This has been talked about for years. I hope this does become widely accepted, just for the irritation and confusion it would cause. You take the heart and soul of everything dinosaur, and go "well, ackshually..."

I doubt it will. Seeing whose name is attached to it makes me understand perfectly why there's pushback against it.

I’m listening to Thomas Holtz (who peer reviewed it) break it down on a podcast. It’s a very, VERY weak argument with almost no evidence behind it.

Back in the Eocene, Andrewsarchus would've been the undisputed King of beasts, while in the Miocene it would've been Daeodon.

More evidence for Spinosaurus being a mostly aquatic hunter has come to light. The same evidence seems to show that Baryonyx was also largely aquatic. On the flip side Suchomimus appears to have been mostly terrestrial (or at least a shoreline or wading hunter).

What does said evidence consist of specifically?

Suprisingly, the main reason for this conclusion is actually their bone density.

Ben G. Thomas has a video all about it on YT. It's apparently a study that will have a lot of other applications for studying other animal groups, too, so pretty productive.

There was another one where Spinosaurus and Baryonyx were having fun in the water while Suchomimus was thrashing and screaming in terror while trying to stay afloat, but I can’t find it unfortunately.

^ Now he's John Hammond.

Yeah, this thing looks amazing! Obviously we've seen a lot of these documentaries before, but it's been a very long time since I've seen one that looked this impressive. Not since the OG Walking With Dinosaurs, probably. Guess I'm subscribing to another goddamn streaming service...

Does anyone else think this could get a eventually get a follow-up revolving around the Cenozoic era?

Actually it the other way around. Attenborough became a naturalist because of his childhood fascination with Plesiosaurs.

Could triceratops possibly be gray in color if it were alive today?
