Isn't RDJ making a cameo in Black Widow?LegendZilla wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 4:28 pm Yeah, but it's not like we're getting RDJ as Tony Stark or Chris Evans as Cap again. Recasting them is inevitable.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Other than that, Tony’s not coming back unless it’s an alternate timeline version.Gigantis wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 4:58 pmIsn't RDJ making a cameo in Black Widow?LegendZilla wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 4:28 pm Yeah, but it's not like we're getting RDJ as Tony Stark or Chris Evans as Cap again. Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Did you not read MM's post on the last page? That's obviously the point of the Multiverse stuff that is being introduced. It will allow them to circumvent death, soft reboot anything at any time, and generally disregard continuity restrictions at will without having to jump through the hoops of a hard reboot.LegendZilla wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 4:28 pmYeah, but it's not like we're getting RDJ as Tony Stark or Chris Evans as Cap again. But yes, I think a full hard reboot is inevitable somewhere down the line. The current MCU(s) will dry up eventually, and then there will probably be a hiatus for X amount of time before a reboot is attempted. This is probably fifteen or twenty years out, though.

It's actually Enchantress, since her name in the credits is "Sylvie"

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Seems like an amalgamated version of Lady Loki and Sylvie the Enchantress. We’ll know more in coming episodes, that’s what it seems to me at the time of writing

Just finished it.
Loved it until the third act.
Rest of it was good (Florence Pugh honestly stole the show so much, I kind of wish this movie came out sooner just so she could have more time in the MCU. Well that and the other obvious reason) but it really tanked for me after that.
8/10 at least.

I'm very much out of the loop, but I heard there was an alt-right brigade review-bombing Black Widow? What's up with that? I thought even they liked the character.

Nah I haven't heard any of that, just that the film is very mediocre. What they did with the villain was a total waste though. Origins Deadpool levels of waste.

People seem to think as soon as a Marvel film happens to have severe critique, it has to be due to some external threat. War film doesn't do well? It's those goshdang hippie lefts.
If a marvel film doesn't do well? It's because righties hate women !!!

Look, I’m just asking based off things I was told yesterday. I was curious about what controversy was there.

And I'm just stating the general issue surrounding modern film critique. Don't take it personal lol.Spuro wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 12:03 pm_JNavs_ wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 11:23 am Added in 4 minutes 16 seconds:

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
If BW isn't doing well, I imagine the year of delays are mostly to blame. That, and it frankly didn't look very interesting in the trailers. On top of that, Disney probably shot themselves in the stupid foot with this deluge of TV shows. Audiences don't need to wait months and pay theater prices for their MCU fix when it's on Disney Plus every week.

Could this mean:
It's not unheard of for Marvel-Disney to start planting seeds for future projects.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Just watched BW today. The movie has it's biggest strength in the first act, the opening credits are a wonderful piece of art & I love how most of the movie is in a very similar style to CA:TWS.
Taskmaster was the most interesting element of the movie to me and I did like the reveal of his identity. But him being on-screen only for like 2min during most of which he isn't even acting by his own will but controlled is just as much a no-go to me, as him being finished-off at the end of the movie.
What's this addiction of the MCU to barely use any of it's villains and killing/finishing them off after 1 movie only?

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Its not entirely related but we got our first official "crossover" with Deadpool, where he and Korg review the Free Guy trailer.
