-I love the Heisei series since I thought the series had the best re-desgins, the best Godzilla, good action, and some good characters.
-I think GINO is a decent monster movie without the name Godzilla.
-I think Godzilla vs Megalon is a funny movie but a mockery of the franchise.
-I don't think Godzilla Final Wars was that bad.
-i think Godzilla 2000 is a boring movie.
-I don't think Mothra Vs Godzilla and Ghidorah The Three Headed Monster are that good.
-My favourite Godzilla's human character is Miki.

Yes, Monster Zero is certainly the best part of the mid-60's trilogy, thanks in no small part to the greater presence of human drama. Ghidorah is arguably the weakest of the three (while still quite good), while Mothra vs. Godzilla falls somewhere inbetween. The trilogy is where the Showa series peaked (although I prefer some of the Toho sci-fi films of the mid-to-late 1950s and early 1960s that built up to that peak, such as Gojira and Mothra).

Astro Monster is great - the best Ghidorah film - but I will always prefer Mothra vs. Godzilla. Astro Monster has the stronger characters, but MvG has a solid cast as well combined with more destruction scenes and monster battles, great Godzilla and Mothra suits, and my favorite Ifukube score.

-My least favorite Godzilla series is the Hesei series. I enjoy all the films, but these films are just damn slow and the monster battles are boring.
-I have not seen all the films.
-I hate GU, but love GSTE and DAMM
-I am excited out of my mind for the new comic.
-I sometimes feel Godzilla is a character that has not been used to his full potential since Gojira.
-I am not a fan of the Hesei or GMK Godzilla design.
-I think the 90's Gamera films are better in quality then the majority of the Godzilla series
-GTS is a damn good tv show.

People are missing the point of this thread and just listing basic thoughts on Godzilla without context lol
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

As I've confessed before, monster scenes and fifty cents will buy you a cup of coffee, in my opinion.

Thats okay Living Corpse sometimes I feel the same way. I also enjoy the campy films as well because to me they really entertaining while the serious Godzilla films hold more of a dark tone.

When I was a kid, I used to think that those old people watching the youngsters and eventually the final battle in Godzilla vs. Hedorah were aliens who had come with Hedorah. Seriously, who were they?

- I enjoy all Godzilla films and incarnations of Godzilla, despite how much flak I may throw their way.

- I hate how the Fan Fiction section of this forum has very little Fan-Fiction.

- I find that because of my own uber-fan status, I would be unfit to Direct a Godzilla film.

- I have considered many times "retiring" briefly to pursue other interests.

- On a completely opposite note, when my Madman DVD of Godzilla Vs. Megalon I'm Marathon-ing the franchise.

Yeah. It's the only Goji movie whose Americanization I thought was well done. (Though it's been a while since I've seen either of the movies.)

So...you're talking about GODZILLA 1985, not RETURN OF GODZILLA. ROG was dubbed in Hong Kong, and that particular dub (and version) has never seen release in the states. It's the same as the Japanese version, but features English credits and the RETURN OF GODZILLA title.

To me, RETURN OF GODZILLA is the title when referring to the International version, and in some cases, the Japanese version (though GOJIRA 84' is preferred by fans it seems). GODZILLA 1985 is so different, that I usually refer to it by it's title, or as "the New World cut".
