I'm guessing you mean 12AM as the former and Phantasm as the latter? If so, I agree. Phantasm's mystery story is really weak, the movie is a lot better when you already know the big twist and can focus on the more interesting details.

McKellan. I freaking love that movie and honestly would be ecstatic to get him to play a still in his mental prime traditional Sherlock. He just really nailed the role for me. Also the movie was just really really well made and polished to me. It's not just one of my favorites of the past decade, but among my favorite Sherlock Holmes films in general.
I unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and without a doubt hate Godzilla vs Kong.

5. Willy Wonka (gene wilder)

No! Don’t insinuate that including one of the holy pieces of modern media is “cheating”!

I didn't mean it as disrespect but rather that it works so well because of how the show builds up the characters. For that reason its completely inseparable from the show. Now in many ways that does make its accomplishments that much more impressive, but its not really comparable to the vast majority of other movies because of that.

Agreed. The End of Evangelion isn't anything resembling a standalone story, its impact is entirely dependent on the preceding twenty-six episodes.

I can't stand Prometheus. I like a lot of elements of it, but as a whole it is a mess.

I LOVE Signs though, for me, that movie is a masterpiece...by far Shyamalan's best work.

No, no, I’m being serious. You put G98 in your top 10 on a Godzilla forum. Ditto with MLP.
