That custom paintjob looks great! The removal of the extra gloss really helps the detail show.

They honestly should have just went with that paint app instead. Neca figures are awesome don’t get me wrong, but they always seem to just be missing something. They’ll look great from the side and then awful from the front (KingGoji). I feel like if they had better referencing they could make an awesome figure, which is why they should try to use a couple more shots of the actual film to base their figure on. Not saying they don’t, but if that IS the case, they could definitely be better figures. I’m grateful though, $25 figures that are quite decent? Sign me up! Hope this line keeps going, Tamashii aint doing shit with their line!
You guys think it's just done? Even after Playmates lines are done with? I'm sure after GvK they will be able to make new figures if they purchase a new license. Is that not possible or something?

That's pretty much the consensus. NECA is permanently done with the Godzilla license forever. All the figures they've done will skyrocket in price and the line will go the way of their Pacific Rim line.

Has a line lost the license and got it back at a later time?

F13 wasn't necessarily "lost" but it was definitely on hiatus while the whole legal debate raged. Now that it's kinda-sorta-settled, they're able to finish them up.

NECA staright up announced they are dropping the line.
Not hiatus, not taking a break, "WE ARE DONE WITH GODZILLA" in all but red giant letters.
Its sucks when you get a product taken away without getting a suitable substitute in return. I don't mind them dropping the line it's why they're dropping it that's lame. Oh well I guess that's one less headache for them.

The way they talked about it they're still interested in doing Godzilla, but are just unable to do so at this time because Playmates has the license and isn't gonna be giving it up any time soon.
So it's no ta total impossibility that they will come back to it, just not super likely in the near future.
Yeah, I never got the intention that the line was being ended forever with no return in sight. I always saw it as temporary while Playmates is in town. I think we might see something new in at least the next two years.

I managed to get the 89 and 03 today. Blown away by them! They're outstanding figures!
It's such a shame NECA were stopped here. Especially since it would've been 04 or 2000 in the future, as they were some of the only Godzillas left they hadn't done.... ;-; Those would have been truly beautiful with this level of quality.
By the way, does anyone else think the 89 has a weird jaw?? I didn't expect it to be able to open all the way, to the point it touches the neck.

Me:
Godzilla 2000 is one of my favorites. They would've killed it for sure.
