The Vesta Job

Mankind has found a new wealth of metals and ores by establishing a mining operation on the asteroid Vesta. Space X is at the forefront of this operation, and seems determined to control the mining of near earth objects to benefit their company.

Meanwhile, Byron Green, pulls off a job and goes into hiding until things cool off. His gang does the same, but one gets caught by the police. Byron decides to leave the country, but hears from a man who says he can help his friend out of trouble. Byron meets the man, named Justin Hill, owner of another company developing civilian space travel. He wants Byron and his gang to go to Vesta and steal a shipment of ore that will help his company gain an advantage over Space X. Byron agrees, and he and his gang head into space. They make careful plans, but when Byron himself comes under suspicion, he must change them. In the end, they get the ore, and it is discovered that Byron's being made suspect was all part of the original plan.

Byron's arrested friend goes free, and they leave the country for a deserved vacation.

In Absentia, a 1980's Stephen King short story. It was loosely adapted into a 2004 Bollywood film, which retooled it into a satirical drama about legal death fraud rather then a straight horror, where it turns out the friend survived but was declared dead of a tiger attack.

"A town in the 70's gets teleported back to the year 1928 in a bright flash, where the clash in ideals and values of the times leads them to learn valuable lessons about accepting change or whatever. It ends with the same bright flash happening, only this time bringing people from 2018 to it, setting the same premise all over again."

Learning Curve

Phil Mann is a scientist who wants to marry Deana, but her father feels he's not accomplished enough for her, despite Deana telling him she'd be perfectly happy with Phil. A workaholic manager, George, is told by his wife that he needs to spend more time at home. Tod, though, feels he must be a good provider before he can do that.

Phil detects some strange signals one night, and then something incredible happens in the morning; The whole town finds itself in a world with old cars, architecture, and styles. They have gone back in time to the 1920s. The people are shocked by the change, and the cultures do not always get along. Phil does what he can to understand the event, and theorizes some curve in space time may be responsible. As he works to return them to their normal time, Phil and Deana grow closer. Her father objects, but the two finally defy the man and get married. Tod, meanwhile, finding himself out of a job because he can't sell computers, spends time with his family. His sadness is replaced by the enjoyment of playing with his kids and renewing his closeness to his wife.

Phil creates a machine to return them back to the 70s, and a man approaches him. He tells his machine won't work. He draws people, towns, and cities, to this one spot as a way of guiding society and certain people. He returns the town to the 70s, and the father comes to accept Phil. Tod spends more time at home.

The man smiles at his success, and waves his hand over the bare spot. A city from 2018 appears.

SNN (Super News Network is a parody of the superhero genre, directed by James Cameron and starring John Cena as a really bad Superman knockoff. Got pretty okay-ish reviews, but not enough to greenlight an entire cinematic universe like the filmmakers hoped.

Chris Evans, playing himself, cosplays as Captain America in order to stop an invasion of aliens from the andromeda galaxy, while also trying his best to record his lines for a Dreamworks movie.

Get Cap, a action comedy released on YouTube Premium. It was widely panned for being schlock and having barely any Chris Evans( as the plot revolves around his talent agency trying to FIND him to fight the aliens until the last 30 minutes), though Evans's performance was considered a highlight.

Lion Wings: The proof

A paleo expedition in the Gobi is excavating an ancient nesting site when they uncover a mummified corpse that defies explanation. It has a cat like body, but a beak and perfectly preserved wings. They consider that it might be the mythical hybrid Griffin, but not all believe it. When the body arrives at a museum for better examination, they find it has been mutilated, the head and wings removed. As the search is made for the missing parts, egg fragments found near the griffin are found to date to 200 years ago. Meanwhile, we also hear from a group that seeks to protect rare and endangered animals. They know the griffin still lives, and seek to keep the public from having that knowledge that it and others the public might fear or take advantage of exist. In the end, our paleontologists are left with a mutilated body and a dna sample that matches no known species.

Reel Terror 3D, a light gun survival horror game released in 2006. Taking place in rural Kansas, it focuses on sheriff and deputy Bryan Shelton and Andy Takamura the night of the Reel Terror Monster Film Festival. A government convoy accidentally looses an alien device that can create physical constructs of thoughts, and breings many of the movie monsters to life, all spoofing movie monsters throughout history, from the 1920's to the then-present 2000's. Bryan and Andy must survive the night and keep people safe while avoiding the monsters.

Home Sea

Remi is a Nereus, a mermaid like being on Europa. He is gathering medicinal plants when he hears an odd noise. He views a small swimming device, and follows it. It lead him to the surface, where it is retrieved by strange beings on the surface. Remi reports the strangers, and soldiers go to investigate. The soldiers witness the humans having an encounter with a dangerous sea creature, and are shocked to see their heat based weapon. They tell the Hierarch of this. The Hierarch decide to keep it quiet to prevent panic.

Other Nereus learn of the human visitors, and rumors begin to spread. Remi knows of legends of fire beasts, but sees them only as legends. Others are not so rational. There is a an attempt made to contact the visitors, but two members of the greeting party kill the others and blame the visitors. Remi, curious about the visitors, takes his own look. He finds the visitor, Lt. Anderson, cautious but peaceful. She tells Remi that they saw no greeting party. Remi tries to find out what's going on as Gen. Leru makes plans for defense and attack. The Hierarch oppose military action, but Gen. Leru has gained a following. Remi learns that Gen. Leru's men killed the greeting party, and he plans to use the attack on the "invaders" as a stepping stone to power.

Remi and others fear what may happen if Hierarch forces and Gen. Leru's forces cause their society to enter civil war. They seem outmatched, but reach out to other races in the sea. Together, they are able to aide the Hierarch forces and defeat the ambitious general. Remi, seen as the leader of the group, is chosen to greet the visitors. Remi and members of the Hierarch contact Lt. Anderson. She brings her captain to man's first contact with an intelligent alien.

The Scroll
A supernatural horror-comedy film from 1986. The scroll is from Ancient Egypt, and is written in a language similar to but not quire hieroglyphics. The archeologist's unsuccessful attempts at translating and speaking it keep summoning demons much to his obliviousness, who terrorise his student protagonists. What the scroll exactly means is never revealed, as its stolen by agents form a mysterious agency whose symbol is an Eye of Ra, though it is hinted to be something entirely mundane.

Locusterror vs Megacoadon

A 2018 SyFy movie about a Megalodon/Anaconda fighting a old man-locust hybrid from their respective films after a experimental device brings them back, as the scientists of real life and the films try to stop it. It was lauded by b-movies fans for it's self aware and meta tone (a common comparison was "if Scream was a monster movie") but sadly didn't break into wider appeal, ending plans for a trilogy.

Our Moment

Cynthia is at a fundraiser when she meets a man named Frank. He seems nice, and they go out a couple of times, but Cynthia begins to see a side of him she doesn't like. Frank, however, is falling in love. Cynthia then meets an old friend, Paul, and Frank becomes jealous. Trying to impress Cynthia, Frank shows her his time device, allowing him, or them, as he offers, to travel anywhere in time. Cynthia has the talk with him, and leaves.

The next morning, Cynthia awakens to find the world has changed. People she knows don't know her, and she has a lower position in the company. She makes her way through the odd day, and finds Frank has a job at her office. He again makes a pass at her, but she refuses him. Cynthia, at least, finds that Paul knows her, and finds that comfort. During the night, she senses something happening. Her world changes again, and this time Frank is an executive at the company. He insinuates her life will be better if she goes out with him, but she demands he stay away from her. She runs to Paul, but he barely remembers her from college. Her world changes again, and finds that's she's engaged to Frank. She runs for her life, but cannot escape Frank.

Cynthia realizes Frank's time device is the only means she has of escaping her stalker. She goes through with the wedding, and then kills him on their honeymoon. With the police on her trail, she gets to the time device and goes back to before she met Frank. She misses the fundraiser, and heads to the cafe where Paul hangs out.

" A video game that parodies Greek mythology."
Zeus on the Loose, a black comedy-laden survival horror game where you play as greek mortal women who have to endure and escape the god's advances. Wasn't too well received for its inconsistent tone and approach between dark comedy and serious horror deconstructing conventions of ancient greek mythology and culture.

"A quirky indie comedy about a mid-atlantic town where a large globster washes up and gives the town a whole lot of attention from outsiders and how it affects many of its characters, like its teen protag and his struggling family. Its final scene is of a wobbegong-like kaiju emerging and taking the globster away as several characters look on in shock and confusion."

Suddenly, strange things begin to happen across the globe. Martin digs deeper and finds out that these are signs of the coming of the gods. And mankind only has a short time to stop it. In the other ending, Martin fails again to convince people. He is then approached by a member of the cult whom informs him that the elder gods will allow a certain number of humans to live and worship them. Since he killed one of their number he may take the killers place among them. Martin stops to think about the offer.

Zoombie Tunes

An angry animator decides to twist a cartoon by having Yosemite Sam return as a zombie after falling off a cliff. The zombified Sam spreads the infection to other characters, and soon Bugs Bunny, Daffy, Sylvester, and Granny are left to hold off the undead. They barricade themselves in an Acme warehouse and use whatever they can to defeat the seemingly invincible zombies. The zombies break in, and three of them are infected. Bugs Bunny finds himself surrounded, screams, and then wakes up on his couch. On the television is Elmira's Midnight Movies, featuring Night of the Living Dead. He sighs, relieved it was just a nightmare.

Genghis Kahn vs the Stonn

Genghis Kahn's empire is in peace, but then a city rebels against him. Genghis and his army find that the rebels are actually alien beings intent on strip mining the empire of its natural resources. Genghis Kahn fights back against an adversary with greater technology, and his efforts seem wasted. However, Genghis gets his hands on a piece of alien tech, and uses it to fight back. The battle wages back and forth until Genghis gains the advantage, forcing the alien overlord to reveal their special weapon; A giant ape like creature. Genghis Kahn's army kills the ape and Genghis kills the alien overlord. He then takes the hot alien princess for a wife and marches home.

Some critics felt the giant ape, often referred to as Genghis Kong, was a low point of the film, but otherwise it was a passable action sci fi film.
