinking. “I think it is time we show our trump card.”

“Yes, I think it is, Metphies.” There was a collective gasp of shock and concern in the command room at what was being suggested, but the Keizer was quick to rebut any objections. “We know what kaiju they have, let us not kid ourselves. We must resort to similarly drastic measures.”

“But sir,” the same Xilien who had been briefing his master spoke up, “we risk revealing everything we have with this!”

The Keizer’s smile made the subordinate step back. “We will still have secrets of our own, I assure you, thanks to our scientists.” His next words lacked the upbeat tone. “Do not question me again.”

As his gathered followers found themselves taking a few steps backwards, the adolescent commander raised a hand into the air, looking as though it were just in a random direction. But they all knew this was not the case, and that instead he was reaching across hundreds of thousands of miles.

***

Ganymede was a desolate place. The landscape was dark and lacked much in the way of anything remarkable, being bumpy but lacking any sort of mountains or the like. Not a single lifeform crawled or walked across its surface.

Because he had taken to curling up in a ball and slumbering for the past few months. The black flesh of the humanoid reptile, combined with the bleach-white bones covering his head and torso, blended in with the barren place. A tail was curled around his stomach, splitting into two at its end.

His mind was blank, a dreamless sleep seizing him, until something pricked his mind. Consciousness flooded through the brain yet again, snapping open four eyes of scarlet. Muscular arms extended out, stretching, the sound of popping joints being lost in the oxygen-lacking environment. His legs did the same, bringing him to a standing position. The tail uncurled, kicking up dust as it swept across the ground. A mouth filled with sharp teeth opened in a yawn, exhaling smoke. Cracking his neck, Monster X looked up.

The blue and yellow world he shared a name with hovered in sight in the dark void of space. The voice of the soul he was linked to compelled him to come to Planet X, for tasks needed completing and bodies needed breaking.

Something the destroyer would be all too happy to aid with.

Curling his legs in, he sprang upwards with a powerful leap, sending rocks flying. The moon’s light gravity combined with his own powers to manipulate such things carried him miles into the sky, the dislodged stones rising up with him. He twisted in mid-air, firing down golden bolts of energy from his eyes, which smashed into the ground. The explosions ripped away large chunks of debris, a gravitational anomaly carrying them upwards towards himself.

In a flash of light, the floating rocks all coalesced around his body, forming a meteor. Like it was a bullet whose gun just had its trigger pulled, the mass launched forth at blinding speeds into the depths of space.

Hoping y'all enjoy this little bit from the first match I'll submit to the KWC once its done.
Spoiler:
Gigantis roared as he started towards the other kaiju, a soulless look on his face as he plodded over to Destoroyah. The spawn of the oxygen destroyer tilted its head in utter confusion, as Zilla also stopped to look at Gigantis. The fire monster stopped before suddenly charging with impossible speed, ramming into Destoroyah’s chest, sparks flying off the impact point. Screeching in surprise, Destoroyah toppled over, allowing Zilla to use the downed kaiju as a platform to launch himself at Gigantis, crashing into the other titan. The two Godzilla look-alike’s fell into the ocean, thrashing about as they tore into each other, biting, clawing, kicking, and slashing. Destoroyah attempted to get up, only for a barrage of missiles and laser fire from Mechagodzilla forcing the crustacean beast down again. Destoroyah howled in rage and pain, preparing a micro-oxygen beam to try and stagger Mechagodzilla, but the mecha suddenly tackled Mechagodzilla from behind, lifting it up with its two massive arms. Destoroyah had only moments to process what was going to happen when The mecha chucked Mechagodzilla straight at him. Destoroyah shrieked as Mechagodzilla smashed into him, downing him again while also damaging Mechagodzilla. The Mecha moved in for the kill, blasting its proton scream at both Destoroyah and Mechagodzilla, lighting them ablaze with energy. The mecha was cut short however, as Zilla’s body suddenly crashed into The mecha’s head, nearly bowling the mechanized titan over. Stumbling, The mecha righted itself, turning to face his assailant, Gigantis. Destoroyah shoved Mechagodzilla off of him and chucked the machine away, sending it crashing into a ruined building. Meanwhile, The mecha was engaged in combat with Gigantis, the latter severely outmatched by The mecha’s superb brawling skills. Tossing the fire monster like a ragdoll, The mecha threw Gigantis a short distance away, only for the beast to get right back up and charge towards The mecha. Destoroyah readied himself to throw hands with either the recovered Mechagodzilla or Zilla, snarling aggressively at both.

An earth-shattering roar interrupted the commotion.

Every monster gathered turned to see something impossible rising out of the water. A low rumbling growl emanated from the newcomer as he rose to his full 120 meter height. Spines flashing an azure blue, eyes burning with repressed primordial fury. Then, he roared.

Godzilla was back.

Destoroyah shrieked in fury as he looked at Godzilla with indignant rage. Impossible! He was sure he had won their bout some time ago, and now he was back? Godzilla snarled in turn. He had a score to settle. The king of the monsters charged at Destoroyah, smashing into the precambrian horror and nearly toppling him over. As the two proceeded to tear into each other, Zilla leapt at Mechagodzilla, knocking the robot off its feet. Gigantis roared and fired its misty atomic breath at The mecha, who shrugged the attack off and socked the radioactive mutant in the face. Gigantis was sent reeling back, clutching at his face as he stumbled. The mecha gave the unfortunate beast no time to recover, grabbing the fire monster's tail and flinging him into a nearby building, which collapsed on top of Gigantis. Uncontent with this, The mecha's programming led it to try to dig Gigantis out of the rubble to finish him off, only for an atomic ray to hit it in the face! The mecha backpedaled as Gigantis rose out of the rubble, roaring furiously. The mecha recovered quickly, speeding forwards with its jets to grab Gigantis's neck and smash the fire monster along the ground. The mecha tossed Gigantis into the air before throwing him straight into Godzilla and Destoroyah's path. Godzilla grunted in surprise before tail-whipping Destoroyah into the airborne Gigantis. The mecha roared threateningly at Godzilla, who roared in turn, sprinting towards it. The mecha fired off several missiles from its shoulder apertures, doing little to slow Godzilla's advance; however, the two soon smashed into each other. The mecha attempted to use its jets to hit Godzilla with a charged punch, only for the alpha predator to ram The mecha, downing it.

As opponents were juggled around, Zilla seemed to be playing a sort of twisted run and dodge game with Mechagodzilla, the lethal killing machine firing missile after missile and blast after blast at Zilla, who was running circles around the robotic doppelganger. Despite Mechagodzilla's best efforts to hit Zilla, it was failing as Zilla twisted and turned around every attack coming at him. Mechagodzilla was suddenly knocked off its feet as Gigantis was flung into it. Destoroyah cackled evilly as it fired its micro-oxygen beam at both the downed Mechagodzilla and Gigantis. Zilla screeched as he prepared to leap at Destoroyah but the reptilian mutant was suddenly grabbed and thrown to the ground by The mecha. Zilla shrieked in rage, as The mecha loomed over him. Unexpectedly, Zilla was saved as Godzilla barreled into The mecha, hitting the machine so hard it crashed into Destoroyah, who screamed in rage and annoyance. Godzilla snarled as Zilla got back to his feet and barked at the monster king. Godzilla hissed at the mutant as he rose to his full height and roared. He would show this lowly piece of scum why he didn't have "God" in his name.

Godzilla charged at Zilla, who sped at the monster king as well. Zilla leapt over Godzilla and clambered onto his back, scratching at Godzilla's dorsal fins. Godzilla tried to shake the iguana mutant off of him, but Zilla held on tight. Godzilla roared as Zilla's claws scratched at his armored hide, drawing his blood. Godzilla dipped the front end of his body forwards suddenly, managing to fling Zilla off of him. Godzilla's dorsal spines flashed bright as he sucked in a huge breath of air before blasting it at Zilla, who clambered out of the way as Godzilla spat his ray at him. Zilla leapt onto a building as his own dorsal spines flashed green as he fired his own atomic ray to counter Godzilla's. Godzilla almost laughed as his blazing azure beam almost instantly pushed back upon Zilla's own bright green ray. Noticing this, Zilla shut his blast off and ducked under Godzilla's beam, sprinting at The monster king, weaving this way and that around the death ray. Godzilla shut his atomic breath off right as Zilla tackled him, causing the titan to take a step back. Godzilla roared as he tried to grab Zilla, only for Zilla to dodge the swipe and ram his dorsal spines into Godzilla's torso. Godzilla howled in rage and pain as he gripped Zilla's tail and flung him into the air, sending the mutant iguana crashing into a building. Zilla recovered just in time to dodge an enraged Godzilla stomping his foot down upon the place he was seconds before. Godzilla spun around with frightening speed, grabbing onto Zilla's arm and pulling, swinging around and throwing Zilla into a building, dislocating his arm. Zilla shrieked in pain as he thrashed in agony, Godzilla charging straight at him. Zilla rolled to the side to avoid getting bulldozed by Godzilla, flexing his legs as he jumped up onto Godzilla's back again, holding on with three of his limbs and biting down upon Godzilla's head with his jaws. Godzilla roared in pain and irritation, trying to shake Zilla off of him. The mutant iguana was proving to be far more of an annoyance than he had expected. Now, he would end this.

This reminds me of Pipeworks Godzilla game intros. A big rumble featuring a lot of kaiju, it's pretty cool.

Spoiler:
The surrounding buildings and trees suddenly began to shake, a powerful gust of wind blowing through the city at high speeds. Luz and Wendell held onto Maria and Eden respectively while Pyrite backed up against a tree, which shuddered as the howling winds blew past it. As the airstream died down, Pyrite looked around, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Where did that come from?"

"Uh….guys?"

Wendell pointed up as a titanic shadow darkened the sky around the group, enormous wings flapping as a draconic beast of mythical proportions came into view. The ferocious titan dug its claws into the nearest building, perching atop the skyscraper as it unleashed a cacophonous roar from its maw, which was ringed with sharp, deadly teeth. The draconic entity roared into the sky, announcing its presence.

Rathalos, the king of the skies!

The orange wyvern narrowed his eyes as he scanned the skyline, hissing threateningly as he detected something approaching. A sonic boom rocked the city, glass shattering as a whitish-grey blur sped past Rathalos and smashed its feet on top of another skyscraper, a shrieking roar escaping its beak.

Rodan, monster of the sky!

Rathalos bared his teeth at Rodan, who spread her majestic wings in return, trying to intimidate the wyvern. Rathalos immediately noticed how large Rodan was compared to him. It wasn't by much, but Rodan still was bigger. Angered by this, Rathalos snorted as he spread his own wings in turn, screeching at Rodan. The pterosaur-like kaiju bellowed as she flapped her wings, charging at Rathalos head-on. Rathalos took off from his perch as well, compressing his wings as he stretched out his talons. The two aerial beasts collided with an audible crashing noise as Rodan stabbed her beak into Rathalos' torso while the wyvern dug his talons into the pterosaur's shoulders. The two beasts shrieked in pain as they backed off from each other before ramming straight into the other, both struggling mightily in a deadly close-range battle.

Luz ran up closer to take a good look at the warring monsters, Maria following close behind. Wendell, Eden, and Pyrite kept their distance as they watched their friends closely, especially Luz.

"Stay back, Maria. I got this!" said Luz confidently as he balled his fists up, expecting them to flare up with light…. Except they didn't.

"...Wait, uh-hold on….what the hell?" Luz exclaimed, utterly confused.

Maria blinked in surprise before she took out her pen and tried writing something into the air. Likewise, it was completely ineffective. Noticing the absence of his friend's powers, Pyrite grimaced. This was NOT good. Meanwhile, Wendell ran over to Luz and Maria to question them as to what on earth was going on.

"What happened? Why can't you use your powers?" asked Wendell in an ever so slightly panicked tone.

"Dude, I don't know!" retorted Luz, though out of confusion and not malice.

"This isn't good…" muttered Maria, worriedly looking up at Rathalos and Rodan, who were busy tearing into each other.

"You guys might want to get out of there!" shouted Pyrite at Luz, Wendell, and Maria as Eden looked up above them with quite a bit of fear.

As they looked up, Luz blinked momentarily before mumbling something quietly under his breath.

"....Oh sh!t."

"RUN!" yelled Wendell as he charged away, grabbing onto Eden's hand and running as fast as he could away as Pyrite turned tail and decked it as well. Luz grabbed onto Maria's arm and ran with her in tow frantically as what would have crushed them seconds before they took off crashed into the street level.

Rathalos roared as he threw Rodan to the ground, landing atop the pterosaur, jaws aimed for her neck. Rodan jammed her sharp beak into Rathalos' chest before he could lock his jaws around her neck, eliciting a cry of pain from the wyvern. Seizing upon Rathlos' momentarily stunned state, Rodan clapped her wings upon her opponent's head, forcing Rathalos off of her. Shaking his head out of his momentary dizziness, Rathalos screeched in surprise as he was thrown off his feet as Rodan slammed her mass into him. Rathalos flapped his wings frantically as he backpedaled wildly, backing up into a skyscraper. Rodan pressed her advantage, pecking away at Rathalos' body. The wyvern snarled in pain and anger as he was smashed through a building, rubble and debris flying everywhere from the impact.

"Oh jeez oh jeez oh jeez-" yelled Luz as he ran with Maria beside him, doing his best not to get flattened by the broken pieces of metal, wood, and stone flying this way and that. For the first time in quite a while, Luz really did feel genuine powerlessness. Not just because of the dire situation he and his friends were in, but because of his current lack of abilities. How come he didn't have them at hand? Luz hadn't the slightest idea, as he knew for himself he wasn't quite the brightest when it came to smarts. He had Maria to rely on when it came to things dealing with that kind of stuff. But right now, keeping her safe was his top priority. It was at that moment Luz realized that Wendell, Pyrite, and Eden were gone. Luz felt his heart sink as fear began to creep its way into his mind. Hiding behind a building to shield himself and Maria from the two warring monsters close by, Luz nearly freaked out.

"Maria! They're gone! What are we going to do??" shouted Luz so that Maria could hear him over the raging sounds of battle.

"Luz, calm down, it'll be okay…" replied Maria calmly, though it was obvious she was putting up an act and was visibly trembling in fear.

"If we, like, you know, had our powers, I wouldn't be worried but you know!!" vented Luz, who felt like miniature explosions were going off in his mind by the billions.

"We'll be fine, we just need to get somewhere safe.." said Maria in response, pulling Luz into a hug. "We-we'll be okay…"

"Of course, of course…" Luz said worriedly as he hugged his girlfriend tightly. "Now, let's get moving agaiOHMYGAWD-"

Luz yelped in fear as his instincts took over, grabbing Maria and running as fast as he could away from the building he was just at, which was now being caved in by Rathalos' body smashing through it. There was no more time left, they needed to run, and run fast. Where would they go to hide from these gigantic monsters? Luz didn't know. He didn't know anything that was going on around him, except for one thing. He only knew that he would need to keep Maria safe from the madness going off around him.

Rodan squawked in alarm as Rathalos pushed back upon her, sending the pterosaur crashing into another building. Rathalos growled as he swung his clubbed tail at Rodan, the latter just barely dodging the impact. Rathalos lunged at Rodan, slicing his claws deep into her flesh as he bit down hard on Rodan's shoulder, feeling the taste of blood fill his senses. Rodan shrieked in pain, kicking Rathalos back with one of her powerful legs, forcing the wyvern off of her. Rathalos attempted another lunge, only to get battered by Rodan's wings. Taking the opening, Rodan took off and perched atop a high-up skyscraper as her vision began to swim, her body feeling more and more sluggish with each passing second. Rathalos hissed contentedly as he took note of Rodan's weakened state. His deadly trick was working, it seemed. Rathalos spread his draconic wings and flew up towards where Rodan was perched and roared with anticipation as he sped towards his weakened opponent, crashing into her. Rodan screeched as she, Rathalos, and the building promptly collapsed onto the ground, sending up a huge dust cloud as shrapnel and rubble were tossed into the air from the impact.
Hopefully you enjoy the trailer for this match I'm writing. I'm shelving my big monster brawl for now and focusing on this in particular because its just two monsters I need to keep track of, lol.

Spoiler:
Ghidorah’s three heads jolted, the left one chirping in shock. So silent had the atmosphere been—quiet enough that one could even hear a pine needle dropping from a mile away—that the sudden explosion had taken the three-headed monster completely by surprise. If such a thick atmosphere could be cut by a mere needle, then that strange fireball was the equivalent of blowing it open with a cannon. On the opposite side of the left head, however, its right counterpart couldn’t have bore a more opposite expression; a nearly-berserk desire to rip and blast apart all that existed still reigned king amongst its emotions, and the hideous snarl it bore showed that perfectly. Baring its teeth like a frenzied mammal, the right head hissed a spine-chilling snarl in the direction from which the ionized projectile had come from.

At this point, Ghidorah was losing any suspenseful fascination he had held prior, and the lightning in the heavens began to grow more frequent and the clouds began to brew once more; the One Who was Many was getting bored. The dragon’s twin tails rattling with growing fury, the middle head cackled a rebounding challenge to the unseen phantom, demanding it to come forth so he could either force it to serve him for his amusement until he deemed its task fulfilled, or simply crush it under his heel and be done with it there. The left head, meanwhile, looked at both of its twins with a broad-eyed look of surprise, before turning back to the horizon. It represented the part of King Ghidorah that wondered something, a thought beginning to fester within his insane mind: why had that cackle sounded so familiar...?

Almost as if it were… … …

Even if the wind had begun to pick back up, it wouldn’t have drowned out the wailing laughter that resounded from places unseen, laughter that made the golden dragon dig his talons into the ground—not in fear, but in a different sort of anticipation. A flash of lightning spread like a fissure across the hellish storm clouds—and highlighting a huge shape moving within them, sculpted in a design that sent chills through Ghidorah’s three necks all the way down to his two tails. And what made such an already ominous sight even more haunting, the lightning wasn’t stopping; smaller flashes kept going off, prolonging the illumination of the being moving about in the clouds. And it was moving in Ghidorah’s direction, following forth on his demand seconds ago.

Six orange eyes glimmered with barbaric insanity, shining like cosmic lanterns through the remnants of the thunderclouds that lay in his way; clouds and lightning alike that were soon parted by another powerful flap of his great wings. Those fan-like tapestries carried a bronze body stacked with metallic-textured muscle. Strong legs ending in vicious claws trailed relaxingly as the new dragon flew, just in front of two spiny tails. Three necks like scaly tree trunks ended in narrow dinosaurian skulls bearing their own crowns of golden horns, wailing with demented laughter through narrow jaws lined with vicious teeth. A mirror to the One Who was Many emerged from the cloak of vapor that composed of the ugly clouds, fixing the golden hydra with his own psychotic gaze the moment he was in eye’s view.

The newcomer crowed a series of cackles that matched Ghidorah’s own in volume even from a distance, and two of the latter’s heads frowned in fury while the left tilted its head in both surprise and curiosity. Two thirds of the xanthic hydra’s mind immediately felt egotistically threatened by the presence of what he instinctively felt was another world destroyer, but there was that one third that couldn’t help but register the shock value this occurrence had: there existed another three-headed world killer of his like.

But that wouldn’t be the only surprise on the plate… … …

The bronze hydra began to lower his flying altitude as he rapidly began to near his golden lookalike. Every beat of his wings was felt in the air like the tremors of a small earthquake, carrying an aura of power great enough to make entire planets tremble with him—and tremble the earth did when his tri-taloned feet finally made contact with the once-fertile ground. The newcomer was smaller than the One Who was Many in height, but in this stare-off of draconic heavyweights, size didn’t matter; this bronze wyrm held a frightening mood of strength seemingly coinciding with that of the great Monster Zero. Even by looking at one another, both were hit with the feeling that they were evenly matched.

The Death Song of Three Storms spread his gargantuan wings and reared all the way up to his peak height. Heads raised and snouts pointed towards the sky, his three mouths gaped to cackle forth a rebounding call demanding one thing: subjugation. Enslavement. Bringing the newcomer to his knees, forcing him to serve the golden hydra for his own entertainment, make him hunt and kill everything for his amusement. A vocal display of what should’ve been obvious superiority… … …

… … ...which fell flat on its face when the bronze dragon bore three toothy grins before laughing psychopathically to the sky.

King Ghidorah almost visibly jolted at this insolent display. The right head drooled like a starving carnosaur as it gritted its fangs so hard they nearly broke; the middle head narrowed its eyes offendedly, gurgling a savage hiss at the newcomer. This was an insult! A bell-like bark leaped from its jaws, violently promising that he would turn his adversary’s laughter into screams by the next minute. The left head, meanwhile, raised an eyebrow as it looked at its twin, then back at the copper-scaled hydra; that small part of King Ghidorah that wondered if what he was planning was really the right thing to do. This beast had just resisted his Alpha Call. Laughed it off like a funny joke. Did that mean this creature was plain foolish, not to mention stupid… … ...or well and truly powerful? Because for something to be strong enough to laugh in the face of the Almighty’s command?

The left head ever so slightly curled the back of its lip, representing the tiny part of Ghidorah that began to grow begrudgingly nervous.

But in the end, that little part of the destroyer was now and always overshadowed by the larger portion of his thoughts: the part that wanted to slaughter the beast before him. The prideful part of him that wanted here and now to prove that there was only enough room in the universe to house one existential destroyer. To prove that there was only room for one king. And quite literally, those conflicting thoughts manifested themselves into visibility when the middle head growled at the left before tugging on its horns with its teeth, chittering at it to get it back in the conflict.

He who stood from across the golden dragon, grinned before spreading his own wings to their full span, cackling demonically to the sky. The Living Extinction Machine widened four of his six eyes, while the right head’s broadened just enough to deepen its already savage glare. Even the chaotic insanity that comprised King Ghidorah’s mind understood EXACTLY what that had meant, and it took a full thirty seconds for him to fully comprehend the shock of it. That was before his left and middle faces contorted into vicious scowls as he allowed what he had just heard to seethingly infuriate him.

This lookalike had just demanded subjugation of him.

The clouds far above began to rain as the wind began to kick back up to its full, furious might; the storm was brewing at full strength once more. King Ghidorah’s tails shuddered furiously like the rattlesnakes of the far future, and his right head bayed a bell-like holler of longing rage, thick with the venomous desire to rip this draconic doppelganger to pieces. That was it. That had been the final insult. No more display, no more playing around. It was time to get to the damn point and throw down, here and now. Pawing the desolate ground underneath him, the One Who was Many dropped low and straightened himself out, screaming for blood; a sound that was replied with an equally powerful cackle from the opposing destroyer as they both charged at one another with murderous intent. And this made the bronze dragon smile.

As if he had wanted this from the very start.

Take a look at the survey results on the main site before reading this.
Spoiler:
The earth and heavens shuddered before the might of the two gods. The skies looked as though blood stained them from horizon to horizon. Humanity watched on as the battle to determine its fate raged on like two colliding storms, neither outcome except both storms somehow ripping each other apart bearing good news.

A heavy crashing of flesh on organic armor rang out, followed by the dragging of two colossal feet shoved through concrete. The beast coated in brown plates of impenetrable material bellowed mightily, saliva and tainted air spraying forth from a maw of needle-like teeth. Hateful eyes locked on to the blazing orange lights of his foe’s gaze, who lowered his smoking fist. The leviathan in violet armor replied with his own roar, his spines glowing the color of the sun as immense levels of energy raced to his mouth. The crown of horns atop the demon’s skull crackled with electricity in return, his mouth resembling a portal of harsh azure.

Miles away, a colossal weapons platform shuddered as a gun of immense scale moved into firing position. Its dish-shaped barrel began to fill with dark energy, lightning spewing forth as a sphere as black as the void was forged through processes a team of geniuses would struggle to even begin to explain.

An ultra-ancient colossus turned into a creature beyond gods by the madness of a cruel mind seeking dominion over creation. The king of the monsters, hyper-evolved into a state such that comparing it to his normal capabilities was like comparing a star to a candle. And a weapon designed by human hands to break the limits of the fundamental rules of the universe.

The next few seconds would be the most important moment in human history.

With a deep, droning bellow that echoed through the souls of all its listeners, the Dimension Tide fired its projectile, light warping as the miniature black hole was launched like a bullet. Super Godzilla and Bagan fired their respective beams at once, which collided between them to form an orb of surging energy that resembled a star on the verge of exploding.

The two were so focused on each other that they failed to notice the third party, until the sphere of their combined power was pried apart and sucked away. Their eyes turned towards the source, widening for the fraction of a second before it collided with them both.

Everything became white. A piercing, brilliant white that went on forever and overpowered all thought while it existed. It could have lasted for ten million millennia or for a second, it would not have mattered, for time had no meaning within this.

But all things must fade…

***

His eyes slowly opened. A low groan echoed from his maw as sunlight fell upon his charcoal colored body. He was no longer in that odd state. Had it all been a dream?

The instant after he had this thought, pain coursed through his form. It had been all too real.

Godzilla began to arise, his weary body aching as thick muscles flexed to push himself up to his feet. Another groan left the cat-like mouth of the monster king. Dorsal spines rustled as he stood tall, glinting in the sunlight. The leviathan observed his surroundings, finally realizing he found himself on a beach.

It was… tranquil.

Waters calmly swayed with the winds, the songs of birds echoing out. His developed eyes saw strange creatures he did not recognize running about on the beach, more colorful and vibrant than the ones he was used to. A nearby forest also rustled with life. Yet more danced about within the waves, things that resembled the creatures he knew and others that could not be more different.

Bright red fish leapt from the waters, pursued by stocky, jagged sharks, only for those sharks to be chased away by bright blue serpents bellowing at them. Yellow and black insects the size of people chased a group of purple monkeys, swinging through the trees with their tails, which bore what resembled hands.

For a moment, he remembered a past life, when he was much smaller. A time when he was not a monster, watching the smaller lifeforms of his home island carry out their daily routines as did his.

He felt good, peace in his heart for the first time in a long time.

Only to soon be reminded why those days were long past.

The creatures began to cease their actions, looking towards him. He heard their growls, some backing away as others drew closer. Godzilla knew full well what this was. He knew aggression all too well, and what it bore.

Godzilla’s tail slammed into the ground, as he let loose a powerful roar. His pain had already subsided by this point, so he was ready to prove why none should trifle with him. This made most of the inhabitants retreat, but some refused to do so. He took notice as, from the waves, one of the blue serpents raised itself high. It let loose a roar of its own, its maw glowing bright.

***

Far away, a trainer watched with wide, terrified eyes through binoculars as the Gyarados unleashed a stream of glowing, orange energy upon the strange entity. The Hyper Beam blazed into the colossus’ thigh, kicking up large quantities of smoke. When the attack faded, it appeared that the strange being that had suddenly materialized on the beach minutes ago was completely, utterly unharmed.

The spines upon its back flashed blue as it turned towards the attacker, its jaws parting to unleash a pillar of azure energy into the ocean. The offending Pokémon was vaporized, as were dozens more Gyarados in the process. Cruel light continued to shine from its spines as more rays of death spewed forth, turning water into vapor, and soon sand into glass. Screams rose from the cacophony of explosive desolation as the forest was set upon next, the unknown colossus refusing to relent in its rampage.

In a matter of moments, all was silent except for the winds and crackling of flame. Ash spewed out from the inferno, dancing in a macabre display as the aberrant leviathan marched forth. The trainer dropped their binoculars and ran in a desperate hurry, reaching for their pocket. Grasping a small sphere, one half white and the other red, they clicked the button on its front as they threw it before them. Out from it came a blue dragon, with flat, sharp wings that were a deep shade of red. The Salamence growled as he immediately noticed the anomaly in the distance, but his trainer was immediately upon his back, commanding him to fly.

The dragon heard the distant cries from his kin, and part of him demanded they go forth and assail the destroyer. Another roar rolled across the landscape from the leviathan, leading the Salamence to bury his righteous anger in favor of the desire to survive. He would accomplish as much as a child challenging an apex predator, and be crushed as swiftly and mercilessly.

With the beat of his wings, he took off into the skies, following his orders to move towards the nearest city. The word of the destroyer needed to be spread as far and wide as the skies, or else death would simply eat its fill and more.

Been having a hard writing/editing block recently, but this was a bit I had written the day before... And, well, here ya go. ;)
Spoiler:
…But was it meant to be continued this way?

Bolstering a charge, Godzilla commanded his fellow compatriots into war. A reverberating blast of air that sung the arrival of the King, his heavy footfalls shook the land of the rising sun. They were on a mission, a herculean task like no other; to slay the devil of the world, the champion of darkness. Anguirus honked alongside his life-long comrade and companion, his fiery eyes steadfast and almost eager to face the impossible odds. Rodan flew overhead, spearheading towards the inevitably gruesome battlefield that awaited them. King Caesar, Gorosaurus, Gomora, and Titanosaurus shrieked in unison against this genocidal menace that threatened their world–their home.

But among all the rumbling of titanic feet, a distinct set began to settle as the rest sped on ahead.

Licking his salivating jaws, Baragon began to have reservations. His hunger had caught up with him, which was what drove him to follow the demands of Godzilla. Maybe he wasn’t cut out for this; perhaps he’d sit this out and wait until the moment was right. Patting the soil with his brazen claws, Baragon began to shuffle until he carved a tunnel, vanishing into the depths of the subterranean lair he was more comfortable with. Embraced by the warmth of the Earth, Baragon would wait… Until the time was nigh, whenever that would be.

Noticing the falling back, Anguirus barked if they should retrieve their missing ally. Godzilla snorted, ignoring the query. Maybe Baragon was already on it; more importantly, they had a mission to complete. Their stampede accelerated, preparing to storm the battlefield, the burning rage of the fearsome Godzilla focused squarely at the ultimate challenge that laid ahead. That was, until a glimpse caught the corner of Anguirus’ peripheral. Pitter-patter explosions from the human machines bombarded another target off in the distance, including a barrage of ionized plasma Anguirus recognized as from the war machine, Moguera.

The question was, what is it?

The unidentified object silhouetted against the darkened sky, like a pitch-black sarcophagus. Looming at a distance, the maser and missile barrage were simply repelled by a vague light that glinted off its form. It ignored them at first, hovering over the earthen land in an almost motionless fashion. Then, a flash emanated from its visage.

Moguera and whatever forces were dispatched to intercept the threat were annihilated in an explosive blast that rocked the Earth.

The quaking ground vibrated under their monstrous feet, throwing the charging island denizens off their equilibrium. The bright purple sheen radiated from a distance, as the expanding explosion conformed into a streak of light, one that surged high into the sky. A cross manifested at the peak of the explosive blast, reducing all caught in its fireball, atomized to nothing. If the earthquake failed to knock the monsters over, then certainly the ensuing shockwave would more than do the trick. Even the mighty airborne Rodan, who was far ahead of his allies, wavered under the tremendous turbulence.

The mighty king of the monsters was the first to rise to his feet, changing his focus from the legendary demon to this invasive intruder. Collecting his atomic might, Godzilla heralded a war cry to the casket-shaped entity. It turned to face Godzilla, almost instantaneously. Without a glimmer of fear, charcoal lips parted back as the nuclear leviathan discharged a powerful stream of blue radiance, compacted and unswaying against the mountain winds as it speared for its target. The swirling blue ray sped past over forests and rivers to meet with this alien visitor, but never would it get the chance to make its mark. The skull-like face flashed from its optic caverns, followed by a thin streak that intercepted the atomic ray. Such precision paid off, as the thin beam of light displaced the radioactive lance and reduced it to mere flames.

In a second, Godzilla felt something enter his open maw–then the next, all was white. Anguirus’ screams were silenced, Gorosaurus couldn’t even utter a pained cry, nor Titanosaurus for that matter. King Caesar and Gomora were overwhelmed by the bright light that scarred their exteriors, reducing them to charred husks of the mighty monsters they once were. In an instant, the Monster Island forces had been eradicated. The entity directed its trajectory back to its original intention.

After the very thing it sought.

Spoiler:
Pangea

250 million years ago

The world had changed.

The mother sun cast her rays through a sky that flared with a primal red glow, unto a world that bore no shadows. Once upon a time, towering floral giants rose towards the sky to cover the land in vast expanses of forest; some were primitive trees, while others were more closely related to ferns. Rivers once cut through kingdoms of sand, rock and wetland forest alike, hosting a wide plethora of the most bizarre and beautiful life imaginable. Amphibians the likes of which one could not imagine once leaped from the rivers to catch insects grand and diminutive alike, but sometimes only to fall prey themselves to strange beasts, large and small. Primitive reptiles of both familiar and alien shape, and equally majestic synapsids that once strode across the earth as the largest and strongest animals on the planet.

So weirdly unique, so wonderfully diverse and widespread these creatures once were…but now, under the hazy light of the red dawn, the rule of millions of species of strange and beautiful animals was but a distant memory. Very little of the original ecosystems that once dotted the Permian landscapes of Pangea remained; not just in plants, but in the noble animals as well. Lakes and rivers had dried off the face of the supercontinent, entire forests had crumpled asunder into death’s embrace. With all the great beasts that had starved and died upon the surface, so too had an unimaginable many in the now-salinified seas. Ash and magmic brimstone lit up the heavens and spewed toxic fumes into the atmosphere, the planet’s wrath rumbling with incessant volcanic activity the likes of which had not been seen since before the dawn of life. Nary a greater mass extinction had ever occurred in the history of the planet; over 90% of what was once living was now lost to the world of the deceased. The Great Dying was over, the Permian Period had ended thousands of years ago.

And yet, even in the face of such worldwide death, life had still persisted.

It had been a great thousands of years since this terrible extinction had left its mark on Mother Earth, and already new life had evolved to counter this primordial new climate. New, bizarre, alien, and genuinely titanic life.

Under the heavens ripe with carbon dioxide, a velvet light coursed through the collective of visual organs of a massive animal. Deep, thunderous clicks chattered from the creature’s toothed jaws, the beast raising her triangular head off the ground as an unmistakable sound reached her ears. Six bony pillars of legs pushed off the ground with remarkable fluidity, despite the creature’s colossal mass. Pointed ridges crowned her back, serving equal parts intimidation display and hardened defense. Tough gray skin covered a body descended from soft-skinned animals; animals that once needed to always keep wet to survive. A truly remarkable feat of evolution that allowed a species to thrive in this environment. The gigantic beast stood quickly to her full unfathomable height, the light of dawn casting the attractive scars that covered her body in its crimson brilliance. The sound she had heard spurred her maternal instincts into action and she galloped, knowing full well the source. Distant, but close enough for her to find it.

It was a single, infantile scream.

Faster the massive unidentified terrestrial organism ran, the desertous earth trembling beneath her heel. Her biological visor was aglow with terror, her nerves alit with more than just radioactivity; her scythed limbs stabbing into the ground, showing their lethal prowess even in her moment of fear. A wailing trill echoed from her jaws, calling out to the source of the scream in begging for a reply, but none came. So the barbed MUTO ran, shaking the post-Permian landscape with her great steps.

Her lungs had just begun to be tested to their limits, when she finally skidded to a cold halt.

A towering juggernaut of strength stood before the eight-limbed temnospondyl, a giant of an entirely different lineage. A colossal reptile that towered over even the MUTO, held upright in a bipedal stance by two columnar legs. A gigantic segmented tail swung behind the beast’s back, of which was laden with three rows of great jagged spines. Yellow eyes pierced the MUTO with a most ferocious gaze, almost seeming to glow in the ever-rising sunlight. But it was what hung limply in the reptile’s bloodstained jaws that seized the female MUTO’s attention: two bleeding, lifeless bodies of MUTO calves.

Her calves.

She could tell by scent alone that they were her own young, not some random infants from another bearer. For a moment she held still, staring only at the limp corpses in utter silence. Then she looked up, meeting the fierce gaze of the Alpha Predator once more, and her instincts began their work in deciding the outcome: fight or flight. Which was it to be? Across from her the saurian juggernaut held just as still, his body posed tall and proud in case a conflict were to arise. Tightly he continued to hold onto the MUTO corpses, unwilling to let his radioactive prizes slide.

After a tense moment, the female MUTO did the only thing she could: she began to back away.

Snorting twin puffs of vapor, the Atomic Monster turned around and began his trek back to whatever place he called home. Carrying with him the two infants that would never see another day of life.

There was nothing else to be done, the MUTO knew. The young were already dead, there was no use risking her own life just to deny the killer his catch; the apex predator had already caught his prey, and predators would not hunt when they weren’t hungry. It hurt to see him take his leave with the bodies of her young, but as long as he departed without any more conflict, there was no more risk to what was most essential and precious to her; no risk to what lay not too far away. Ignoring the departing Alpha Predator, the MUTO began to run along. Following the trail she recognized by scent and sight alike, chattering a call to her familiars… … …and this time, she received a close reply that spurred her on further. Only when the source of the replies grew close in her sights, did she finally slow her advance.

The male MUTO held protectively over the batch of small, frightened calves; himself obviously shaken from the recent experience. Wings still spread defensively, his lengthy limbs quivering slightly, he began to rise upon seeing his mate finally return home with a nervous chitter. Below him, the ten surviving young began to crawl out from beneath their father’s protective posture, greeting their mother with a series of clicks and chitters upon her arrival. Trilling a soft croon to her family, the barbed MUTO lumbered over to her mate who now stood at his full relaxed height, nuzzling him with relief before bending down to do the same with her remaining offspring.

Now the only survivors of what was once a batch of thirty five eggs.

The Queen MUTO chittered mournfully as she looked into the horizon, back in the direction she came. Shaken, melancholic of what had become of two of her young, sorrowful that she had not run fast enough to save them. But in the end, there was nothing she could change; what was done was done. They were dead and would never come back, that was the way of it now. Another day, another loss, another bout for survival in this new radioactive ecosystem. The stronger survived to live another day, the weak perished at the merciless hands of Nature.

Just another day in the first few millennia of the Triassic Period.

The taste of nuclear hemoglobin running through his teeth was indescribably alluring, though amazingly Gojira held it off. The Alpha Predator strode powerfully across the seemingly lifeless terrain, feeling dried dirt and soil crumple beneath his feet with every step. Unbeknownst to the gigantic diapsid, this was the graveyard of a long dried-up river; once a grand sight for the eye to see, home to millions of species of all sizes. Now, it was but a barren desert of cracked dirt, underneath which lay the hidden bones of the river’s equally long-dead inhabitants. However, in a manner much surprising, still there was life that persisted in this dead relic of the past; far beneath Gojira’s notice, small heads poked out of holes and crevices to look upon him with beady eyes and tusked beaks. Survivors of The Great Dying looked upon the saurian monolith nervously, hoping that he would not pay them any mind. Not that the Alpha Predator even cared for their presence, such tiny creatures were but insects to him. Ignoring the dicynodonts that watched him from their burrows, the giant reptile kept lumbering towards his objective.

A low grumble rattled from his vast lungs, traveling miles in but a few seconds due to the extremely low frequencies. Even through the reverberations of his powerful footsteps, the infrasound was felt by sensitive ears wherever it traveled… … …and it didn’t take long before Gojira felt a trembling vibration answer back. Eyes lighting up with fondness, the dorsal-plated predator walked in the direction of the vocalization without falter.

The walk was tedious, but the reward was anything but.

His yellow eyes caught sight of another behemoth of equal appearance to him, lying prone on its belly upon the dry surface. The jagged spines that lined his back also lined hers, a feature typical of their species. And in front of her lay the beautiful result of months upon months of hard work: a circular dirt nest, with two ash-white eggs half-buried within.

The female’s weary head rose up off the ground upon hearing Gojira’s booming rumble, greeting the Alpha Predator with a throaty quake of her own. And then her brows rose upon seeing what her mate carried in his bloodied jaws. With rattling footfalls, Gojira trudged over to his partner, still looking at her with a nervous aura. It had been days since she had last had a meal, and the natural radiation that made up the new Triassic atmosphere wasn’t enough. For days he had tried to find her a prize that could sustain her, but little turned up until today. Even predators of his effectiveness were tested to the limits by the hardships of hunting; the kills he carried with him were a lucky break. More often than not, the prey got away.

He was grateful for a change of pace.

Grumbling with affectionate worry, Gojira tenderly set the MUTO corpses down in front of his famished mate. Taking a moment to nuzzle her partner in gratitude, the female then lowered down to sniff the carcasses, inhaling their sweet scent of radiation. Before long, she bit into one of the bodies to begin her meal; tearing off a great chunk of flesh and swallowing it whole, rinse and repeat, all while her mate watched with satisfied eyes. Every kill could decide the difference between life and death, and this was no exception. He had provided his mate with a suitable meal, and he had eliminated two future competitions for resources before they could become competition in the first place. And above all, he had gotten rid of two potential threats to their unborn offspring. Letting his mate feed on her gift, Gojira knelt down to nuzzle the shelled casings that housed the next generation.

He hoped that the future would yield bigger results for them, but for today this would all do quite nicely.

Panthalassic Ocean

14 months later

When the Great Dying rose to its full terrible intensity, an approximate 96% of all life in the sea choked to death amidst the new terraformed waters. Groups of plants and animals that once dotted these seas for nearly 300 million years, had at last succumbed to a change even they couldn’t adapt to. Much like a great many of the magnificent beasts that once ruled the land, they too were nothing but distant memories now; ghostly echoes of a forever bygone age.

But, in the greatest spit in the face of Death ever seen, that remaining ten percent of life still endures.

A streamlined animal shaped like a torpedo is on the prowl through the salty seas, a true survivor that miraculously withstood the horrific Great Dying and will carry its heritage millions of years into the future: a wondrous cartilaginous fish called a shark. An animal belonging to a legacy older than trees themselves, even now they still hunt through these terraformed oceans. A barbed spine on its back betrayed its identity as a male Hybodus, as well as served as a warning to any large predator that may want to take a bite: I’m poisonous. Do not even think about eating me. Black eyes staring off into the abyss, the shark moved with gentle sways of his tail; his sense of smell peeled for any signs of food, living or dead. And an exciting prize, he homed in on indeed.

A gigantic corpse drifted afloat in the water, six-legged and seemingly arthropodic in nature. But looks could be deceiving, for the beast’s shell had been shattered into ruin and its soft, largely eaten body torn asunder. However, in spite of its tattered state, enough tentacles and a single lone eye remained to tell its identity as a massive cephalopod—a Scylla. Blood and clouds of flesh continued to drift from the ravaged corpse, a state that revealed the unfortunate fate of the leviathan: it had been killed by a larger, fiercer predator. But the killer seemed long gone, and the Hybodus added strength to his tail as he homed in for the feast. The smell of the carcass sent the fish into a feeding frenzy; darting into the softer insides of the dead animal’s wounds, the shark bit down upon a whole mouthful of flesh. Then, shaking his head from side to side, he ripped it free before greedily gulping it down whole. But it satisfied him not, and with teeth bared he lunged in to bite down once more, tearing and devouring another meaty bite. Paying no notice to the other Hybodus that had begun to appear out of the watery haze, the shark kept feeding. However, they abruptly scattered upon a vast shadow looming by not far away.

For some scavengers were larger than others.

Yellow eyes fixed the carcass with a focused stare as a serpentine body writhed beautifully through the water, stretching like a river made of glittering scales; scales that almost seemed to glow with a violet hue, as if they were made of amethyst gemstones. Thin veils of skin stretched from her scales like organic quilts, waving from the diapsid’s body in the form of mesmerizing fins normally attributed to fish. Barbeled whiskers trailed from the reptile’s nose, reaching out to feel the deceased Scylla. Taking a moment to turn her head to and fro, looking for other scavengers, the colossal sea serpent saw none and deemed it safe to feed. Sinking her razor teeth into the soft flesh, Tiamat dined on the Triassic calamari with a ferocious relish.

That was, until a shadow of similar size to her suddenly caught her eye.

The shadow was the precursor to the ammonoid’s killer revealing itself, its outline already betraying its identity long before its features became discernable. From the veil, a spiked shell of deep orange exoskeleton broke the surf. Two pitch-black eyes sat on stalks, glaring at the shimmering purple scales of the serpentine scavenger. A segmented tail ended in a wide fan, propelling the gigantic crustacean forward with great pushes of strength. The creature hailed from an equally ancient heritage, and like the resilient sharks his kind too had clung to life amidst the Great Dying. Much like on land, the water was also full of strange colossi—and it was not uncommon for conflict to ensue amongst them.

Across from the giant lobster, Tiamat rose her head above the surf to glower at him with a rumbling bellow. Leering back at her with his eyes above the water, Ebirah raised his huge right claw into the air before smashing it down in a huge splash. Raising his head so that his mandibles were exposed to the air, he screeched a deafening warning to the serpentine scavenger.

But Tiamat would not heed any of it, and simply hissed her own threat back at him.

Raising his claws, Ebirah began to wave them from side to side in a threat display as he and Tiamat began to swim in a slow circle around one another. Hisses, bellows and screeches barked from their jaws as they postured their strength, one occasionally snapping threateningly at the other as they sized each other up. For the time being, the Scylla carcass floated forgotten on the surface as the two giant predators tried to threaten one another out of their sights.

But neither of them was giving in; the corpse was too delectable a prize.

Ebirah shrieked and smashed his larger claw into the water, his anger growing. He had worked too hard to get such a meal, and he would be sharing none of it. Snapping her jaws, Tiamat held her maw agape as she gurgled another threatening bellow in reply. Slow and methodical they were in their movements, but their reflexes were honed to the smallest point; primed and ready to spring at any moment should both refuse to back down. And already the window to do so was shrinking; Ebirah screeched another warning at the serpentine diapsid—his last.

Tiamat bellowed back, craning her neck muscles as she coiled into a striking position.
"William Knifeman! AH! AH! AH!"

And now, Goliath vs. Red King: Round 2.. Now redone after undergoing a serious rewrite.
Spoiler:
Couple days earlier, in the Lawless Monster Zone..

The Skull Monster was sound asleep, once again dreaming of bashing in skulls of his fellow kaiju and leaving their battered bodies in a daze. Red King had another successful day in ruling over his land, driving off any possible competitors who dared try to be top dog on his turf. C-Rex proved no real challenge, and Ts-eh-GO wasn't much of anything either once he realized the stinger proved to be the biggest thing to avoid. The scorpion and the invertebrate still resided in the zone however, but they kept their distance from the green menace that had put them in their place. Chandlar and Magular? Eh, they weren't really anything to him anyway; they acted more of his advisors than anything. Indeed, life was good to Red King, but his dreams gave him even bigger fish to fry…

Rodan and Anguirus layed dead next to him, and the other monsters in his path could barely stand. All that was left to do was finally kill the so-called "King of the Monsters", Godzilla, who was cowering with fear. Still somehow wanting to fight though, the nuclear reptile charged in.. and Red King was ready. Swerving to the left to avoid the assault, the green monster latched on to the giant dorsal plates. With one foul tug, the largest of them were torn off, blood soaking out as the Skull Monster relished in the screams.

Kicking Godzilla away, the plates that remained began to light up, turning blue to red. Like this would do anything. A massive Spiral Ray, in which he proudly puffed out his chest. A loud, whistling noise drove further and further into his eardrums. He was going to take this attack head on-!

And then Red King woke up.

Dammit! And it felt so real too!

Wait a minute.. Why did he still hear a whistling noise?

It couldn't have come from Godzilla. What reason would he even have to come to this place, let alone in the middle of the night? Sitting up, he yawned and rubbed his eyes, letting them adjust as he tried to find out where the sound was coming from.

Soon enough, a light gave him his answer.

A meteor, shooting down from beyond the stars. Red King blinked a couple times, just to make sure that he wasn’t hallucinating and his sanity was being assured as the glowing, green object continued to travel into Earth’s orbit. Its speed continued to accelerate, green light mixing with orange fire as it raced to the ground. The green beast below readied himself, realizing that the space rock had a good chance of landing not too far away from him.. If not on him if he didn’t do anything about it.

The ball glowed brighter, readying itself to punch a hole right into the Earth. Closer, and closer, and closer, until..

*BONG*

Red King jumped a bit at the sound, as if a giant bell was rung in the sky. Suddenly the meteor lost a chunk of its speed as it had wound up crashing into the side of the mountain before it could do anything else. Spiraling over Red King's head, it eventually lowered into the Lawless Monster Zone, before finally crashing into the lake not too far away.

The Skull Monster simply shrugged his shoulders, only to suddenly feel a strange drop in temperature. Knowing for a fact that it was warm just a second ago, he looked up to the sky again, realizing that clouds were rapidly beginning to form and that the stars had been covered up. Flakes began coming down to the ground.. Snow? Strange. It was pretty rare that the Monster Zone had gotten snow to begin with, let alone with the weather it had today. Whatever, he thought, while simultaneously laying back down and drifting off. It would all be gone by the morning..

Now, on the Present Day..

Red King couldn’t take all of this snow anymore!

This should’ve gone away the night it started; but now it had gone on for a full week. The snow had continued to pile up, and now almost the entire Lawless Monster Zone was coated white as an albino animal. All this because a stupid asteroid happened to strike? It wasn’t that Red King was one that hated cold weather, but he knew what it meant for food around here as well. Things he prayed on started to go into early hibernation, and it was becoming more and more scarce. He’d probably have joined them if he had his stomach full before he went to sleep.

Currently though, there was one thing on his sights for food right now: a fresh batch of crab legs. A lone Ganimes was sitting around, quite obviously freezing from the low temperatures. If he could get hold of that, he’d have more than enough food to get him through the storm! The world around the two of them was almost pure white in itself, so if he could play his cards right and get the drop on it..

The massive crab wasn’t one that had supersonic hearing, which made it a bit upset in a way. It was currently trying to find its way back to the ocean, and swim away to warmer lands. It wasn’t aware of the massive reptile slowly marching right towards it. Red King’s path was steady, as he started licking his lips at the great feast he was going to have. It was all going according to plan..

Then he slipped on some ice.

Barely stopping himself before he fell flat on his face, his ploy was pretty much doomed. Suddenly Ganimes turned back, seeing the Skull Monster on his knees, the two of them staring awkwardly at each other. Cover blown, Red King realized he was pretty much out of options.

So he leapt forward, hoping it would end well… It didn’t.

It started well. His teeth sunk right into Ganimes’ neck, drawing blood; while his claws dug into the crabs’ softer underbelly, not really worried about the much harder shell. But not too long after, he found himself yelping as giant pinchers snapped at his tail, while a massive burst of foam was vomited right at his face.. At incredibly low temperatures no less. Yelling even louder as the foam turned to ice, Ganimes scurried away.

Bashing at his own body to break off the chunks of ice that had formed, Red King looked where Ganimes just was.. And found out he was gone. Completely disappeared into the snow.

Eye twitching, the powerful lizard began jumping around and shouting like a toddler. Enraged, he kicked a rock high into the air, but not before he once again slipped on the ice, his back crashing onto the ground as he went into a daze.

Unknowingly to him, however, the rock had crashed straight through the ice that had covered the lake where the meteor had struck.. And it also hit something else.

***
Hidden beyond what the eyes could see below the depths, the meteor acted as the resting ground for what was actually inside. An extraterrestrial lifeform that had come down to Earth years ago and had finally made his grand return. No longer would his embarrassing loss to that hippo monster play on a constant loop in his mind. This time, he would have his revenge. Goliath would have his day!

He could imagine it now. He’d have the brown, tubby monster on the ropes, the land around him being covered with ash. His hands raised high like a mad gorilla, planning to smash them down onto his skull with a colossal-!

*Bump*

Goliath’s eyes suddenly jutted open as he felt something hit his ship. He felt pieces of rock begin to crack, and a sudden splash of water hit his back shell.. It seemed like the meteor broke open.

Oh, what was the big deal? It was time to wake up anyway! There was an entire world for him to destroy out there, and now was the time to start. Moving his arms and legs, the space rock began to peel away more and more, before finally forming a massive split right down the middle as the blue Starbeast roared out from the depths and into the ice covered sky. It was time to enact some revenge..

***
Once again on the move, Red King continued to stare at the tracks Ganimes left behind. One good thing about the snow was that it pretty much made tracks even easier to find. Combine that with his sense of smell, and he’d have his meal back in his hands in no time.

Suddenly though, he felt the temperature take an oddly sudden turn. He suddenly stopped seeing his breath, and the world around him became more clear. The blizzard had stopped just as suddenly as it started.

… And for some reason, that worried him.

It could mean that.. Whatever was controlling the snow storm was finally done messing around. No longer playing games. The cause of the freak weather could very well finally be stepping out of the shadows, and he had to prepare for it. He wasn’t even aware that the lake had begun to form an eerie glow..

Ganimes, who was closer to the river, did. Wounds still oozing blood, he saw the ever increasing blue energy that crackled to life. C-Rex and Ts-eh-GO, both coming around the mountain and freeing itself from underground respectively, also saw the massive powerful begin to form. Waves of electricity moved along the current like an eel.

Then the ice began to crack.

Suddenly the entire surface exploded, as a massive brown hide rose up from the depths. Followed by a massive blue head, and a glowing horn. A full blown, 100 meter tall, 60,000 ton beast rose up with a high pitched, growling roar. Goliath had risen again!

Already, he eyed the three odd looking monsters before him. Rather small, superbly weak looking things. Did they really want to mess with him? Ganimes sure seemed like it would. Not even bothering with its own injuries, the overgrown crab continued to squeal and snap its claws, getting ready to fight once more.

Goliath simply stared with a bored expression…

And with a quick strike of lightning, Ganimes was fried. Completely charred; and 100% dead. And that alone was enough to get the other two kaiju in the area to leave.

Roaring out to the sky and throwing his massive arms around like a roided gorilla, Goliath felt happy. Already he had single handedly proven his dominance on this land, and already gotten some food while he was at it. Who else could possibly even bother to challenge him?

His question was answered by a rock thrown right onto his shoulder, followed by a rather high pitched sounding roar.

Yelping because of the sudden attack, Goliath turned around while simultaneously rubbing his shoulder. A green, reptilian beast was coming around the hill, roaring out in challenge.. Red King. And he was NOT happy. First he had to deal with a freak blizzard, and now this blue bastard was barging into his home and striking lightning everywhere?! Yet again the Skull Monster roared, demanding that Goliath leave the Lawless Monster Zone immediately. And yet, not one to listen to orders from a complete bully (ironic, considering he’s quite the bully himself), Goliath roared back in response, refusing to back down.

The standoff continued for several minutes, until Red King suddenly looked at something next to the Killer Starbeast.. And smelled it as well. A freshly cooked kaiju that had its insides burnt, yet not too burnt. Just enough to the point it was edible, ignoring the shell that it had on it back-

Wait, was that the Ganimes he was planning on eating?!

Realizing that the green monster in front of him was planning on going after his own kill, Goliath quickly eyed his meal, then growled at the kaiju that planned to catch it for himself. He had just started to pull it to the side, but the moment he did.. Red King had snapped his last nerve. The blue, extraterrestrial being barely had any time to react when the Skull Monster jumped off the hill, and immediately raced for the Ganimes in front of him. Pulling the crab away faster by the claws, Red King still managed to get the fresh meat by the rest of its lower body. Tugging away all of their might, they also continued to snap at each other with their jaws, yet never getting close enough to actually bite one another.

But as they continued to tug, the looser Ganimes’ poor, broken body became. Further and further both halves of his body split, until..

*RRRRRIP*

It split in two. Both halves flew into the air, until they finally came crashing to the ground in a rather bloody mess.

The two of them looked awkwardly at each other for a moment, but Goliath then simply shrugged. Surely there would be tons of other food to eat somewhere around here. He’d give the monster in front of him no mind and simply keep looking-

.. But then a rather demonic growl cut him off on that thought.

Once Goliath looked at Red King, he could already see the fire in his eyes, with the green beast feeling a burst of anger only the greatest of his foes could bring out of him..

How dare this blue monstrosity ruin his DINNER?!

Just like that, he leapt forward, tackling Goliath and biting right into his left shoulder, with the alien monster roaring out in pain. Suddenly, the horned monster formed a glare that could kill. NOW he was mad. In quick retaliation, he reeled his free fist back, and struck it right into Red King’s head, knocking the green beast back and right onto the ground. The Giant Terror started to laugh at his foe, still thinking that this wouldn’t be much of a challenge at all.

The Skull Monster, now spitting out a loose tooth, decided to prove his enemy wrong.

Now it was Goliath’s turn to charge in, but Red King was ready. Grabbing the blue monster by the arms, the two of them continued to wrestle as they forced each other around, the battle going deeper into the jungles of the Lawless Monster Zone..

Meanwhile, Ts-eh-GO, now coming out of the ground seeing that both monsters were going elsewhere, decided to just take the meal they were fighting over into his own claws. Grabbing both sides of Ganimes’ cooked corpse, he took it underground, knowing that this would feed him and the Second Wave for months to come.

Trailer for an ambitious match that I definitely should not be doing alone.
Spoiler:
For the first time in years, the Azumi Princess was afraid.

She sat alone in the ancient temple, only illuminated by the candles sitting beside her. In front of her, a statue of her god stood, its indifferent expression doing little to calm the princesses nerves. Weeks ago, the neighboring coast of the city Kyoto had been attacked by a malevolent entity, killing thousands in a flash and reducing the great city to flames. Her father had left with the Military of the Ryukyu Kingdom to assist their neighbors in eliminating the threat.

It was useless.

Within minutes, both great armies were snuffed out by the uncaring monstrosity. Falling stars and white lights heralded death as the once mighty alliance was now nothing more than ash, merging their remains with the old city. Spies had been set up all around, in both the city and on the island. With them, she learned of the Titan’s name.

Bagan

The princess knew the monster wouldn’t stop at Kyoto. It would destroy everything until it reached Okinawa. She didn’t know what to do. She knew her guardian would rise up and defend her homeland, but even she believed that his strength, however mighty it may be, would not be enough to defeat the demon.

Atleast, not alone.

The princess jumped out of her seat, having an epiphany. Her idea was crazy enough that it actually had a chance of working. But was it the right choice? Many of the people she wanted to communicate with had bad ties with Okinawa, particularly the ocean kingdom. She didn’t even know if they would trust her. But, if she wished to defend Okinawa, and the whole world, she would have to do this. She rushed out of the ancient temple, the candles illuminating the room being blown out by the increasing wind. Despite the flames dying out, the statue's eyes glowed red with rage. The princess ordered advisors to be sent to all of the kingdoms and races of Japan to meet at once.

And thus, in only a few short days, they had converged.

Sitting at a round table, Emperor Antonio of the Seatopians sat in his royal garb, staring daggers at the princess. The Azumi heir quickly averted her eyes to the Empress of Mu, her design and appearance showing all too well her royalty. Opposite of her, Princess Yuna of the Nilai Kanai sat, glaring at the king of Atlantis, who returned her cold gaze with a stare of his own. On the table, the Shobijin stood, seated on their Fairy, an avatar of their great guardian. Even the Underground People, who had once had their own great monster, were here, dressed in all black to avoid the sun, which was deadly to their people. In the very middle of the convergence of kingdoms was the heir of the Yamato Dynasty, Yamato Takeru. He clenched his sword, a reminder of the great struggles he once faced. With all of the leaders here, the Azumi Princess felt ready to begin the conference.

“I take it you have all been informed on why I have called you?”

And now, a trailer for Obsidius vs. Krystalak vs. Bagan: Round 2!
Spoiler:
The Xilien leader watched intensely as he saw the mass slaughter begin to take place in the city down below, teeth gritting so hard he felt like one of them was going to snap off and break. Recently, the Earth had gone under another alien attack once again, many different alien races trying to claim the planet as theirs, a sudden and shockingly powerful shower of crystal energy had rained down upon the entire globe, radiating with incredible power that everyone wanted for themselves. No sooner than that did X get to work, getting his army together while simultaneously getting some of Earth’s monsters under his own control. He promised himself that this would be the day! THIS is where the Xiliens would finally rule the world!

And it was going almost perfectly.. Save for one rather big blunder that constantly seemed to foil his plans. And it wasn’t Godzilla this time. No, this monster was one that was much different than him, but one that wound up making X’s blood boil all the same. The ancient, draconic “God of Darkness”, that sought to kill anything and everything in his sight..

Bagan.

For the last two weeks now, the dragon was constantly after the Xilien forces, and no matter how many monsters he sent after him, the powerful beast always came out on top! Even now, after sending a whole herd of twenty M.U.T.O’s right in the Super Monsters’ path. TWENTY! And yet, all but two had fallen. Deep down in his mind, he prayed that the last team of the remaining male and female would be enough to overwhelm the horned beast, but he knew for a fact that wish wouldn’t come true. Still, he kept his eyes peeled on the screen, barely even blinking at all.

Bloodied, battered and bruised, the female M.U.T.O struggled to stand in the ruined state of Luxor, Egypt. The male, right by her side and incredibly angered, ran right back to the smirking Bagan. Arms outstretched, he suddenly extended the claws on his hand, the brown colored objects shaped like knives, ready to stab right into the parasite’s throat. The M.U.T.O, however, was ready. Beating his wings, he dodged near death itself as he continued his incoming assault, bellowing to the dragon as he prepared to sink his teeth into the evil being’s neck. However, Bagan wouldn’t let that happen. The massive growth on his shoulders glowed with power, as he prepared another round of Diamond Storms, all of the blue projectiles aimed at his enemy. Just as fast as they launched, the poor M.U.T.O’s left wing was basically shredded to ribbons. Roaring out to his foes, Bagan stepped toward the male while simultaneously watching as the female raced in to save her remaining ally.

Seeking to take care of this quickly, Bagan moved his claws back in place, then raised his right hand. Just as the female began to strike her hooked appendage down, the God of Darkness grabbed her by the throat. The male tried to strike again as well, successfully climbing up the dragon’s body and wrapping his own limbs along his body, but it was no good. Shaking wildly, Bagan threw the male off him like an angry bull, while the female continued to choke in his clutches. Using his other arm and holding it over her head, with one sickening twist, he instantly snapped her neck, death being instant. Hearing the still defiant calls of the male behind him, Bagan turned around. Getting up with a limp, he saw the much smaller creature still look at him with angry eyes, ready to fight to the end.

And the end he shall bring.

Charging up nothing more but pure, blue, fiery energy building up in his maw, Bagan then fired a monstrous Plasma Beam. Still howling in defiance, the male M.U.T.O’s last cries were overshadowed by the sparks that were set off once the beam made impact, followed by a massive explosion that raised so high it was for all of Luxor to see. With a grin on his face and feeling proud of himself for once again trampling over all of his foes, Bagan’s signature roar raised itself up to the sky, letting the entire world know that the God of Darkness had come up victorious once again.

X’s eyes only twitched before the inevitable happened.

“.... NGAAAAAGH CURSES, CURSES, CURSES, CURSES!! WHY WON’T THIS DAMN THING JUST DIEEEEEEEEEEE!?”

Taking a moment to catch his breath, X simply continued to stare at the monitor again, bloodshot eyes never leaving Bagan’s form. “This.. this thing keeps destroying all of our forces! And I can’t keep sending monsters after him alone, we have an entire world to take over for crying out loud! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW-!?”

But suddenly, a signal ran across the Xilien mothership. Where the monitor was first was recording the battle between Bagan and the M.U.T.O herd, now came in the form of a familiar, silver logo amongst a purple backdrop, which told X only one other alien race could’ve possibly sent it.

“A message from the Vortaak?.. Peculiar. Alright then, I want that call answered!”

Almost on cue, the rest of X’s pose let the live message play. At first, static covered the screen, but eventually, the being who had sent the message revealed himself. A silver, red eyed man wearing a helmet and an odd, patterned vest; purple gloves covering his hands. A smile plastered the Vortaak leader’s face before he spoke.

“Greetings, Xiliens.” He started. “For simplicity's sake, you may call me “Vega”. And I have come for a proposition for you all today..”

Perplexed, X simply stared back at his minions for a bit, all of them simply shrugging in response. Realizing that it would probably be best to respond, X decided to do exactly that. “Eh, alright. But make it quick, I’m having monster trouble over here and-!”

“Yes, the Vortaak kind is very aware of the troubles you have been having with Bagan.” Vega suddenly responded. “We’ve been trying to ignore some of Earth’s stronger monsters in order to take our plan into action without further issues.. Alas, we wound up awakening two new monsters in the process, both seemingly created by the sudden, crystal onslaught. Observe.”

Suddenly, the screen had become something else entirely, showing what appeared to be an analysis of two monsters the Xiliens had never encountered before. The first one was a white, cat-like creature with a massive carapace, packed to the brim with purple, spiked crystal growth, along with what also appeared to be a beard of crystals laced around his face. The other was what seemed to be a lava monster, the volcanic beast lacking a face beyond nothing more but a massive mouth. Rock that came in the form of “horns” in the back of its head gave it a bit more flare, alongside a forked tail that slithered like a snake. The Xiliens gasped as they saw the two commit mass amounts of destruction on both human and Vortaak forces, spewing beams and mercilessly stomping down other kaiju that came into their path.

“These two beasts we found after trying to grab some of the power crystals from under the Earth’s core from two separate locations.” Vega continued. “It seems as if both of them were.. created by the crystals somehow, merging with both the Earth’s minerals and lava system respectively, the resulting collision of energy wound up giving birth to these monsters. The earthlings have given them the name of “Krystalak” and “Obsidius”.. And they’ve destroyed our forces constantly. We assume they’re after our energy that is stored inside our ships.”

X continued to watch on, in awe of both monster’s fighting capabilities. If he could have something like that in his army-

“So, it is with a bit of our pride destroyed, that we ask for your assistance.” Vega began to conclude. “If you can give us at least some of your army to help with Obsidius and Krystalak, we will help you in return, in the form of taking care of Bagan.”

“Well, I would give you some aid, but what would be the point?” X said. “Bagan constantly follows us wherever we go! The moment we even try to send some of our equipment and monsters over to where Obsidius and Krystalak are, that damned dragon would be there in an instant! And the moment that happens, we have all three monsters… on.. Our hands…”

Vega found himself puzzled as X’s look went from angered to questioning in almost an instant, the Xilien leader clearly moving the gears around his mind…. Before he suddenly chuckled and grew a cheshire cat’s grin.

“Where are you getting at?” Vega asked with some anger in his voice, causing X to look at the screen with the same, smiling glare.

“Don’t you see? We have three monsters on our trails, but once we bring our forces together, they’ll get together! And once we have the three of them fight each other instead of us..”

Vega smirked. “Then we’ll kill three birds with one stone!.. But wait, what of the victor? We can’t just assume that bringing the three of them together will automatically mean that they’ll simultaneously kill each other, no? If one or more of them still stand at the end of it all, we’ll still have them to deal with, and it doesn’t seem like Krystalak or Obsidius can be put under our mind control waves.”

“Bagan doesn’t seem affected by our way of mind control either, but that’s mostly just because he doesn’t have an M-Base inside of his genome.” X replied while going through the analysis of Krystalak and Obsidius once more. “But, digging through these files you showed us.. AHA! It seems like there’s some M-Base in their DNA after all! And if Bagan is weakened enough by both of them, your mind waves should be able to best him. Get some of your forces together and send those two monsters to Bagan’s location, then we’ll watch the results for ourselves!”

While knowing it was still a rather risky move all things considered, Vega knew that the need to get both Obsidius and Krystalak off his shoulders hung on his shoulders above everything else at the moment.. And if he needed to team up with a different invading race in order to get rid of them? Well….. So be it.

“Very well then, we accept your proposal! Obsidius is in Turkey, while Krystalak is in Iraq. We shall bring them both into Egypt to battle with Bagan in the next couple of hours.”

“And we’ll have Bagan walk right into the trap!” X exclaimed. “We’ll have the meeting point be in Cairo. The minute all three of them lay eyes on each other, they’ll do all of our heavy work, and we’ll profit from what remains! We’ll be the most unstoppable team the entire universe has ever seen! I’ll even allow you to gain some of our technology to help fix up your homeworld.”

“Alright then, the operation is to be enacted immediately. I most certainly look forward to joining forces, X. May victory be in our favor!”

Just like that, Vega had cut the feed, the footage going to static.. The audio, on the other hand?

“Hmph. Who does he think he is, thinking our homeworld needs “fixing?””

“.. I still hear you.”

“Wait, this thing’s still on!? I TOLD YOU FOOLS TO TURN IT OFF!” Vega exclaimed, hearing the laughs of the Xilien commander as he sighed, sitting down on his chair.

“.. Idiots.”

Re: KWC TRAILERS!

Another trailer fresh from the oven.
Spoiler:
Black clouds flooded the skyline as the once bustling city of Osaka now burned. In just an hour, the capital of the Osaka Prefecture was a ghost town. Broken buildings lined with debris intermingled with the corpses of innocent civilians to make a horrific sight as the raging invader mercilessly toppled structures. The military had tried to stop the attackers, to perhaps give the citizens a shred of hope, but ravenous shockwaves and lasers of yellow and green put an end to the measly resistance. As the creature and spacecraft stopped to marvel at his work, the survivors of his wrath finally had a clear view of them. One flew in the air, its silver lining casting a frightening glow through the ravaged Osaka while a gaping hole adorned the right side of the ship. Unlike the craft, the second attacker was a living creature, but not of this world. It’s body ran with a dark gray color, disguising him in the black smoke that rose from the city. Like its ally, it also had a hole through its shoulder, heralding destructive beams of yellow. It was a hunchback, walking with its two stubby legs. To compensate, he was armed with two enormous arms, not unlike that of a Gorilla’s. Each arm was lined with three long claws. Its yellow eyes shone in the darkness, as its crooked mouth opened and let out a screech.

Orga had returned

Whether by a stroke of luck or divine intervention, Orga had survived his encounter with Godzilla in 2000. The remaining Millenians had arrived to help only to find their creation in pieces-literally! With what samples of flesh they could muster, they spent years rebuilding and healing their broken god until finally, Orga had been reborn. With their creation back in working order, the Millenians set a course for Earth, sure that their invasion would succeed today.

But when Orga wished to bring the world to a land of darkness, it was the land of light that challenged him.

Looking up, Orga sensed something, something powerful. The Millenian UFO sensed it as well, turning away from the wreckage of Osaka. Before either of them could identify the incoming arrival, a stream of energy laced with blue and white Spacium struck the Millenian UFO, sending the burning craft crashing to the ground, shockwaves spreading through the city as the craft struck the surface. As Orga recoiled in shock, he watched as the clouds parted and revealed who had attacked him.

Gigantis wrote: Sun Mar 20, 2022 1:40 pm And now, Goliath vs.

Spoiler:

All very solid trailers, definitely looking forward to all of these.
