It's been awhile since I've done one of these, but upon recent reflection, I think mine would look something like this:

Not going off of what are "the best" or even seriously ranking them, but these are the ones I usually look to rewatch when I'm in the mood for a Godzilla film.

1) Gojira (1954) - My favorite Godzilla movie, my favorite monster movie, and one of the my Top Ten favorite films of all time

2) Godzilla Vs. Destroyah (1995) - Great bookend to the first movie and a near perfect way for Godzilla to go out.

3) Mothra Vs. Godzilla (1964) - Represents the high mark in quality for Godzilla's key craftsman, and delivers the very best that the genre could offer at that time.

4) Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah (1991) - I love it for its wild and insane "no holds barred" approach. Cyborgs? Time Travel? UFOs? Nothing is off limits. Interwoven to all of that is alot of dramatic intrigue as Godzilla and Ghidorah's roles swap throughout the film and get tied to each other through their origins, and of course I love the stuff with Godzilla and Shindo, giving us probably my favorite moment in the entire franchise when they "reunite".

5) Destroy All Monsters (1968) - The wild monster mayhem makes this one feel like a party, but what puts it high on my list was how I saw it the first time. This was the final Showa film I hadn't seen, so when it finally aired on the Sci-Fi Channel, I made a party out of it, and it was almost everything I wanted it to be.
