I think people need to get in the habit of using the terms redesign AND reimagining. Cause that kind of context is important when we look at these designs. This biollante is pretty shit as a REDESIGN, but given its a REIMAGINING within the context of the Tristar film, this design makes sense. Its like how ranking those "shin-insert kaiju name here" designs isnt 100% fair without also considering shin godzilla.

I kinda dig the face, and how the shoulder things are utilized in combat. Tail needs to be longer... much longer. Stance is a little strange as well, and can't really tell what motif the design's adhering to. Undersea creature?

This design is, alright, I much prefer shisa King Ceasar, this design looks like a mule to me personally.

Can't stop mixing up "Folly of Man" and "Man's Arrogance". Both series' designs are reminiscent of sea creatures, plus the names are quite similar in meaning.

Since "Folly of Man" started in late May 2019 and "Man's Arrogance" emerged 2 months later, is it reasonable to assume that the latter was inspired by the former?

The first version of Man's Arrogance was its own thing but the ongoing reboot is absolutely aping Folly of Man.

I feel like if it wasn't facing upwards it would look pretty good, almost like if Gorosaurus went as Godzilla on Halloween.

Whalezilla up there is workable. I'd slim the head down a touch, but the basic shape isn't bad. I actually kind of like that oversized tail, too; looks great for bludgeoning the shit out of things.

The Rose Biollante is awful. Far too cartoonish and completely lacking the disturbing 'abomination' quality that made the original so impactful.

If this were a clone and not a Godzilla I would be more behind it. That imagery can be effective.
