Ugh...always with the universes. Supporting a good movie now is quickly evolving into some weird long-term contract plan. "Like Sonic? Well we'll need the first installment in your commitment to a 10 film Sonic Cinematic Universe"

I remember making jokes about everything being a trilogy in the 00s...and now everything is a shared universe with spin-offs and crossovers and I find myself wishing for self contained trilogies again.

It makes you any better Matt Reeves' The Batman intends to just be a trilogy.

HTTYD and Kung Fu Panda remains as trilogies as well and the former intends to notably stay that way.

Hey guys just me once again. I last watched the movie Sonic The Hedgehog 2.

Probably the most improved sequel over the original since Godzilla: King of The Monsters. A true contender for best video game movie alongside the 95 Mortal Kombat movie.

That was the point. The point of the first was starting off small but still fun with the sequel being bigger and funner.

A perfect example how to do a sequel. I can already tell Sonic 2 will probably be the Shrek 2 of this generation.

Fairly excited for this. I’ve been getting into Sonic around ~October of last year, so I’m definitely anticipating this more than the first one.

To be honest, this was probably the best theater experience I've had. Not the best film (it was a good 8/10) but the literal best experience in the theater. Even beat my opening day screening of No Way Home. The kid screaming "YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS" when the big Eggan robot got the upper hand was pretty funny.

Also, seeing [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] in live-action felt like a dream.

I'm not even a Sonic fan but man Sonic 2 has officially replaced The Batman as my favorite film of this year so far.

It was just that fun!

A perfect example of fun escapism!

Can't wait to see how the third film goes.

If Keanu Reeves isn't cast for the voice of Shadow. They really missed a huge opportunity there.

No one is more perfect for the role but him and no one can change my mind.

So despite the movie not being out yet. Sonic 3 is already in development apparently.

Knuckles is also apparently getting his own spin-off show.

I wonder what happened to that Knuckles Paramount+ show.
