We aren’t saying people shouldn’t care. At all. We merely pointed out that it’s been an ongoing thing and we’ve had plenty of opportunities to care before. I hope we do something now, like pressure the Brazilian government to stop deforestation (which has been in decline for about a decade now). Cattle grazing is a problem too, something I think lab-grown beef could mitigate, but I think it’s still largely in the late research phase.
