At least we see Tiamat get some attention in a comic book.
On topic, has Israel ever been a scene for a kaiju film? I'm not suggesting that Jerusalem be wrecked, as destruction of the Wailing Wall might seem insensitive, but other cities could be targets.

I'd like to see what Kaiju would do to Portland, Oregon. I live near there, and it would just be fun to see it in a movie.

Came here to post this. Detroit, baby.Major sssspielberg! wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 1:34 pm Detroit.
I wanna see the RenCen knocked over, Joe Louis get a more dignified demolition, etc etc.
Also Godzilla turn to the screen with a big bottle of Pineapple Faygo, wink, and throw a thumbs up as he chugs it in one drink.
Whoop whoop.
Also, i'd like to see more kaiju attack towns and rural areas. Doesn't always have to be a big city.

Seattle would be a great choice! With all the naval bases in Puget Sound, I'd love to see a USNavy vs. Kaiju movie!Tyrant_Lizard_King wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 9:46 am Seattle needs to get it more often. Honestly we've never really seen a kaiju attack Los Angeles either. LA has been hit in numerous disaster flix but rarely ever giant monster movies. Same goes for Miami.

Yeah… it would be a horrible idea for them to target Jerusalem. Other cities could be an option though, and seeing the powerful Israeli military square off against a monster would be cool. Missiles and nukes galore.edgaguirus wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 9:58 pm

Has a kaiju ever been at the grand canyon or niagara falls?

In live action, those settings might make an interesting entrance for a kaiju. Imagine a bipedal kaiju climbing out of the Grand Cayon.

Rulers of Earth (and the IDW comics in general), feature a variety of locations, and I recommend people check them out, for a change of pace than just “Tokyo, Tokyo, Tokyo”.

Considering Kumonga's underground lair in SoG, the Grand Canyon is a perfect place for the giant spider.

In Marvel's GODZILLA:KING OF THE MONSTERS issues ten and eleven. Godzilla, Red Ronin, and Yetrigar do battle in the Grand Canyon.Destoroyah of Worlds wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 10:14 pm Has a kaiju ever been at the grand canyon or niagara falls?
Martha's Vineyard I wouldn't mind seeing get torn into by a rampaging kaiju. Likewise since I saw ONE CRAZY SUMMER, Nantucket.

The Everglade swamp would be an interesting place for one to show up.

Re: What city/place would you like to see a kaiju at?
I said this in another thread, but I think that Kagoshima in Kyushu is a site long overdue for an epic kaiju battle. At least as far as Japan goes.
Sure Godzilla showed up there in Godzilla Vs SpaceGodzilla, but for how long, like 3 seconds? Anyways, Another place I think could use an on-screen kaiju attack is anywhere on the Island of Shikoku (the smallest of Japan's main islands). Seriously, Tokyo as iconic as the city may be, has been done to death.

I know we did get to see the Femuto wreck Las Vegas in Godzilla 2014, but I'd love to see a more extended kaiju battle set there, preferably at night. Seeing the Vegas Strip lit up in all its decadent glory with a behemoth battle in the middle would be one hell of a spectacle.

That would work too. I hated Vegas. I wouldn’t mind seeing a Kaiju or two wreck it down.TheLastGezora wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 5:33 amKaiju wouldn't be a problem in Texas, everything's bigger there.ShinGojira14 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 5:24 am Texas.

But yeah, what city in it do you think would be best suited?
Meanwhile, how about seeing a kaiju resting in a seaside town of Newfounland?

Not that it really counts, but Varan did attack Galveston, Texas in Marc Cerasini's Godzilla 2000.

Re: What city/place would you like to see a kaiju at?
I always dreamed of the Maryland & Delaware beach resort towns ( a nearly continuous stretch from Ocean City , Md in the south up to Lewes , De in the north ) playing host to a kaiju onslaught on film ; plenty of condos & other high - rise buildings for scenes of miniature destruction ...
