Oh man, Yu-Gi-Oh the show was arguably bigger for me than Pokemon. That sucks. :(

I've never played or watch Yu-Gi-Oh, but.. jeez, hearing that he drowned genuinely gave me the chills. He seemed like such a nice guy, definitely did not deserve to go out in such a terrible way.. :(

I hope Kazuki rests in peace.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Tony Sirico, the actor who played Paulie Walnuts just died. RIP, he was one of my favorite sopranos characters.

Last year it was Berserk's Kentaro Miura and now Kazuki Takahashi. I wonder who 2023 could claim...

I grew up with The Sopranos. Pretty tough, losing Teruyoshi Nakano and Tony Sirico in the same week.

Beloved character and television actor Larry Storch of F Troop fame has passed away at 99.

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/larry-st ... 40198354b4

Fun little tidbit, Storch met a young wannabe actor during the war named Bernie Schwartz and tried talking him out of getting into pictures. Bernie Schwartz is the birth name of future Hollywood legend Tony Curtis.

Beloved character actor L.Q. Jones, best known for his roles in films like The Wild Bunch, Hang Em High, and the Chuck Norris action classic Lone Wolf McQuade, has passed away at age 94. Alongside being a staple TV guest star throughout the 60s and 70s he was also a writer/director, most notably the 1975 sci-fi cult classic A Boy and His dog which starred a young Don Johnson.

His film debut (Battle Cry, from which he adopted his screen name) was actually on TCM this morning, so that's a nice unintended send-off. RIP.

Looking over his filmography, I guess I know him best in Ride the High Country, a truly great western (and maybe Peckinpah's best film?) which comes highly recommended.

Japanese actress Yoko Shimada, best known for her role on "Shogun", has died of cancer at age 69. I will always remember her for her sympathetic role as the samurai's wife in Christopher Lambert's The Hunted.
