Re: Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread
This big beauty arrived today:
According to Club Tokyo, this is the "Irasawa" blue variant of the Monster Heaven Kinggoji. I have to say, I'm enthralled with this figure. He's so aggressively blue that I can barely keep my eyes off of him. Without a doubt, he's my most colorful Godzilla figure and one of my most colorful kaiju figures yet.

^ Cool.
Anraku Ansaku Kilaaks
CCP Gs (they released two color variants of these)
Unreleased CCP Gs
Gigabrain unreleased Desugoji

There was a rumor of a desugoji from Gigabrain (with an unpainted prototype picture circulating) but nothing from Marmit since Orga. CCP has recently released two new stylized sculpts for G'54 and G'64 with teaser images of additional Godzillas from later in the series). Anraku Ansaku has done a Mothra larva (two variants) and Kilaaks (male and female variant) which is pretty cool. Right now Marmit, M1, Marusan, Hazawa Gumi and Gigabrain are only pumping out new paint variants.

Thanks for the heads-up, KlenSeven... I just pre-ordered the Kilaaks.

I've been waiting a long time for this. They're going to look great in the line-up with the Mysterians, Miss Namikawa, and the gorilla from the Black Hole.
Now if I we could only get an alien wearing one of those wacky helmets from Terror of MechaGodzilla...

Re: Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread
Gah this thread can't be on page 3 ever again!
Anyhow - i've been feeling the stylized itch coming back. Still trying to track down the Figure King - Gigan 2004 (Remolded Ver/Chainsaw), Kiryu 2002 Battle Pack (SuperFes Black/Silver) ver and the Vinyl Wars Gorilla Alien. My big 3 to get. All of which pop up for over or around 150! Other then that - maybe the Vinyl Wars Blue/Black G84. I still dig the colors on that guy.
Did anyone actually order and get the Vinyl Wars Mechagodzilla 1992 by any chance?

Well I guess for some weird skreonking reason there are no new ones coming out soon. Any idea why? I know people were buying them because they usually were sold out pretty quick.

They just put up a Battra Larva and before that a very beautiful Son of Godzilla incarnation of Godzilla. If your referring to new sculpts, someone theorized it had to do with Bandai having a choke hold on the rights or it had to do with the contract not allowing new sculpts. Cannot validate the authenticity of the claim, but the latter seems plausible.

Looks pretty nifty. Diamond's distribution definitely seems to be petering out, though.

I always thought this was a lame line but I've really gotten to appreciate it and enjoy it. I purchases this Godzilla 62 in the spring and it's quickly become one of my favorite pieces of my collection.

I got lucky with mine got it through a dealer at a con. He said that they will become rarer because that mold was recalled. Got it for it's release price though so lucky meSpaceG92 wrote:Welcome to the fold!Godzillian wrote:I always thought this was a lame line but I've really gotten to appreciate it and enjoy it. Re: Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread
It's a pretty great figure; I got mine for a killer price on eBay last year. I don't think it's technically from the Monster Heaven line (I've seen it labelled as "Semi-Real"), but it certainly makes a stark companion piece to the line's other sculpt of the suit!
Currently I have three figures from the Monster Heaven line, specifically. I obtained the gorgeous Gigan on the left this spring from a fellow collector (for yet another killer price), and he's easily one of my favorite figures now. I try not to play favorites, either!

I never cared for in the slightest, but the Marmit did make it look good. Minor regret on that one.Godzillian wrote:Anyone else pissed they missed the new 67 Godzilla? Looked absolutely fantastic
Major regret on missing Gorilla Seijin and most likely this new Burning Godzilla.

This summer I finally marked a grail off my list.
Among the best MH sculpts, no doubt. This is not the Medicom release. It's the glossier of the early issues.

When the gloss is juuuuust right. Seriously though, it pulls it off well and it compliments the paint perfectly.Jomei wrote:This summer I finally marked a grail off my list.

I really wish some of the older release color ways would get reissued or something similar to it. Maybe i'm projecting a bit - because the GMK colorway I want goes for 500+ lol.
