Frank Bonner - best remembered as Herb Tarlek on WKRP in Cincinnati, though some of you may know him from his appearance in the cult horror classic Equinox, or as Father Hargin on Just the Ten of Us - at 79 years of age.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

WKRP In Cincinnati one of my favorite shows growing up. Will always miss Herb and his fashion sense.

Sucks. Dude was a legend, and aside from executive-producing the godawful X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there weren't many blemishes on his record.NSZ wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 12:08 pm https://deadline.com/2021/07/richard-do ... 234786372/
RIP, Richard Donner.
Hopefully WB will bury Lethal Weapon 5 with him.

In my honest and humble opinion, the Superman films that Donner was involved with back in the day have not aged particularly well. Regardless, his loved ones have my condolences.

Another master artist from the golden age of TV gone. His version of Twilight Zone's "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" still hasn't been bested (even with the ridiculous gremlin) despite two subsequent attempts. RIP.

Re: Celebrity Obituaries and Passings
Richard Donner upsets me. I recently watched Goonies for the first time (after catching snippets of it for years on tv and movie nights). It was on Japanese TV recently, so my girlfriend and I watched it. She's also a big fan of Lethal Weapon, so it's pretty upsetting.

Wow. I hadn't clicked together that he directed that episode. Makes me more sad.

That really sucks man. The Goonies is such a classic to kids of my generation. Its funny watching through Perry Mason and seeing Donner listed as the director of several episode. It was a bit of a shock as I never realized until relatively recently that he was active in Hollywood that far back.

Donner was a legend with range (The Omen, Superman I and II [if Donner's Cut counts], The Goonies, Lethal Weapon 1 to 4, Scrooged) and so many filmmakers making big movies today (especially comic book/superhero movies) are in a tremendous debt of gratitude to him.

The Omen and the first two Superman films will always be my most favorite films directed by Richard Donner. He will be missed.

Really crushed by Joey's death. Absolutely insane drummer. Very glad I got to see him perform live.
