What else could it be, given the dorsal design?

Understandable, I guess

As someone else pointed out, its a city destruction version that has creative use of color highlights. I just assumed it was based off a poster and wrote it off as a "poster version".

Yeah, nah.

That's cool to see confirmed; thanks for sharing! I am again amazed at how many details have been overlooked or taken for granted by the fandom even after all these years.

That is awesome!!!!!

It’s EXACTLY like the old Trendmasters “Godzilla Attacks New York” play set!

They sure dont make playsets like they used to. I miss the days of Kenner's Jurassic Park Command Compound.
Its cooler than nothing, but I wish they were actual figures instead of paper cut outs.

You can say that again, this one looks kinda rough. I guess its a sign of the times since it was Playmates themselves who released an absolutely badass Skull Island playset many moons ago; one of my favorite playsets.

Considering the absolutely amazing playsets Playmates used to do for lines like TMNT back in the day, the cardboard dioramas here are pretty pathetic.

Apparently they are out in Target. They moved from (some stores?) from the Collecters isle to the same isle as the JP World Stuff which one of my target has it.

Saw these on Ebay; might be old news to some, but the first Monsterverse wave is making its way out already.

Kong's proportions are more accurate than I previously thought; the arms look much better in-hand. No signs of Terrestris yet that I've seen.

God, the packaging looks SO much better than that weird ass blue and orange that GvK stuff came with.

Quote of the Year:
plasmabeam wrote: Tue Dec 05, 2023 3:03 am Hear me out on this. What if Godzilla is actually Suko’s father? In GvK when Godzilla defeated Kong and they were roaring at each other, what if Godzilla inseminated Kong at that moment and that’s why they were screaming?

Might pick up the G 2014 if they do a normal version.

I'm thinking of picking up one to keep sealed for the collection and one to open and customize.

If Playmates keeps doing Godzilla and Kong, I hope they do a feral Godzilla on all fours. That would make for a fun toy!

God I f- hate dynamic poses. Godzilla looks like he's forever nutting. Wouldn't have been bad if they just sculpted a neutral head.

That being said. Might end up doing what I did with the GVK line. 1 for display and 1 for MIB because im weird. Assuming I can walk into a Target and find one before scalpers get to it, and if Targets god awful atrocious website actually puts a listing for it WITHOUT a cancerous "Markerplace" format. The STUPIDEST thing big retailers did was go "Market Place" to compete with Amazon.

...d-does he? Is that what that looks like to you? I mean, more power to you if that was your first thought but...sounds like you've got some underlying issues to take care of there, pal!
